Maybe your ears are used to a different way of exusting an ornament. Also, music is subjective, so your comment has no certain valuable insight to his performance
All French classical composers are obsessed with ornamentations... listen to pretty much anything by Piroye, just for one more example... French classical organ and clavecin are wonderful, though.
