  • So today was hot... I really questioned if I should go and film... but I was honestly happy that I did..
The day started with getting to Salisbury Cathedral for 8am or so and setting up in my usual Peregrine Falcon spot, which has good sight lines to the sky and nest site.
For the first few hours, I honestly didn't think I was going to get anything and nearly said f*ck it around 10:30 or so! Until I seen the kestrels again! Then I said to myself ‘Ok well, I will give it some more time’!
Just under a hour later, the female Peregrine Falcon came back with prey and all hell broke loose, when a handful of the juvenile Falcons started doing laps of the spire!
Outside of a few focus challenges ( the rubber ring came off mid shot...) I’m very proud of the footage from today, as well as how far I have come in understanding our lovely local Raptor family!
It was also great to meet a fellow photographer and a member of the local RPSB group, alongside the normal curious passers by!
