It's so sweet how you appreciate things. Not everyone does.
Great story from someone who hasn't forgotten where they came from and that hard work pays off! Hope you've had a wonderful weekend.
I remember my first Expensive bag was a Nine West bag I bought from Macy’s for about $70.00. I was about 17 years old. It was light beige (which was very on trend in the late 90’s) and I felt fancy carrying that bag and wore it to my first out of high school job interview in San Francisco. I walking around downtown and seeing all the high end stores for the first time and it felt like being inside fashion magazines.
Sophie, you are such a special person. You’re so real and humble. Thanks for being you. I love just listening to you.
90s Chanel, oh the heady days, I can absolutely tell you loved that era too, just from the way you style items sometimes. Even the catwalk shows, nothing today matches the energy of them.
Sophie, you are one of the most genuine, real people that I've ever seen on the internet. 💗
Thank you for such a sweet and kind comment Kat, I really appreciate the feedback and also you watching 🥰🙏😊xx
Kudos to your dad who taught you a valuable lesson instead of just handing over that money. I will be doing the same for my girls.
This was fun to hear about “bag history” and work! I still like all the older bags you showed. (OMG David was always such a sweetie.)
Hi Sophie! My first designer bag was Gucci, I was young, (it was a million years ago now) but working. I literally wore holes in it! Even though my friend and I were so young we were welcomed by the SAs in the store in Bond Street, London. Hugs xx
This reminds me of a book called 'love, loss, and what i wore.' very sweet video. Stillness in the noise.
I think you should pull out the dior bag more often, it's stunning! I understand why you wouldn't want to use it but maybe you could pull it out for photos and cut aways 😍
Ughh that just happened to me lol! I sold my Tiffany double link pendant and it would have been the perfect finishing touch to my outfit today. Never selling anything again 😂
I love stories about "first" things. Thank you for sharing that info with us! ❤
I loved that Boston bag, still do. Never got one because it was out of my price range back then.
IMO the Hilfiger bag is really cute.
You are the sweetest person, so honest & humble. Just a joy to watch you.
That Dior bag is gorgeous and one I haven't seen before. I'd love to get something similar, in need of expanding my handbag collection but cant afford designer bags. It's so thoughtful that your husband bought you that bag and the vintage Chanel bag. My boyfriend likes buying me hairpins and vintage skirts for holidays. (Yes I do send him the etsy link).
💖🤴👸💖Sophie l love these story times .l think for Davie to buy you your Dior bag and for him is so excited is so lovely. If l was you l wouldnt sell anything because you and David have great tastes and we all know fashion comes back around .Thank you for shareing your storys for your younger subscribers who think its impossible to buy a luxury item. You are teaching them it is possible but you have to have a good work ethic 💖😊💖
So that's why David is a keeper 🥰 ❤
such an interesting video! my first bag was the LV speedy and i also regret selling that. i remember getting my first decent pay check and going to buy it - i was so excited. love how humble you are xx
i just love your enthusiasm and the wonderful way you recount a tale. hearing you describe how david surprised you with a bag, made me verklempt. i hope your life continues to be blessed.
That TH bag still looks great!
Nice story, Sophie. Very inspirational. Indeed, David is your lucky charm. Luck + your hardwork and gratitude = where you are now --》a successful woman who inspires others with her humility and sense of gratitude 🥰
Hello Sophie. You are such a sweetheart. What a sweet person. There are people who wouldn't even think about how blessed they are. Jane in New Zealand 🇬🇧🇳🇿
i remember seeing that Dior bag. I would still wear it now once the big bags get popular again.
Hey Sophie, this was such a great watch. I love the message you’re sending out about gratitude and hard work! No other luxury UA-camrs ever touch on this - or are as transparent as you on how you afford what you have. Thank you for being so genuine ❤️
Thank you for sharing and mentioning about saving up for bags. I remember the first designer bag I got was a Gucci bag for Christmas. It still has a special place in my heart, but I have a special love for those bags I had to save up for.
Love how you continue to appreciate your life.
