Joyces message is so me! I went to a two room school house. Has never been away from my mom. I spent the first two days in the basement of that school house. It was cold and damp. I hated reading I still to this day can’t sound out words with more than two vowels especially ones that start with the letters C & D. I never read a story book until 9th grade. I hate reading out loud. I have been reading short verses in church but I make sure there are no odd words. Lately our minister has been coming to me as I come in the church on Sunday morning and asking me to read the gospel (Anglican church) God has given me the strength and knowledge to be able to read His word without feeling embarrassed. I love your messages and I love Joyce’s story.
I am blessed by how much Lisa loves Jesus and how much she loves the word of God. She is a sharp knife in the Lord's hand.

This warmed my ❤. I do have a question involving that law to protect women. Wondered why it was necessary, meaning was there a law against taking advantage of women in the first place? Something against what leads up to the need for that or was it often broke so there was need for further law?
What was the end result or the explanation for God making a law were an raped women had to marry her rapest.Were was the loving eplanation?

Stephen was stoned to death by men who had hated (Christ) the truth (Acts 7:59). No one had to teach those men how to hate Christ and His faithful servants, because they were naturally born in that alienated condition of intense hatred for righteousness.

I Love Ms. Harper, yet she STILL does not explain Clearly how GOD helped the women from being Raped or further abused by the man that had to marry her. It's like she tap dances around it.
I wanted a better explanation also. I understand that the man now had to pay the father with silver and to marry the girl, but the poor girl now had to live with her abuser. I guess by holding the man financially accountable and making him take the girl into his home, he is somewhat punished. At the same time though, the girl being in his home means he can rape her whenever he feels like it. I'm baffled...
