I'm glad they split the games because POE 2 is shaping up to be my dream game.
Rather than making compromises and doing something middling, they're just making the perfect game for "someone" instead of something "viable for everyone"
@@ayoCC Why is that a bad thing? When you try to be everything to everyone, you become nothing to no one.
true, same for me
@@a1pha_star i wasn't aiming for a negative vibe, it was quite a positive comment
Me too because I'd quit Poe if they turned it into this
17:00 So I prefer it to be more involved rather than a blaster like PoE1. I understand you want to be able to multi-task, but yeah..
Same. When I play a game, I like to play a game, when I watch a movie, I want to watch a movie. When I build my character to the point where all content is just on maintenece mode, that I can just play without needing to pay atention, it is usualy the time I create a new character or retire untill the next league. And play something else, like Remnant 2 I'm going through right now. One of the biggest downsides of PoE is that it requires 10 + h a day of mindless grind to get anywhere. I don't have that much time on my hands.
im sure with some meta optimization it will be able to do that. Ppl always finds ways to scale what would be a 10 hit kill into 1 hit kills ten
I don’t even understand why he even wants that he can just do that in POE 1. POE2 should not be POE1 2
im really digging the vibe so far. super immersive, feels a little more high stakes over all.
to all the guys saying its sooo hard. ask someone who goes into poe1 blind how they feel in act4... they don´t even know why they get killed all the time.. - once poe2 got figured out, builds have been created and mechanics have been learned it will be MUCH easier for everyone.
It doesn't look hard, it looks boring, and it doesn't look like it improves on PoE1 in any way.
As any campaign in every arpg@@Hooga89
@@Hooga89 Holy, y’all are negative! 🤦♂️
@@Hooga89 lol, very unpopular opinion xD
@@Hooga89me when I spread misinformation on purpose
Later on in the video you can clearly see the gameplay picks up significant speed. This is good news, i was afraid the game would be slow. It will be slower, but PoE1 is stupid fast.
Using multiple skills for effective builds and interactions is great. Last Epoch does this very nicely as well, good to see they took that idea. The gas cloud into fire damage to explode for example is a great addition, hope there are many more interactions (like in Dinivity).
I really hope they nail the dual weapon set usage to expand the gameplay. I think it would be really cool to play a spear/javelin huntress, and then have a ice escape shot (or whatever it is called) on a bow. I just totally see a cinematic moment where an enemy charges at you, you escape shot to freeze, it and then blast it with lightning spear. That just has to feel good. Hope they manage that.
Another big concern i have is in regards to attack/cast speed and the dodge roll. The dodge roll takes quite some time. I kinda hope the dodge roll speed scale with your movement speed/cast speed/attack speed, to make that feel better too. Currently it looks like it takes too much time to recover, but hopefully that is just an early game thing.
steelmage is not sure what to think about path of exile 2 guys
I watched Ziz's and Subtractem's video about it. They each had very different takes on the game. Honestly I'm waiting until Beta before forming an opinion.
when poe1 came out, it was "oppressively difficult" and slow.
Now we can talk all we want about how poe1 maybe wasnt well tuned when it came out but people still played the shit out of it.
Personally I think it's important they make the game hard at start so that it can last for 10 years of power creep.
I don't think a lot of people here played poe in it's early days. Or if they did they have a pretty bad memory.
Also people shouldn't expect balance to be good at all in a showcase featuring act1/2. I am sure they are more focused on getting systems working, just like they are still working on and improving the skill tree. Then going back later and make adjustments for bosses and such if needed.
Regardless though, you know people are going to eventually find good builds to start with to blast through the campaign.
It's difficult because they mostly use white/blue items and its act 1. PoE1 act 1 with mostly whites and a few blues is also very difficult. By the time it launches maybe there will be a league mechanic that would drop a few yellows every now and than and that will make the game considerably easier.
I mean if u played poe 1 early days, u barely got any loot from monsters too. i would say stuff like merchant recipes made it way more easier to get through levels tho.
