Steve, I can't wait to here what you think about the Globe surfskates. The made a run about 5 years with a different truck that didn't get any fanfare, but they now make a magnesium hollow-axle C7 clone. It looks very promising and high value. There's one called the Costa that gets a 21" wheelbase into a 31" board. Thanks for everything. I've got three packs of Sufskate Love wheels coming in next Tuesday from Status to do a small part for the cause.

Just got this deck from my local shop. At first glance I was instantly like, “this is 100% a surfskate”. Got it mounted up, and wanted a longer wheelbase. I ended up drilling new holes and adding 2” of wheelbase at the front and back, making it 4” longer than stock. I really dig the concave profile with the middle channel, but honestly I think it could use even more concave for edge force transfer. As I’m running it, the stubbier tail is nice and snappy in carves, and the longer base out front feels super stable at speed. Running CX trucks and 70mm wheels. Damn fun board.

      Shameless owner of 4 Beamer’s here 😅
The mellow concave profile is interesting. It makes it more conducive to leveraging and doing manuals, ollies, etc. but it definitely doesn’t lock your feet in for big snaps

Ha! Love it, I have mine setup with the Curfboard Trucks and some Fatty Hawgs, still light and agile even though so wide, very fun ride, great video!

What is the weight of this piece of art?

It weighs 1,535 grams in the shrink wrap with a couple stickers in it and no griptape which is 3.38 lbs. It’s a pretty board 🙌

Could one add 17 and 17.5-inch wheelbase options to this, then?

Definitely. This wheelbase is an easy mod for anything between 16 and 18 inches.
You can go past 18. But you’ll need to consider angled risers beyond an 18 inch WB.

Tell your buddy to predrill a couple more wheelbases and I think it will be an easy sell. Nobody likes having to modify a $200 deck.

If only it were so easy 🤣. Agreed. I would love to see Krooked make surfskate decks. They’ve basically done it with this, sans larger WB options.
