The cloudy day and flatter light is definitely adding to the image quality. No harsh sunlight, less dynamic range needed, highlight roll off minimized greatly, etc. I also think that the faster shutter speed isn’t an issue because you stay in the same part of the frame for most shots and don’t move quickly. I think it’s creating a unique look when combined with the flat lighting and you look sharp without being “sharpened”.

KevinPuumala this channel is mainly for finding the perfect camera for vlogging. He usually cares very little about photography. Megapixels are not really important for videos where you are walking and talking. For vlogging, I would say this is the best footage. Mainly because of the stabilization and autofocus. Hey Camera Conspiracies the em5 Mark iii has pretty much the same video specs and sensor as the em 1. It’s 200 grams lighter, might want to consider retesting that as the perfect camera.
@@cameraconspiracies True. I was surprised how well Panasonic 12mm worked on m1miii in your test. Try again 17mm 1.2. I know, this is not a vlog lens, but it's worth a try.
Camera Conspiracies quality is debatable but you are wrong about the autofocus. I’ve had it for 4 months and the autofocus its impeccable, hasn’t failed me once. Is your SD Card formatted in exFat? Just asking cause I think other file formats break up files... but can't recall if it was 2gb or 4gb files. Also I think maybe only certain SD Card sizes can do exFat. Don't quote me on any of that, just my experience with a Canon camera. I needed to use a 64GB card to use exFat and have the camera not break up the files, if I recall. If I used a smaller card, formatted in PC as exFat, then formatted in camera it would change it to NTFS or Fat32.

That focus demonstration between Canon and Panasonic! 😂😂😂 As a Samsung NX500, Panasonic GH5 and G9 owner, I have to say this is one of your best looking videos. Panny really needs this type of focusing and stabilization.
I've watched a fairly large number of videos on cameras and camera gear over the past several years and this one ranks very high in the insane category. But good vid anyway.
I must have been one of the three people that bought the G95 - I didn't think it was possible for AF to be so bad. Looking forward to playing with it, although I'll be changing a lot less of the settings than you do.

You, Gerald and DPReview are great cultural ambassadors for Canada.
Some footage looks really good, and some is a bit off. But still one of the best so far (although I haven't seen all your episodes of this epic search for perfect camera).
Other than a wee bit too much Toneh for my taste, I really liked how the video came out. Even the slo-mo street crossing looked good. If you're not going to do 60p you might as well do 24p. It's not that much different than 30p and the file size is smaller. So while the camera may lack the usability, once you have it set right it does a pretty nice job. The digital stabilization was better than solo IBIS but that is a lot of crop! I bet Olympus could probably tweak a decent stab with half that crop since the IBIS is ok by itself.
I have no idea about what you are talking about but f**k me is it entertaining! Wife to me while she watches boring TV: “What are you laughing at?”... Can I have some more please?
I liked it! Great video. +1 and +1 was amazing. Very natural looking. You need to speak to Robin about the finer details of the mystic art. What he achieves with this little camera defies the laws of physics. Best camera for your vlogs yet.
The autofocus with 12 1.4 +1, +1 was the fastest I've ever seen, but -1, +1 is smoother. I was surprised that the Olympus is so fast even with a Panasonic lens. The colors are great, it's not a surprise. About bitrate. I have m1mii and m1x. I shooted the interview and also received about 160 Mbps. When shooting the landscape, I received an average of 237 Mbps, temporarily even 265 Mbps. For me, the image quality was perfect. The colors look great on a calibrated TV and monitor, not so good on a smartphone. You should remember this when you comment rewiev after viewing it on your Samsung or iPhone.
@@Makta972 I just checked it again. I shot my yard with one tree and beautiful clouds behind it, then my house. I received an average of 180 -220 mbps. I did a panning test too. While panning, the bitrate increased to 240mbps at some points, but fell quickly below 190mbps-average 220 mbps. I used the oly 40-150 pro at 40 mm and f5.6 and laowa 7.5 on f5.6. Later I did a vlog test with laowa 7.5mm on f2 outside and at home. I received over 170mbps outside(but shutter speed was too high-3x) , at home 120 (totaly overexposed backgroud and underexposed face) and over 160 mbps with the correct exposure. I used the 700s transcend card. When I used the card in slot 2 (uhs i) camera stopped recording 2 times. I know that 170-220mbps is possible when filming the landscape. Vloging..130-170 mbps. I checked the bitrate with vlc media, gspot 2.7 and even media player classic. I think the picture looks great. What profile you use also matters. flat, om-log or vivid... Each of them has som impact. When I used om-log bitrate was about 20 or 30 mbps lower compared to i enhance) Iso also matters. I will do more tests. I compared footage from Oly m1mii and laowa 7.5 mm with footage from Sony a7 iii with laowa 15mm f2. I think oly looks better. Colors are great ,DR is great too.

You should slow mo run across the street with random ppl who recognise you. You totally have your own meme going there man - pounce on it :)
The footage actually looks pretty good
Other than a wee bit too much Toneh for my taste, I really liked how the video came out.
That AF is on-point! Cool video and bonus on getting recognized :)
I enjoyed even monent of this video
Kasey Do you know if the Newest OM-1 has taken care of the various video quirks and button issues that you point out with the EM 1 mark III? Thanks!!
Tfw you’ll never have a wholesome chance meeting with Kasey :(
Just gotta move to Canada 😅
Just the right amount of Toneh , very tastefull . I hope Mr Northrup is taking notes .
Thanks Kasey! Very good video, I'll stay with Panasonic eagerly waiting for the magic mystery bird GH6.
Hot coffee through the nose at 3:14. Can't get enough.
Hi, I love the c4k too. How did you get such high bitrate ? Did you do something special. Max is 150mbps for me..
Wow... that looked really good.
Fuji LUT Engaged! Ahhhh -- the subtle *green* highlights on your face -- just like Fuji *FILM* stocks (which I shoot occasionally!) -- haha! Perfection!
OMG the panasonic focus demo 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This looks satisfactory.
OM-LOG sounds hilarious. I hope at least one Olympus employee named their kid OM-LOG