This game looks absolutely amazing
My biggest worry when it comes to PoE 2 is that my lizard brain is quite comfortable with a one or two button play style which is PoE1 but, when it comes to PoE2 combo style attacks, I am worried about how much resistance there'll be from myself to adapt to these specific changes where having mindless fun is replaced with a more technical delivery.
Just have to wait and see how it feels for myself but I am not dismissing it from what we've seen so far as far as gameplay is concerned.
I am fairly certain people are going to find builds that blast and are end up being very simple to play.
As much as watching these early game showcases is fun. I am very interested in beta and seeing some actual end game gameplay, and just figuring stuff out.
I genuinely think it will be good but people who love POE1 will likely not like it as much. It seems far too different. Just an IMO
This is gonna be even harder for the new players to get into. As if PoE 1 is not hard enough. Doesn't seem like the right trajectory if you to want to pull in more players.
BRO, its act 1-2. Do you compare people fighting Merviel in act1 on league start to people blasting through tier 16 maps with a headhunter/MB. Why are people getting so baited
once you´ve beaten every boss you´ve learned the mechanics and it will become easier. just like you second dark souls playthrough is like 10 times faster cause you don´t die as much and if you play enough you will reach a point where you die less than poe1 cause every ability is readable and well telegraphed. the first 1-2 leagues will feel brutal though. just like poe1 was hard af when it released. we all have to go through a learning process again. which will much harder to accept by the godtier poe1 players than the normal poe1 player. because we are even now ;)
We will all follow the Ben boss fighting Innovations. I can already imagine the wow moments of like "you can do that?" As our racers discover speed running strats
I think its great, its more tactical and intuitive early on, and im sure the mega blasters will come up with ways to 5 minute speedrun the early game.
I can not imagine playing this game with any kind of fps drops or lag at all.
If i were to base poe 1 endgame on aN act 1 campaign footage, i'd also think like these other bozos in the comment i guess LMAO
This is pretty much my sentiment as well. We are seeing pretty much act 1 gameplay of poe2. If I never played poe 1 and all I ever saw was act 1 gameplay I would probably think the game was kind of shit lol.
So far PoE 2 looks great, I like what I am seeing. But I am holding off actual judgement till beta starts and I can see some actual end game gameplay.
You should've gone and played it. You need hands on experience and your feedback is useful.
The guy says it's a problem if he can't watch a movie while playing and you think his feedback is useful?? Fuck that.
If the shield mobs reflect chaos abilities, that means we have chaos reflect now. I think this kind of reflect is a step in the right direction, as opposed to the global map mod kind.
I still dislike the idea of reflect mobs overall. Like why include that at all? It's just here to be annoying. Another thing that is annoying is freeze and similar effects. Why do they need to exist for players? Because we know that one of the first goals of making a character is making them immune to freeze. At which point it does nothing. Reflect is similar - as it stands, it only appears in maps, when you can make your character either immune to it, or avoid it altogether. No Boss can be really designed with perma reflect as a skill - like imagine if Maven had reflect. It would just prevent huge builds to be viable. Freeze is the same - GGG made sure every character, no matter the build has easy access to achieve freeze immunity. And why? Just because freeze is in the game.
@@Member_zero At that point I'm surprised you don't mention stun. At least it isn't a brick wall to overcome like the reflect mod we currently have. In PoE1 when you attack a mob with the effect, you immediately take damage, but in PoE2 you can see your projectile fly back to you. This is big, because it allows you to dodge or move behind it to counter it.
I see your point, but I kinda like the way they're doing it here. It's better than before for sure.
@@ramus9555 Agree. It is better in PoE2. Now - for sure I am not saying that mechanics like freeze, reflect and stun or bleed don't have their place. I just don't enjoy how they are implemented in PoE1. Where they serve just as a checklist of annoying mechanics a build must be immune to, so that players can ignore these mechanics or their build isn't viable.
