I’m using the website Rome2Rio to answer your question. You can look there to get the details. There are frequent trains from Rome Termini station to the town of Tivoli. Then it’s a 10-15 walk (or probably a short taxi ride.) A taxi from Rome is estimated to be $60-$75. Yes, there is a fee. Tickets for the house and garden are €15. Do they have discounted or free entry to the Gardens? If we don’t care to enter the villa but just would like to see the gardens, do we still pay a fee?

Villa d'Este in Tivoli is a place of peace. It has also been used as a location for some movies.
