Another great video, clear & concise…good sound & camera quality…excellent presentation!
Thank you for watching
Your edge leading? I’m looking into that rotating base. Is that something that would work? Also what method would you recommend for the opinel knife? Stainless steel blade very thin.
On the T8 I still do that edge leading sharpened many Opinels on mine. As far as the flipping base I have one but dont use it as my T8 in in the middle of my shop so I walk to the other side
Hi, good explanation of sharpie metod, you can never go wrong with a sharpie
What TOMLOV model do you have, and would you recommend it?
And, just out of curiosity, what camera did you use at the start of the video. It looks like it had "facefollowing" or similar

I have the Obsbot Tiny 4 K see link above they have several cool webcams
What angle are you doing there 20?
if I'm using the sharpie I'm just matching the existing angle
Does this still work well for you if the bevel is so small that it's difficult to see?
Yes …the knives that is general that you will encounter with the smallest bevels are Japanese knives and yes the sharpie trick works well for them as well. If you’re eyes are not great a digital microscope can be a huge help too and if you look through my videos I have some on the ones I use. I have inexpensive and also one that’s now around $150 but if you are new to sharpening a digital microscope will speed up your learning and save you lots of wasted time. I use mine a few times a day but when I started I used it constantly
@@ALXSHARPEN Great, thanks for the reply.
Links are also in UA-cam description to the ones I use and so added links to the video when you fist see the microscope there is a pop up for both prior videos I did on the scopes