Reflect for example could be made so that monster reflects only 1 type of damage. Like how immunities work in expedition league. And with the ability of having several skills in PoE2, this would enable the player to still beat the encounter, but would have to adapt and use different element. That sort of thing, I actually like. But the reflect where it's just impossible to play arround it is not fun. Even if it's just one monster - that would mean, the monster would be auto skip. Which to me always felt bad - when I got impossible rare on the map I have to skip. It is much better now, that archnemesis doesn't exist anymore.
Man I think I'm going to definitely play PoE2 for some time, but ultimately I'm a zoom zoom "unintended interactions" type of guy. I might just blast PoE1 and then play PoE2 to relax my hands/wrists and mind from zooming all day&night.
But who knows maybe PoE2 will be faster than I'm anticipating.
-Also the fixed skills to classes thing doesn't feel like PoE to me.-
Ok thanks guys for clearing that up! :D
@@trip-qg6dpya funny stuff like look at how slow I'm killing Haildrake in 2013
the skills aren't tied to the classes, they've said that a bunch of times
As the person above me said, they won't be locked. It'll be just like Poe 1. They just have them locked right now for demonstration purposes
there's no class fixed skills
The skill acquisition is done through uncut skill gems, which default to the 'class' you started with. All of the other classes are tabs you can switch between on that screen, so the 'classes' end up just being an organization method to help new players.
i thought the passive skill cannot be shown by them?
Pretty sure GGG didn't want the people they invited to show the entire tree / go into detail about each node, cluster and keystone since it isn't finished.
They just don't want it to be shown in detail, because they're still changing all the nodes.
My part time streamer
I dont agree with people saying the speed could ruin the game. The speed looks comparable to last epoch's campaign, which was well recieved. People are just scared for change.
last epoch bosses melt
So funny how ppl complain about slow gameplay in an act 1 demo. As if your zooming through poe1 with a lvl 5 character…
well yeh they buffed lvl 1 monsters too
So far poe 2 looks like a game id play once and be done, maybe twice, it really all ride on how smooth and fun the gameplay loop for endgame is
yea it looks like a different game than the poe we are used to, instead of making an improved version of poe they make it something completely different.. we have to see more but im not super optimistic about poe2
at the same time different i think its better in this situation, they have to cater to different people, people that enjoy poe 1 already got that game, poe 2 is a shot at grabbing people that dont like poe1 but would like another arpg which isnt le or d4@@TvShopOnTv
Bro , it's ok to say you don't like what you have seen or played so far. I think many out there feel the same.
i would not mind if it was slower but way more difficult than POE 1 would make it better than just doing constant auto-dead brain mapping over and over
I play ARPG's exactly because they're chill physically and mentally. All the other games on the market already want you to be a competitive athlete type player. So.. I guess in that sense POE2 will be like all other games. I'll stick with POE1 if that's the case.
I don't like how slow and bullethell-like POE 2 is. Not my cup of tea.
I absolutely hate the zoom zoom, brain off playstyle of PoE1. My favorite part of PoE1 is boss fights. So I'm absolutely looking forward to PoE2 being more challenging.
It looks nice, polished etc - but man does it look SLOW
Idk how much re-playability its going to have right away if there is no campaign skip or even a partial one for alts
Or no level limits for gear so you can use lvl 60 gear instantly at lvl 1
Why is everyone comparing PoE 2 to dark souls. Are we doing the meme again?
Apparently poe1 players want another game they can play while watching a movie on their other monitor or it's toooo hard!
Looks like a great single player game to do once. The current design doesn't feel like it will be something I want to repeat 3 times a year and grind for 500+ hours a league. We shell see tho
thank you steel for being one of the few not just batchest fanboying over poe2 like every other content creator, concerns are definitely real.
Maybe I was hallucinating, but I could have swore they said the streamer showcase was tuned a bit harder than it will be on launch.
Copium. Let's just be happy they split it into two.
