This autumn was spent in the northern midwest, where the fall colors are vibrant, the evening fires are extra cozy, and paddling into the wilderness with Akela is absolutely incredible.

Linnea's videos are a joy to watch and I have much respect for her. She is brave and strong and very mature for her age. I personally don't idolize anyone. But that knowledge came later in life. I am sure at 17 I had some " idols" and didn't realize that that's what they were.
I wish I would have had this when I was 17! My life may have looked quite different if I knew this was possible in life.

I have been following you and Akela for about a year and a half. This episode was one of the best! I'd love to be out there in the wilderness but I am so glad you go out there and bring it all to us in your filming. I love yours and Akela's relationship.
My favorite part of hanging out in the Northwoods of Wisconsin during the summer months is listening to the loons.

Beautiful shot of the eagles and loons! You seem like a very independent, strong, capable young woman. Not afraid to try or fail. Spent my 20s and 30s chasing independence, adventures, and freedom before settling into a somewhat "normal" existence. Bicycling across several state lines (sleeping wherever I could set up a tent), thru hiking the AT and long trail and northville placid trail, thru paddling the northern forest canoe trail, and living homeless (by choice) drifting around the Adirondack Mountains for 6 months with only what I could carry on my back, returning to the nearest supply shop every few weeks. Now in my mid 40s, starting to feel like a bird in a cage again. Not been happy in this hustle bustle and routine of every day life. You and chris are fueling the fire in me to return to the simple life, so thank you for that. Dont let others lead you off couse, you guys are in the right lane. Keep adventuring, never stop. 🌲🦋🦆🦅🍁🐟

The part where you call your family and say how you miss your dad really hit home here. It’s so hard to experience big/adult things and not having your dad to help or to see what you’re achieving. I’m sure he’s so proud of you.
I want you to know that my significant other died last year from cancer. He grew up in MN and his wish was that I could enjoy the boundary waters with him while he was still feeling good. Unfortunately we weren't able to make that journey before he passed so I just want you to know how special this video was to me...Bobby was sitting by me tonight in spirit as we watched this segment together. Thank you dear friends. Now I know why he loved these waters. It was Memorable. I hope you know what a joy it is for us to watch you on your adventures...and I love Chris and both dogs, (especially Akela) so much too OXO

I just did a 3 day cycling trip over the weekend, it rained, headwind for 50kms. Loved every minute. Thought of all my inspirational UA-camrs, arriving soaked but happy. The return was a cool spring morning with the breeze behind me. About 120kms, over 3 days, my 65th birthday gift to me😊

We have bald eagles, ospreys, hawks, turkeys, herons, abundant deer & a little red fox family. We love being outside & on the water. You are me when I was younger!💖

The autumn colors were beautiful, the sound of the rain, the two bald eagles, & you were granted your wish--the beautiful loons that swam & danced for you.
I love loons. Several years ago, I was fortunate enough to be part of a soulful camping trip via canoes & kayaks with nine other women over a period of seven days. We established a base camp, then took canoe and kayak trips to other areas of the lake area we were at daily. This was near the Canadian border in Maine.
The loons called goodnight to us each evening and good morning to us each dawn. It was so lovely to hear them, but one day we actually quietly watched in awe as a mother loon led her babies out for an early morning swim & feeding time.
It was downright magical; they passed by as we were doing our early morning yoga on the beach where we'd set up base camp. I'll never forget that adventure. Or the loons. They were a symbol of everything magical about that trip, much like all your videos are also incredibly magical.
You always thank us for watching (and treat us to funny outtakes), but I want to thank *you* for your channel, which always brings me so much joy.
