London
London - more theatres, home of Hollywood movie premieres, better established fashion week, carnival, better social benefits for low income families, better hub for international travel - bigger airport system - better working conditions - less segregated communities - 2 hour train to Paris - more green spaces - more Michelin starred restaurants with a range of cuisine - better food and drink because of Europes higher farming / fishing standards as well as daily imported ingredients from France and Italy - better university / education system, more free attractions / things to do
Everything you said about london is a lie. New York city is the best.
Agree
@FFT2013 not agree
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🫡👍👍😊
Having lived in both cities the public transport is WAY better in London. In general, it’s a much more pleasant experience living in relatively clean, green London.
There are so many Americans that think NYC is better, bc they think that they are the centre of life even tho they're pathetic! They're just too scared to admit that Britain is just better in nearly every way! 😂
I think London has a greater replay value. The parks are a must for me not to feel claustrophobic. The weather is biggest drawback so you have to get used to be an indoors person during the colder months.
Ah, but NY generally gets much colder winters. Most winters it snows in NY..... London can go or five years or more without a single drop of snow during winter.
London is protected by the 'gulf stream' which accounts for its milder winters ..... whereas NY isn't.
But NY probably has warmer summers too.... though London is catching up on this front. Don't bet against a period of intensely hot weather this summer in London - it'll come at some point.
Finally, London has better Autumn colours, simply because it has more green space...so more opportunities for trees to put in big displays. It also has nicer Spring's aswell. For the same reason: Blossom.
Easy, LONDON! Theaters, parks, nice people, history, transport,
Food is so bad it’s crazy
NYC has history too
@@99994139 half of it is British and Dutch.
@@Jimbe3 No it isn't.
yes, history of looting.
I've lived in both. London, hands down.
Wow I thought this video had like 1 million of views. Amazing content, top quality, keep it up
Thanks, glad you liked it!
I know I’m British but London is better by far. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.
London. Its not even really close. I think anyone who has spent time in both would agree, regardless of nationality. There are few, if any, cities in the world that can compete with London in a holistic way. There are cities with better nightlife, cleaner air, better restaurants...but if you take the city as a whole and compare it to any other city as whole, I really cant think of one that is on the same level. Tokyo maybe..but even Tokyo doesnt have the rich history London has.
rome solos
Great video!
Great video, keep it up
There’s really no competition because they are completely different cities. Both suffer from corporate overkill however I take London over NYC on almost every level. Many more green spaces, much cleaner, fewer homeless in the streets, far better public transport and unbelievably now better food scene. Oh also despite Broadway’s reputation, better theatre. I used to love NYC however after my last visit the magic had disappeared, don’t care if I never go back which would have been unthinkable 20+ years ago.
It gets hotter than 26°C in London
New York City has more skyscrapers than London.
wow
I throughly enjoyed this, you should do a city vs city from all over the world just like this style of videos. It’s straight to the point and entertaining! Keep up the good work :)
Thanks, glad you liked it :)
As someone who loves living in NYC, I would still say London wins. Truly a magical place!
Americans need to stop comparing London and New York!! Londons biggest threat is Paris not New York and I've said this for many years. When it comes to art, history, culture, transport system, crime, quality of life, green space and foreign visitor numbers etc minus the banking sector. New York is at a geographical disadvantage being 3,500 miles away from Europe while everywhere in Europe is practically on your doorstep
I have a London vs Paris series coming up, too
This video is very very good
6:11 I think you mean $836 billion
Exactly
London
London, of course! The best place🥰
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nah New York city is the best place
Nah london@@mkm1738
NYC wins in terms of visiting/going on holiday however London is definitely the winner if you’re going to actually live in one of the two.
Make a video on Hong Kong metro vs London Underground pls🎉🎉🎉
You deserve more views!
Thanks 🙂
New York City is way better, the commute time is shorter it’s hella cheap to go around and there’s much more things to do in nyc then in London
I agree visited both city’s more than 5 times. NYC wins!