They did. Atleast Jousis answered that in a comment below his video
Yeah, they tuned it on exilecon, they tuned it on gamescom, they tuned it on streamer/jorno showcase. Wouldn't be surprised if they tuned it the same on release.
Thoughts.
1 - D6 will release before PoE2
2 - It’s hard because they’re rocking Ruthless loot drops which is not fun. ARPGs are about loot. This game is anti-loot. Yikes.
3 - The flasking system is awful. Infinite flask piano isn’t fun either. This needs work.
4 - Loss of player control is horrible (stuns). Cut it out already, the gaming world has spoken time and again about this.
5 - movement skills are necessary to provide feeling that game isn’t ploddingly slow. Get off the high horse and return movement
6 - so much for any class any skill when your forced into class specific choices.
Boss fights look cool, skills are nice, and environment is well done.
There's no way I play a punishing souls-like version of Path of Exile more than twice or three times, especially if the mapping is like this in its difficulty and pacing as well. I don't know about everyone else, but I got into POE to learn how to blast and chill, and then do just that, with the occasional boss fight thrown in, not to spend my play time un-relaxing.
Don't get me wrong. This game looks amazing, and I'd pay $70 to $100 AUD to own and play it on Steam, GOG, Epic, what-have-you. But Path of Exile 2 is going to be free-to-play, and with the difficulty levels they're previewing in these events, I don't see how GGG can expect the same number of players to return for each new league of Path of Exile 2 that they see currently in Path of Exile 1, in order to drive their sales of microtransactions.
So I'm wondering, is this a huge disconnect on behalf of Jonathan and Mark and have they potentially led Path of Exile 2 down a ...path (pun intended), from which they don't have the regrets to respec? But then I'm also thinking, they can just alter player power and speed and/or monster power and density if players revolt.
Really need to see endgame in order to make a fair assessment, though.
It's going to have potent builds, probably not poe 1 levels of builds in the beginning. The main difference will be the bosses. I'd wager 90% of people out there would prefer using their brain when they fight bosses, so I think you're in a minority there. I'm sure after a decent amount of time you will learn all the mechanics and it won't be an issue anymore. It's okay to stimulate your brain
All of the showcases have been confirmed to be underleveled and undergeared characters. It has been stated by Jonathan himself that active poe players should not consider these showcases as anything more than what they are, showcases. They want to showcase the new animations, the beautiful graphics, etc. This is confirmed
@@dalytennis tons of ppl are saying poe2 looks slow as shit..
You only react to your girlfriend zizarah
Looks great, really excited for PoE2 (but I dislike fast zooming)
POE2 just looks like worse version of LastEpoch lmao completly lost its soul...
What would you say about poe 1 if all you ever saw and knew was basically a bit into the first act?
@@Mesoz so you mean the beta? that well clearly well recieved?
@@steadychasingmoneybands6213 You mean nearly over 10 years ago when the only thing to compare it to was D3? (lol). With how much of a shitstorm d3 was, I think anyone would of been happy with anything.
Also keep in mind, what poe was in beta, is not what it is now. PoE was honestly quite a bit slower way back then, at least compared to now.
I love poe, and have played on and off since beta. So it's not that I am talking shit on poe. I love the game, I am excited for this next league.
It's just weird to me that people are so doom and gloom. We see maybe the first hour or two of gameplay, of course this going to be slower. I just feel it's better to hold judgement till beta arrives and we are able to see actual end game. At least that is my plan.
The one shot steel complained about is clearly telegraphed, he jumps and slams and then turns around for another slam. Jonathan literally said that he wanted people to die at least 2 or 3 times on their first boss encounters. The game is for sure going to be different for better or worse but that didnt look too bad imo.
That's an issue. You can dodge everything for sure, but you are in a constant danger. A lot of people don't like stressfull gameplay, where every missstep means "start fight from scratch"
It does not mean game is bad, but it's easy for understand people being disappointed
This will be the first ARPG what I genuinely start on HC because it rewards actual skill and I'm very good at souls
Poe 1 players are weak
So incredibly weak.
