  • The Wolf of Wall Street, Jordan Belfort, is known for being an expert at selling stocks, but his sales techniques also show how smart startups use patents to attract and lock down investors. Shows how Jordan Belfort generated interest in a company based on “patent pending” technology, which means they filed patent applications, but these patent applications have not been granted yet, and are not yet enforceable. This leads into one of the biggest mistakes that I see inventors and startups make, which is thinking they need to have an issued patent before they can start selling a product or attracting investors. Also discusses how to properly market your patent assets like the Wolf of Wall Street.

GREAT VIDEO ! ! Your information makes me feel like I'm Getting "Inside Information". You have given me several points of information that I have not heard before and/or did not consider. I Have gone through a 3 year utility patent process and $15,000 + later I realized I had to cut my losses and finish up the patent on my own. I got my patent but had to give up a major point of my invention that the examiner said " Should be Obvious". I just couldn't hang on in the MARATHON of arguments. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this critical information. Your style of speaking and presentation is so easy to listen to - I would guess you are from the midwest, like Missouri or California....just my guess for fun.

    Great video, thank you

Can you please do a video of samples and explanations of successfully filed utility patents? Piecemealing from many different content providers what not to include/include feels like a hamster-wheel to nowhere. One all-inclusive video generally summarizing would be amazing. Please? 🌻
