Hello!

I am an alumna of King’s too 😀 Could you please confirm if you got any rough sheet to note down answers during the Listening test in the Computer based IELTS. I have only given a Paper based before during my UK admission days and was concerned about the Listening test as one doesn’t get time to note the answers or read questions like one gets in Paper Based.
Heyyy! Wow great to know you’re from Kings too! Yea we did get a sheet for comp based exam
But you won’t need it.
You can directly type out the answers while listening in the blanks on your computer
And then in that time to recheck your answers you can proof read the spellings
Saves up a lot of time :))

Just like you, I am not much into reading, more of a visual person. Gosh my only worry would be that section.

I am really confused between giving a paper-based or a computer-based exam. I have pretty good typing speed and i tried a few computer-based tests on idp official site but they were pretty easy. i just came to know about the site you mentioned in your video so thanks for that but overall i still want to know more on this difference between both of them.

-Yes there are 2 invigilators plus CCTV camera
- Depends on the city, In Pune there were 15 people
- For me Speaking happened 3 days before the main exam
- I booked it a month in advance

With IDP it was not on the same day. But my friend with British Council had on the same day.
In mumbai IDP had on the same day.

The same thing happen to me regarding speaking, she cut me off and at some point, she thought that I have memorised the answers, which in reality all of my answers were my brainchild. Unfortunately, she awarded me with 5.5 bands in speaking. I'm still furious about it.

Hey Abid, I think we can have all letters in capital. But I am not 100% sure. I didn’t do that. You can check on a more verified source !!

hi devyani the website you are mentioning is not based of Cambridge ielts test as i was also practicing from this website but in many other videos they are saying only practice from the sources which is based on Cambridge department or such as makkar ielts training. i am also going to give computer based exam so this website really helpful ?? do you get any of the question from this site ??????
Idk which website you’re referring to. But the one I recommended is really good. I got 9 in listening only because I practiced on it. Maybe do both websites :))

Hello. I have read on google that if you get a score of 8777 in IELTS than it is equal to CLB level 9. And score 8 need in listening test. But you have scored 9 in listening and you have scored 7 in other 3 tests then why your total becomes 7.5 but not 9?
Idk about this tbh.. It came to 7.5 it means what you read on google might be wrong?

The key is just keep practicing. There are many videos which help you with hacks follow that as well

Overall band of 7.5 is terible!!! Come on dont be like indian parents always wanting 9 grade in everything! I have 7 overall and it is not a fair assessment of english language as it tends to make test taker uncomfortable!
You make a fair point! A 7.5 overall IELTS band score is still quite good. The test can be stressful and scores don't define English ability. As long as you met the requirements for your program, focus on continuing to practice and improve your skills during your studies. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
