An incisive presentation, once again. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. My current life's work is to get in touch with my own needs and desires and to navigate getting those needs and desires met and nourished. I got out of two long relationships that ended up pretty toxic because of this growth I had yet to do, because of the programming I grew up with about taking care of other people first. I have fallen into the moments of not wanting to work on myself because of thinking I'm either everything or I'm nothing. Or that if I give up on a fight and compromise, then I have to give all of myself and my needs away. Well, this ends up in breaking and cracking and spewing things that end up being resentful and manipulative. So the question, "what is uncomfortable about standing in my own power? Can I sit with that discomfort? How else can I work on that?" will be my introspection during this time as I work on my art and music practice. Cancer is so mothering and about family. I cringe every time I’m told or hear this. I’ve got sun moon jupiter and mars in cancer 4th and 5th and nothing can be further from the truth. Individual to the core, a lone wolf who would have chosen not to parent but when confronted by that episode has done so with little joy. And the notion of family to me is a concept of a cage. Maybe that’s my moon mars 4th conjunction or could it be my 5th sun jupiter ? But please gawds don’t tell me I’m all about family.
Yep!! I agree with you completely- I have Sun, Moon and Mercury in Cancer and I've developed a visceral reaction to the words "soft," "mothering," "homemaker," and "domestic." My face contorts and my eyes roll to the back of my head lol. I'm theorising that it has something to do with the Moon phase, which is something Acyuta has talked about in the past. Sun and Moon in the same sign means you're either a Balsamic/Dark Moon person (like me) or a New Moon person. Both tend to be more individualistic, whether that be a solitary contemplative (Balsamic) or an independent, fresh and eager (New Moon) type person. In both cases the light of the Moon is very limited, reducing the natural relational, smothering tendencies of the Moon. That's the best explanation I've found for why I don't relate those aspects of Cancer. From your description it sounds like you're a Balsamic Moon, because your Moon is behind the Sun (Moon in 4th, Sun in 5th).

Thank you, very interesting analysis - I learn a lot, especially your points on the terminology in Astrology. As a German speaking ,Astrologer' on a very beginner level, reading a lot, I rarely find widening descriptions who are seemingly not ,copied' from one book to another (very often based on the psychological perspective of the 80ies, 90ies) or used to meaningless or very unspecific expressions like this death-rebirth phrase you mentioned or what I feel is not in line with the times we live in. The deeper I get into astrology the more it gets complex and fascinating and it is a big challenge for me to find accurate and contemporary descriptions.

Actually, what you've said about both words and experience is a kind of philosophy you are articulating, which means you too have a stake in thinking and relating your thoughts...surely that's not just some "arrogant privilege" but is also a sign of your soulfulness at work! We can't help but philosophize...sometimes more immediate physical needs dominate our minds, but philosophy is either an active and conscious part of how we're living or its an unconscious part of how we're living. (My Saturn is at zero degrees Aquarius) and my mom is sick going through a hard time, I haven’t seen her in over a month because of social distancing. . almost two weeks ago I had a psychic medium reading, my grandparents came through and warned me about my moms heart. I’m scared shitless. I’m going through my Saturn return in my 4th house. (My Saturn is at zero degrees Aquarius) and my mom is sick going through a hard time, I haven’t seen her in over a month because of social distancing. . almost two weeks ago I had a psychic medium reading, my grandparents came through and warned me about my moms heart. She’s not taking me seriously. And ever since his April astrology video for Libra’s (I’m a sun and rising with a Scorpio moon) basically warning about this aspect in our 4th house my anxiety is through the roof. Meanwhile looking at my mothers chart trying to figure things out (like I really can) This sucks. How is everyone else doing?

I’m not the only one who gets tweaked by phrases and words! I cannot stand the word “groceries”. First because people pronounce it with an “sh”, as in “grosheries” (makes me feel squirmy) and second, it’s a stupid word and sounds gross. Food is too yummy for a word like that (Taurus sun and moon and Libra rising)
I do have Mercury conjunct my sun and moon so not sure if that plays in.

Born with it means living with it, transit means visiting it!
How does this manifest if a person is having Pluto squaring their natal sun in transit?
All the same themes apply, just over a much longer period of time!