As he said, I'll probably play through the campaign once, maybe even reach 90+ if it's fun enough but to me, so far, it looks like d4 at launch but with some better and worse ideas (why do we still have to id items ?)
I'm curious to see if they are going from scratch or if they are going to keep a few of the existing league mechanics and if they start from 0, it's probably gonna take a year or two before the game feels good to play on a daily basis
They said they overtuned the demo because it was going to be played by experienced players.
Where did they say that? They said there were people there who have never played the game before lol
but people like Darth are beginners
Also it makes no sense to increase monsters numbers for a demo, if anything you'd want to lower them so people can get further and try different builds/classes
Literaly first act afcorse its slow and hard
thats so dumb... why would the begininng be harder? name a game where the first boss is the hardest?
Why are more games getting in-animation tracking for attacks, it feels awful and feels like fake difficulty scaling. once an animation for an attack starts for an enemy they shouldn't be spinning around inside the animation to target you.
Can't wait to watch this bozo die over and over for these bosses when it come out
I hink making hit so hard is a huge, huge mistake. The first time spending 80 hours dyingvthrough the campaign will be a experience, but good luck getting the numbers in doing rhat every 3 months this makes alts a no go as well.
I was confident this game would bury the competition, but it wont. The skilled players will ofc love it but casuals like me is obviously not what they want to include
Imagine ppl with slightly worse reaction times such as ppl with nearsight, color blindness
bruh its not even in alpha yet
"skilled".. in Poe 1 skill is divided in so many categories. You mean the high APM type of skill right? That type of skill has never been big in arpg's. Normally people who play games to be "skilled" in that sense play competitive games like Counter strike, League of Legends, Overwatch, Pubg etc.
Dead wrong. People will flock to poe2 exactly for the challenge and much improved combat, low skill players will watch the "this build makes poe2 easy" guides on youtube and also play. This game is gonna be massive!
Yappers
Yappers
I want the game to be great and I realize this is early game without endgame gear but it looks soooooo slooooow. Three or four mobs taking 20 seconds to chip down feels awful to me personally. Everyone wont agree and I realize this but what makes POE fun for me is building up to speedy clearing. Having level 8 clear speed later in the game will totally kill the fun for me.
Definitely too early to be all doom and gloom but i cant lie with everything they have showed so far im worried its just not going to have the same feel poe 1 does. it looks like d4 with a poe skin
Like a very hardcore version of d4 I'd say
I was hoping (as most probably many people) that PoE2 would be like PoE but simpler because over all these years PoE grew to such a monster with hundreds of mechanics that are hard to comprehend for casual players. Many people hoped that the PoE would be like a reset of the PoE, something between too easy D4 and too complicated PoE1.
But looks like this won't be a game for casual players the same way as PoE1 isn't. Not many people have the time to spend 40 minutes going through one piece of map killing 4 white mobs for 5 minutes and then another 40 minutes learning map boss mechanics daying a lot of time to finally kill the boss after another 15 minutes of battle, not to mention some bigger bosses. Also going constantly back in town opening portals to refill potions is killing the immersion.
Personally, I hoped for something like LastEpoch but much bigger and better done by professionals (I like LE but you can feel this game is made by just a couple of people) with better content and better visuals.
But hey, nobody said that this game must be for everybody, and looks like is more for DarkSouls players rather than casual ARPG or H&S players so be it - it's their game and their choice.
Non shill take, we were told for years poe2 was a direct upgrade to the traditional ARPG that we loved and played for years, and would fix all of the issues and grievances we had with the game.
Souls games are also good because they balance difficulty with fairness, you can only blame yourself when you die. GGG has to keep the difficulty feeling fair while dealing with random combos of monster modifiers, types, map mods, and other randomness that is inherent to ARPGs but not souls games. They couldn't even get the balance right on the 1 of the 3 classes they flew journalists out to showcase bro.