Everybody told me "In UK bars and clubs close so soon...". Then I went to London and Edinburgh and I spent hours and hours having party hours after midnight. And hey! I'm from Spain! I know what a party is about.
BTW, I think some of the best clubs in the world are in LND: Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Koko, Heaven, XOYO, Drumsheds...
You forgot a little detail. With your salary in NY must pay for health insurance, that in Europe (generally) is free and with unlimited coverage. And:maternity leave (father or partner too) up to 52 weeks (39 are paid), normally you won't be fired when you are ill, etc. And renting a flat is quite more expensive in NY as well. So who need more salary when it vanish the day you get it?
UK has higher taxes tho
@@belopyc777 the Personal Income Tax is the same than in Spain or (quite) the average EU. But if you mean in comparison with the USA, perhaps the problem is not the volume of taxes, but how are they employed for the wellness of people. I guess the problem is that in the US they don't have a minimum education in social policies to apply a criteria in election days neither a party 'more to the left', or at least a real one with people in mind. That's my opinion.
@@belopyc777 Actually for higher tax brackets UK and NYC taxes are essentially the same. Of course if salaries are lower in the UK things that affects it but the tax rate is more or less equivalent.
London pickpocket problem is crazy .
Its called a Big apple for a reason
London beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
This is crazy underrated
not sure about those temperatures for london
Awesome video I chosen London getting now 5 points🎉🎉🎉
I say london 😉
You should’ve picked the winner man
Toronto vs Sydney
I think Sydney would win there 😁
Having lived in both cities, I'd say London is better in every aspect except for pay, so I'm living in New York. London pay is not low, but just nowhere near the level you get in New York.
london
2:14 as a bagel enjoyer I take offense to this
You're wrong about the London bars closing at 11pm. That law finished in the early 2000's. They can be 24 hours now if they choose to.
Lived in both. London hands down.
Do London vs Paris next time
Yes, that’s the plan
Salaries may be higher in NYC, but cost of living is also higher so the gain you make with a higher salary are nullified by the cost of living. Also, NYC subway is open 24 h which prevents maintenance and cleaning from being carried out, and the overall service is worse. London wins on more aspects in my opinion. Lastly, most nightclubs and bars in London now are open past midnight, and there is also the night tube on weekends so you can still get a 24 h service on some tube lines.
>so the gain you make with a higher salary are nullified by the cost of living.
That's not true at all
London 100% best in every category. I’m an American who stayed for extended times in both. No contest. For English speakers I would say London is the best city in the world. Absolutely loved my time there🇬🇧
I don't think British pubs have to close at 11pm anymore.
Not by law anymore, but majority still close at 11
@@UrbanStories Even in the city centres?
Pubs do
@@seansmith445no.. this is really inaccurate. A huge number of pubs close at 1am
What about health insurance and social safety net in general? I'd feel pretty nervous breaking my hand or having any long term inability to work and medical payments in new york.
Still prefer Venus.
It's just quieter and also less activity
And much warmer
But it is over 300 deg. C. You would burn up in 5 seconds there.
Come on… I will NEVER trade my holidays for a NY salary
6:07 I think you mean billion, not million
Yes, my bad
LONDON ❤! It’s safe when I’ve been there many times, they have police helicopters in the London skies catching every scene every minute
London can get way over 30 degrees in the summer and does so often
I wouldn't live in London or New York. For England, I'd live further up like Manchester. For New York the state, I'd live up state, that's about an hour away from the city
Finally:
London - Football
New York - S*ccer
Never heard of stabbing since I have been here
I agree, London is the best, but New York isn’t the worst
Newyork never sleeps
This video seems pretty bias, how do you not choose a hot dog or pizza over a cold dry sandwich? 🤔
"Americans and Brits don't know how to make bread" 😂 So true!!! Bread in the UK and US is so garbage compared to bread in southern and eastern Europe. Spain, Italy, Greece, France, and all the Balkan countries all have way better bread.
