Hello. I'm sorry but with the release of SotO the Qdps scrapper is seriously underperforming COMPARED to other options so I didn't really spend much time on it to make it "optimized". Qdps scrapper is still viable and to make it work: gear : full "berserker" weapon : hammer or mace/shield rune : scholar relic : firework
Scrapper seems so amazing, but holy crap was that complex. Even as someone thats played the game a lot (but not with Engi kits) - it feels like you really have to understand what everything does- to be super efficient. Great video!
The current design of Quickness scrapper is a nice idea on paper but very clunky IG. that's why we don't see a lot of them since the rework. A good chunk of the community didn't like this change at all and I'm confident it will be changed in some mesure again on tuesday patch. As for "how" to play it you have 2 ways: 1) you can smash everything all the time and it will work (in a 10 players setting). Not the best output but the job is done nonetheless. 2) as you say you can understand your spells. As a rule I would always recommend learning/understanding your spells as it allows you to adapt to the situation more easely. On a personnal note I think Scrapper hammer is one of the best design for a weapon in GW2. I love to use it as it feels impactful, never out of place and it totally justify playing scrapper just for it.
@@itsmexadineWell the change did not happen sadly. I have to say, I strongly agree that this feels even more like a hustle then before. For me I still almost only play Scrapper but the nades are gone and the mine is there instead. Im on 4s of quickness doinga finnisher, runs great. Still the argument of "less spaming" ... Anet what a story bro 😂 Thx for getting the attention out there! 😊
Just some advice from a try hard hypernerd. Please please please take Aim-Assisted Rocket instead of Explosive Temper, it does more damage and generates almost 20% quickness on its own.
This is perfect timing, I just got my first elite spec and it’s a scrapper. Been tinkering with skills to find that sweet spot of fields and finishers, thanks!
Like i said in the pinned comment the current version of Scrapper is a bit clunky and it will likely be modified again with july 18 patch. So if you find it a bit weird/lacking just wait a bit for next patch. And with SotO coming 22 august it will likely get changed again. Anyway, Scrapper is a fun class to play and hammer is a very well designed weapon so enjoy.
Since we will be in a cycle of balance patches for a couple of months I went for a working build as close as possible from the previous one. That way you won't have to buy/craft new gear. The down side of this approach is that this build is working well enough to have a spot in raid/fractal/strike yet it isn't optimized. I'm confident you can swap around 1 or 2 pieces of Diviner into berserker and make it better at the cost of a more elaborate timing. I think this will be buffed/changed in the 18/07/23 patch as the current way to provide quickness is a bit clunky and feels very spam-oriented. At the moment if you play alone you might find yourself lacking in fields to start your combo. If this is the case use "elite mortar kit" it will provide several extra fields. If you're in a squad you will likely be overcaping Quickness.
even since the patch, I also change my utilities into something similar, arena net really mess up the purpose of having gyros as a scrapper, we are force to use mortar kit to make up the lose of quickness boons by combo with skill 3.
Sure. It was a black lion chest drop "Jade Tech Jetpack Backpack". It's no longer available in the chests but you can still exchange it for 45 black lion statuettes. here the wiki : wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Jade_Tech_Jetpack_Backpack_and_Glider_Combo ps: you can use dye on it
Man this is so helpful to understand something as I new player, but I see everyone say that qscrapper is not a thing anymore, can I get any update on build?
At the moment Qscrap underperform pretty hard compared to other Qdps builds available. And the rotation doesn't "feel" good. It's not bad per se but you better run anything else. There'll be a balance patch on nov18. This might "save" the build. This build is still viable with minor tweeks: explo 3-1-3 / firearm 3-3-2 / scrap 1-3-2 gear full berserker (can put on some "diviner" if you want more room in your rotation) rune scholar relic firework sigil force & impact If you like it play it no matter what most pugs won't say anything. Have fun
@@itsmexadine Hey curious, is the build any better now? I'm pretty new to the game, and wanna play a support, quickness scrapper is very appealing to me, is it hard to use or still underperforming? thanks
@@Silvers_7 it is better than it was. It still feels clunky if you're alone but it works just fine in a party (mostly because your party will provide plenty of fields for you to combo). It's not the most efficient Qdps but still does the job and if you enjoy it just go for it. Several changes to make it better: GEAR: everything in "berserker" (can put in several pieces in "diviner" if you're not confortable with your Quickness output) RELIC: firework TRAIT: "Explosive" go for 3-1-3 instead of 3-2-3 (I just realised I put the firearm label in front of the explosive line and vise versa...) If you like scrapper and hammer just go for it. Most party don't care what class provides Quickness as long as it is provided.
Scrapper is indeed a bit underwhelming at the moment. But overall most of the community isn't happy with the rework so I do hope Anet will do something about it. And the fact that Qherald is so OP doesn't help. I personnally mostly play Qharb since scrapper rework.
@@itsmexadine Ah I have, there are some people that are unreasonably upset towards people that use their keyboard to turn, backpedal, and mouse clicking. xD But I'm glad you haven't had that experience.
