Thanks for calling and helping Vitamin Dee. I was the guy from Texas that came and spoke to you. They came even closer later on. Right alongside the pier pilings.
V ,veteran surfer here. And wanted to give you the resin the surfer is using the Pier. The structure serves as a windbreak. And also a current break. It also dredges out the bottom directly under the pier and makes it easier for the paddle out.. coexisted for years with the fishermen never had a problem. Only remember one guy maliciously casting at us.
I surf beside a pier in Florida. The rule is, you fish, I surf. I'll paddle around lines, no problem. But.. if we surfers see someone cast at us intentionally, then there could be a problem. The ocean is for all and the pier is for all, courtesy rules.
Nobody should purposely ever do that but why put yourself in the situation in the first place? Because if I see fish I'm casting towards them rather you there or not. Im not throwing at you but I'm not missing out on a bite because of you neither
@taureanwright31 True that. Same here, I'm looking for my wave. We normally don't interfere with your lines and we already know there is a shark near us while trying to catch a wave that could be super fun or possibly hurt us. And most surfers fish also so we know how to cast
The first time I ever went there and fished off that pier there was dumbass surfers right under where we casted but like he said they wanted someone to try and throw a hook at them, it’s a pier that u have to pay for then u have to deal with idiots under the bridge trying to fuck up ur bite I won’t go back
Great video, that didn't work out for the surfer 😮 last year down at Navarre Pier, when u had a 12ft tiger shark 🦈 swimming 🥽😅 in the Surf, i Guess they didn't know that JAWS 2 was filmed There,, Stay Safe God Bless,,
Yo V, please try the bluefish with this recipe, soak in {Red Wine Vinegar 20 mins (astringent to remove oily taste), then after removing, sprinkle with garlic powder, old bay, and yes dried oregano, pats of butter on top and under the broiler, / check on them as they cook fast top with fresh lemon and yum you will never throw back another. Please try and let me and your followers know this great recipe. Cheers Peace
From November 1 to March 1 the surfers can come within the 100 yards and can surf on both sides of the pier and the surfers love to get up close. Last yr there was a guy using a short kayak on the east side riding waves. He ran thru lines many time but was lucky and did not get hooked. The Sheriff's Dept is going to play it off as a civil matter unless there's proof of targeting.
It's crazy to think that this is even up for debate... Fishing on a pier = can't move the pier. Surfing on miles of beach line = move yourself/board to another area of the beach where the waves are breaking... #Entitlement #CmonMan
You think the pier would call about people getting to close to pier for safety reason alone when it’s reported.Fisherman shouldn’t have to deal with it.
Surfers have been a problem for many years all the way back to the 60's. I was there when a surfer was hit in the arm with a 3oz ling lure knocking him off the board. he came out on the pier with 5 of his friends to fight. thirty of us fisherman surrounded him and that was the end of it.
Man, that's some BS. I was vacationing in PB during the last week of December and fished that pier several times. I saw some surfers pretty close to the pier once, and a lifeguard pulled up and waved them to get away from the pier. I think they eventually did. That law definitely needs to be enforced for them to stay away. I would recommend at least 500 ft. IMO.
Yep, it seems like folks, this day and time, want to just be a problem to friendly people just wanting to fish and have a good time. They could surf almost anywhere but choose to annoy people who have limited fishing space.
The click bait is actually wild. Quit yappin about the surfers. You are catching bluefish bro. They are all up and down that pier. I've never put a negative comment like this but holy smokes. Go catch something worth putting on the channel my dude.
I'll never understand why those idiots wanna surf right by the peer. Miles and miles of beach but they gotta do it right there. Just a side note. most fishermen i know are 2A guys and girls. Real smart making threats.
There are signs all over the place that say the same thing the fisherman did. In fact, even swimmers are supposed to steer clear of the pier. My buddy got one on the foot. He didn't like that ride.
It’s a fishing pier, not a surfing pier. Back off or get hooked. You can’t be the victim if you’re going to put yourself in situations to get hurt. Surf off
You are a truly stand-up man, VitaminDee! Keep it up!

Surfing too close to the pier misdemeanor at best.
maliciously throwing object at person felony.
Nice job bro fishing in Paradise
Keep it up ! vitamin it’s doing the right thing brother 👊🏽 💪🏼
that bluefish trynna bite u was so funny 😂 there was so many blues at okaloosa it was like 6 -9 pounder’s every cast
7 inch top water with trebles in the back or arm . Best fight you'll ever have . The fish will even scream when you set the hook. It's priceless. 😊
Thanks for sharing 🤙🏾

What is the situation with the bay boat?
Nice day, good catches. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work!
When Bluefish are blitzing in the surf on Long Island they close the beach. My biggest pet peeve with Jaws.
What pier is this?
To reduce the Wind noise you can cut a piece of a woolen sock and cover the microphone,or maybe get a Rycote windjammer 🎣👂🏾🙂
That wind is murder lately. Last time I was out there a surfer was almost at the pilings.
Dee... Where ya been? You still hangin with Bama Beach Bum and Brant?

It's so annoying dealing with surfers. For how strict that particular pier is with rules they should do more about these surfers.

Good luck
Salmon snagging hooks would be great anti surfer tools
They can also get ticketed for harassing fishermen

It's not "surfers"..it's people. I surf and fish. Dicks on both sides. If people could act like adults then people could fish and surf without issue.
No. It's surfers. When you paddle your board through lines that have been out way before you got there, you are the problem.
Bro get you a gotcha plug and fish for Spanish macs great video I am now subscribed if you ever go fishing offshore use live croaker

Felt the same way about him. First he flashed his buddy with his AR and then calls the cops on surfers cause I guess it makes good clickbait
I got 6oz to 8oz says they won't Tory that with me same way boats won't try me at the pier I'm dauphin island
Pretty crazy and unfortunate. You care more about their safety than they do.
I'll never understand why those idiots wanna surf right by the peer. Miles and miles of beach but they gotta do it right there. Just a side note. most fishermen i know are 2A guys and girls. Real smart making threats.
Hey buddy, no need to go back and forth with people sometimes. I haven’t caught a human yet!
There are signs all over the place that say the same thing the fisherman did. In fact, even swimmers are supposed to steer clear of the pier. My buddy got one on the foot. He didn't like that ride.
Can’t even fish in peace unreal

I appreciate that a lot, they kept coming in too close knowing where were casting at.
Can't hear surfer's responses
Well don’t do that then !!! 🧨🧨🧨
It seems that they are willing to take the risk of getting hooked. So if you are willing to take the risk of having a conflict, then keep fishing.
Hey next time you have an issue with them surfer's coming close to the pier call the game Warden he will set them straight bro
First time one of your videos popped on my feed in a long while hate that it’s this one liking as always tho
Rules are rules. Surfing in the Gulf of Mexico is a joke anyway...
Throw a 2oz out there, come up and do something
Not a good look snitches get you know
Pops.
Go back north