You’re talking ordinary supermarket/chain bakeries bread. London has loads of artisan bread places now who’s bread is on a par with Europe. That wasn’t the case 15+ years ago.
@@paullewis2413 Nice, yeah I know about London, and the US has it too. I was exaggerating a bit. The basic bread in the US is garbage but you can find fancy breads like Parisian baguettes flown in from Paris in big cities like New York, LA, and Chicago.
Just to throw a spanner in there - high crime rates can also be misleading. Trust in police can also mean higher rates of reportage, which is why some of the highest sex crime rates tend to be in the most gender balanced societies, such as Scandinavia and the Antipodes. For comparison, London's homicide rate is on par with Sweden or East Asia, despite it being a dense megacity, and its most crime-riddled areas are the richest ones, in order no 1 is the main financial district (thanks to financial crime), the megamall in Stratford (shoplifting) and the entertainment, tourist and shopping mecca of Westminster (theft, shoplifting, drunkenness) . However, it definitely has a crime problem like most big cities.
Sorry but NYC food is amazing. No idea what the fck this dude is on 😂
London because people there don't brag about their country! 😕 *🇺🇸*
Bro is confusing Texas to NY
In my fictional world, both cities are great. Fictional and made up people make these two cities become great
London tube sucks, older lines have trains so small that you can stand up in them unless you are in the middle.
Lived in both. I take NYC any day of the week. The food in London was not very good and public service was terrible in London
You clearly haven’t lived in London in recent years. Food used to be overall bland, now it has the most varied and delicious foods from all over the world.
@@paullewis2413 Nothing beats the food in NYC though.
@@ghjpkshdgtjdgvbzm I’ll take your word for it 😁
@@paullewis2413 Enjoy your Tesco meal deal.
wow how wrong can you get
London ❤
Definitely
NYC !!!!!!
London wins because you can actually Out Run a guy with a knife but not a gun
I’m American and I think London is better
Improve the sound design. The sound between questions is jarring.
I think that New York city is safer
London brilliant
Then I will tell people to subscribe
In my opinion London is the better city
If you make good money NYC by a mile due to lower taxes, private healthcare, more modern housing stock with AC, much more car friendly too. London is really car unfriendly, has a terrible road layout and the mayor is openly anti-car. Not everyone wants to ride the expensive, filthy, congested "tube"...
Private healthcare is worse. There you can get private healthcare in the uk, just the public is generally better, though it does need some improvement. You don't need a car in London, the tube is a lot less dirty than the nyc. He said himself that london is larger, and the tube needs to travel further in the high end of the scale (ie costs more). We also have a very reliable bus network. But taxis are for tourists.
Liars! I don't watch UA-cam videos to think. I want them to make a choice for me.
London is so SMALL
compared to
NYC !!!!
The video literally says London is more than double the size of New York City
@@jamspeedster8853 lies
London is bigger than NYC by around 2x. You can look it up.
@@desapole Not really
@@mkm1738 how so
London is safer
London is def safer
New York, without a doubt the greatest city in the world . Over 350,000 movies were made here.. King Kong don’t care about London and Alicia Keys won’t be singing about any of your buildings case close I could go for days
must be all them green parks and history
I think new york city should win because in safety there are less robbery and usual stuff and murders probably only happen if the murderer is your enemy or hates you and if you got lots of people hating you then you should move to a urban area, no where near the skylines of a city.
This is such a bullshit list lol New York has way better food and weather. London is a lot cleaner than NY but NY has a lot more to do.
Fr
Bro New Yorks food is way better that Londons food
Depends where you go and what you like. Food is really quite subjective
U are a British and that's enough
weather for london!? oh my God. London is easily top 10 worst weathers
deal with facts not fantasy
Lost interest when you gave London points for the weather!
