Artificial swarms dont have brood where I come from. 😋 I use the bees in the honey supers when harvesting and give them a mated Queen. That way one can treat with oxalic acid before there is sealed brood.
Simply put 2 - 3 full Size honey supers on a Box of foundation or even drawn comb with a bee escape on it. The Queen is caged in the Box below and the bees from the supers will move down over night. When you take away the supers next day. Give them a feed of 5L Sirup 1:1 or even 2:1. Depending on the number of bees they will draw out an entire box. Within 2 Weeks you have 4 Frames of brood and nice mite free colonies going into winter.

We did this and the queen emerged. A week later she took off and took most of the bees with her. She never came back. :(