I remember wanting this bag so much.
I just saw a lady with the Chanel bucket bag. It’s so amazing. No wonder everyone wanted it. It’s quite tiny tho.
Thanks for sharing! So interesting & funny! I like your way very much, externally and internally, your wonderful voice and language. You radiate such a calm and inner contentment that is simply contagious. All the best and see you next video... 😇😍😎
Yes please more videos on how to get promotions, how to interview up the ladder rather than across, etc.
Love my Sophie Sundays, can’t wait to watch this 🍷 🥡
Love your videos where you talk about your career and handbag “journey”. Never forgetting where you’re coming from and being able to appreciate the things you have now and worked hard for is super valuable. xx
I love your Dior 00's bag.
Your humbleness and genuineness have really impressed me! Thank you for being so honest. You are probably one of the best UA-cam-ers out there! ❤️
the shirt you are wearing is gorgeous!!!!!! xx love I Looooove this DIOR bag!!!!!
Omg I’m the same way my parents made me work for all money including keeping my grades up, I worked for my neighbors catering company and I think that’s helped me with my work ethic

Sophie, you said a while ago that you wanted to make a video with your mother about the paranormal happenings in your parents' house. That would be so great.🙋♀️🙏👍🏽❤🌺
God I love storytime with you 😊🤗🤗
I have never sold anything for the reason you mentioned, sellers remorse! And also I find the selling process intimidating! Fabulous stories. Thank you for the video!
Loved this video!!! Loved that David bought you a gorgeous Dior : ) Enjoyed hearing these stories : )
I love this story so much! So sweet!
Love your stories! ❤
lovely video ❤❤❤❤❤
❤. Wonderful thanks for sharing. there is a bag or two (or more) that I should have kept - but in the end, I wasn't using them so it made sense despite being a bit attached. So true about being thankful for everything every day. Have a great evening.
I love to hear your gratitude very moving. Thank you Sophie. You made me smile and got me thinking.
Thank you for the inspiring content
Hi Sophie! I love your top. ❤
Keep 'em coming Sophie! xxx
That was a good story.enjoyed the vlog.❤. Could you do a vlog on wats new in bista village please. Thank you 🥂🥂🥂🍾🍾🍾💐💐
Hi Sophie, love the video ❤😊
Your hair looks really nice today, Sophie!
Thank you for sharing! Not gonna laugh at your Tommy Hilfiger bag. My 'first' designer bag was one of my mom's bags (a gucci tote the size of a house - this was the early 2000s and everyone was allergic to backpacks). I replaced it with a Juicy Couture (again, early 2000s) bag and walked around school with it genuinely thinking I was the shit. Now when I think back, I cringe and I cringe.
I completely agree with you when it comes to being thankful. I love your Bvlgari top handle and wallet so much 🥺 those are 4k over here in the US and that's just leather. I have two Bvlgari serpenti bags that i love and i bought them before the prices went up. One in 2020 and the other in 2022. One of mine has gone up 400$ just in the couple of years.
I also love your chanel bags, esp that iridescent chanel boy (do you still have that?) Even though i don't like the boy that much-- that version though is stunning. Chanel is just 2 much for me now... i have 1 19 bag but that's it.
dior replaced your bag?! for free?! and it was used to death? wow, that's amazing service right there...honestly, it's a cute bag and i would use it everyday...i love the metal coin that has like a face on it
Hello my friend! Yes, you know they were/are brilliant when it comes to aftercare. They’re one brand that will bend over backwards to help 😊xx
@@SophieShohetOfficial yeah, they just opened a dior store near me so i can't wait to buy my first dior bag from them there
The gaucho bag is beautiful! I’d buy it if u are ever selling!
I have that Chanel tote bag
You should so wear the gaucho bag.
P.S.: This blouse looks AMMMAZING on you ... 👌❤😇
i wish i could get a bonus but i work in retail right now...part time too...full time would be too much work and i value my work life balance
Seems you married the right guy❤
Job related video's please😉🌷