It's 100% this. I don't even want to play a two-button build, let alone a four button, double combo, weapons swap build
It's a showcase.... balance doesn't matter. It's basically and even just barely the first act of the game. It is literally just to showcase a bit of the early gameplay. There is even a reason they didn't want the skill tree to be shown or talked about, since that is going to be changing. Things are still going to be changing.
Difficulty aside, once the beta starts, we will be able to have a much broader overview of the game as whole, and endgame as well.
I am comparing this to act 1 of poe. If I had never played poe 1 and all I saw of it was a bit into act 1 gameplay. As much as I do love poe, I would probably think it was a really shit game lol.
I think its excellent that its not a poe1 copy. poe1 will survive and poe2 will attract a different crowd.
Yeah PoE2 will attract a different crowd just like Ruthless in PoE1 does, 40 people.
@@Hooga89 weakling
The way I look at this is if GGG thought everyone would like POE2 more than POE1 - they would have kept it one game. I do think you will have to play the game to know. The game looks fun for different reasons than POE1.
But Steel Mages take about "I can't imagine what end game looks like" is kind of pointless. Imagine playing POE 1 Act 1 & knowing nothing at all about the game. Can you imagine end game getting to where it does? There is just no way to as you at best have a 3 link and have 10% movement on your boots. It's just a silly thing to say.
Ziz could have very easily dodged any one shots he took.
They do believe poe2 will be better than poe1, but they also recognize the people who would prefer poe1. Why alienate that audience?
@@dalytennis I believe poe2 will be better as well. I just get tired of the people who act like because they don't like the way poe2 looks - it's going to be a bad game.

Poe 2 is a sequel to Poe if you don't like Poe then play something else, it's not your game etc. Poe 2 should be more like Poe.
PoE 2 is looking Omega Bedge currently, at least in my opinion. It looks like a game I might play a little bit during PoE 1 downtime like near the end of a league while I am waiting for the next PoE 1 league. It is definitely not looking like a game I could play a lot of.

Wrong. This is exactly what they said they were making from the start. A slower more deliberate ARPG that actually rewards mechanical skill and you can see what is going on. If you just don't prefer it to PoE1, that's fine, but say "I will probably not like it over PoE1" don't claim falsehoods and cast random shade that doesn't exist.
@@DoNotFearTheReapa you're the one that is wrong about this. They did indeed say it would not be two separate games. Two different campaigns but same end game. Said melee for Poe would be fixed with the release of poe2.

The engine and polish look like they're next level but the game imho looks like it's flawed at its core. It is PoE with soul mechanics but the same gameplay loop at the same time. They imho got lost in their hubris and will likely end up with a game that is unplayable. Imho Steelmage is 100% right and I was feeling this way since like the 1year+ ago act 2 reveal with all the ammo swaps crap. They moved from forced synergies core gameplay to a mashup of no fail gameplay and forced synergies. Keeping in mind that there will also be character and gear building and it will likely feel crap/unfair/cheesy at the end. We'll still zoom zoom in and casual players will have to deal with all those forced synergies clunky damage cycles that do not make any sense for arpgs and leave after 2 acts, even more mentally exhausted that they were with PoE1. And at this point, I don't understand why PoE2 even, it is a game as service, it could just have been a major version of PoE. Yeah, I'm very sceptical, really looks like it's garbage from company direction to end result.
It's crazy to me how people can come to absolute conclusions about a game they have never played and have seen only alpha footage of. Truly incredible

I think they should get movement skills back and movement flask too
Skills yes, Flask no. But you should be able to get more or less the same amount of movespeed from the tree\gear\etc
they should rename it to path of souls
I can’t be the only one who think poe2 look more like d4 than poe.
The entire screen isnt brown so it isn't like D4
That was my thought on the first reveal
D4 with a poe mtx
im realy sceptical about the fact that we have to press so many buttons to do dmg and interact with ailment or cc just give me poe style and let me press 1 button to face roll XD
theres a game already for that its called poe1
@@Grisu. oh shit is that game out yet fck sake....
