Guadalajara is one of the most underrated cities in the world. It's a great and developed city. The weather is fantastic. Many Mexicans speak English. Great bars where you can buy a cocktail for 21 pesos
(1,03 USD) huge Forrest part, where you can enjoy nature. Sundays many streets are blocked, so people can do some outdoor sports... And when ever you need beach time, just take the bus to Puerto Vallarta... I have been here for one year and I couldn't be more happy about it 😍

Your review is spot on. I’ve lived there several times over the years for about 3 months. I studied there as well. It’s changed a lot, and I lost interest in it, however I went back in late 2019 and had a blast and was really impressed. Love the fact that there are few tourists. I think it’s a good base, good air connectivity. It was my favorite city in Mexico until I saw Querétaro and then San Miguel de Allende. Keep them coming. I need to get off my ass and upload some vids. Trying to be like you!

Much props for the professional vid bro, you did GDL well hermano👍🏼 gdl was 2nd destination for air travel after doing MdE twice 2020, and i have got to say, its funny how everyone obsessed with Colombia now, especially during the pandemic, while MX has managed the pandemic and stayed relatively smooth to travel for most part, and still gets a bad rep for being place u will die or get kidnapped (literally what a big Medellin focused UA-camr told me when i mentioned gdl being on par). It really is funny and amazing how knowing the facts is much better, colombia is amazing but MX , especially NoW, is definitely much more stable politically and socially than colombia, i am Latino from USA and pass for a local in both mx and col. Even tourists ask me if i am a citizen, so if im saying this just hope someone gets my drift jus bein real, salutes Sly, im looking forward to also checking out guyaquil & Lima as well, hope to learn from your stay there!

I spent 3 months there in Guadalajara last winter and loved it. Even on that sad day that we all heard about Vicente Fernandez died I was dressed up as a mariachi playing bigshot at a party and that day was 12/12/21. Sad day for all those Vicente fans and in general the Mexicans and people in Guadalajara. He was from Guadalajara and also being the mariachi King. Weird, but I was also in Guadalajara when our so beloved Mexican artista and singer Juan Gabriel died back the in August 2016 wow, seems that I'm there when these so famous and beautiful people have died. Ok, maybe no and hopefully no meaning to it all but viva Mexico and viva Guadalajara................................Amor Eterno Y Asi Fue.

  • @jbjay2884

The reason the prices for Airbnbs are a lot higher in Mexico than in other Latin American countries is because of the National lodging tax. Most other countries don’t have that tax and if they do, it’s so low you don’t even noticed it. I’m sure that $650 Airbnb you were staying in included a $150 sales tax.