There is not a SINGLE build in POE that uses 1 skill. Years ago there were SOME rare cases where that was true. Not the last 3+ years though.
@@Grisu. Which build? Please tell me which build uses 1 ability. (there are none).
@@Habib_Osmani think u slept for few years tho is oke glad you woke up now
Poe1 elitists are so annoying. Poe2 looks great. If you want to zoom around the map at 300% movement speed and blast everything with two button clicks, stick to poe1. I'm glad that cancerous gameplay is toned way the fuck down for poe2.
poe2 is already out just play ruthless
"This game looks super difficult." Steel, he ran in a circle around every boss spamming 2 abilities, and dodged maybe a few mechanics in that time. Be for real
"So this is a good build?" Steel, you of all people should know it is most definitely not a good build. He picked a skill he thought was cool, when has that ever been a good idea in poe? It's going to take time to figure out the meta ways to level a character, JUST LIKE poe1 when it came out. Jesus christ
Never realized that poe players were such babies "oh nooes I have to actually pay attention?!?" Your weakness is disgusting!

@@Crabunderscore There were many more negative comments I thought indeed. Refreshing. But I think GGG has been clear in their vision for POE 2: slow and arduous, Dark Souls-like. Which I don't enjoy at all. So.. for me there is no POE 2. I lose hope of change happening.
Hopefully WASD is optional, the movement looks janky, rather play D4
Jep. Not sure why everyone is talking about WASD as some insane innovation.. it makes it way more complicated to use abillities and flasks/other hotkeys.
You can see Ziz choose when he first loads into the zone if you want cursor or wasd movements
I'm very hyped about wasd because I've played mmos for almost 20 years now and clicking is less reliable to me, especially when you have to dodge
@@mrdorak This is I think true for every human. Movement is definitely quicker, more accurate etc. with WASD buttons. Question is however if that is worth having much less access to all hotkeys. How are you going to press 5 flask buttons and 5 ability buttons while also moving with WASD? I'm telling you: it feels bad. Test out the tiny but great ARPG called Slormancer if you want to try it out.

Stop comparing it to POE1, it is a different game, if you like POE1 more then play that.
It's taking away dev time from a beloved game and GGG has been hard pushing PoE2 rather than fixing PoE1. So why the hell would it not be compared to its obviously superior predecessor? PoE 2 can only ever exist because of the success of PoE 1 and clearly is riding off that success, otherwise why even make it a supposed sequel? Just make an entirely new IP if you want to really distance from the original game. It's called PoE 2 and that is enough reason for any comparison between the two games.
@@mblade01what is fixing Poe 1 ? and superior predecessor ?
Poe 1 is a glorified casino and that's okay, I love it but...
They have somes class/skill/passives tree/endgame idea in common and they just are redesigning some outdated mechanics from Poe 1. It's like saying Helldivers 2 has nothing in common with helldivers 1.
The game deviate from their vision and everytimes they nerf something people are crying.

I know what I think that the hype for this game is now in the toilet now. We have to wait probably six months just for the clothes beta so the majority people won’t be able to touch it for another maybe nine months. If we’re lucky roughly June next year it might come out and that’s assuming in the meantime they won’t add a bunch of other stuff that they’ll have to rework and want to polish again which seemingly is all they’ve been doing for the last four years

I love what Ben said about POE2, " POE2 feels like successor to Ruthless, not POE" perfectly encapsulates all worries I had since it been announced
Atleast they split the game now, before i had that feeling that if poe 2 was ruthless again it was gonna drag down poe1 but as of right now i think both game can coexist
@@Assosmusi at some point they will be forced to drop support on Poe to move staff to poe2 and that will be downfall point and I really don't want it to happen but they've shown how insanely stubborn with their vision for the game they are so my expectations for poe2 are falling down with each new content
