I’ve been the biggest fan of Angelina since she won norways got talent. But it’s so interesting to watch people’s reactions to her for the first time. We all can go listen to a 1000 cookie cutter versions of the MJ song but Angelina says no, I can re-created this great song into something entirely new....proceeds to create a Jazzy masterpiece. Pretty sure there are few if not any that would have come up with this...except this young lady. She is Brilliant. And this is a real set, there is another video of Angelina walking around on this set. Great reaction and comments. Stay well. Billy Jean’s chord progressions are jazz rooted for sure, just took AJ’s brilliance to bring it out.

Sir, they discovered this studio in downtown LA, where every room is another color theme. Angelina was at that time not allowed to walk barefoot, as she had heart on of her feet and could not risk blood poisoning. She told a bit about this in her Christmas Special. Elmar from Germany.

I bought Thriller the year it came out, yes I'm old ! I danced, hummed and sang along with this epic song of Micheal. With Angelina's slowed and stripped down version, I only really heard the story and the lyrics.
Michael's version make me want to dance, her version makes me want to sway along and bob my head and watch the sunset.
Yes she has an amazing ability to turn songs upside down and inside out and you still recognize it. She must have played with Lego as a young kid to break songs down to its smallest bits.

Angelina's version. Again, it's like Billie Holiday continues to live on in this girl.
AJ was introduced to the Jacksons by Michael´s protege Omer Bahti, a very good friend of AJ and family. It seems "Mama Jackson" is a fan of AJ.
Great comments. She made history here..again! Actually, compared to the MJ original, Angelina's cover has no distractions and many fewer camera views. Think on it, monochromatic sets, a single camera angle, she is not moving, no dancing, no moon-walking, certainly no glove. She is saying in her sweet way here "Nothing really to see, just listen to the story". Her unstated message may well be I can take on the King of Pop with voice alone, give the audience a new thing, and cause them to hear the message for possibly the first time. She is bold and fearless..always has been.

The different colored rooms are at a studio in LA used for photography/videos. This is not a production of Republic Records, it was produced by Angelina's uncle/ Business Manager, Michael Astar. They booked the studio, Angelina brings her own mic & I'm guessing Rob Christie is playing the piano. Michael edits the video & we have another family made masterpiece for her fans.

Angelina has the talent to hear a song differently than everyone else. I believe her intention is to tell the story of the song to the best of her ability. I now have a much better understanding of the story of Billie Jean after hearing Angelina's version. I have always loved Michael Jackson but we were always distracted by his incredible dancing to fully understand the story he was singing.

Yes she is fearless. Who else will sing absolutely anything Acapella at the drop of a hat. Most artists are scared to death to sing acapella. She does it all the time just strolling around the neighborhood, in a parking garage... And she nails it every time like she nails everything she does. She doesn't copy the original. She reinterprets it and does it Angelina style. To me it's the way it was meant to sung in most cases. Is there nothing she can't do? I haven't seen anything yet. You still have a great journey ahead of you. We will be here to experience it with you.
Try 'What a Difference a Day Makes' at 8yrs old in the middle of a huge crowd at a Jazz Festival she sang at many times including this past spring.

I think you have a long wait ahead of you. Although I have watched and listened to quite a few singers who have sung her arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody" I didn't find the feel the emotional magic of Angelina in their performances.

Right, SauceyDad, she's "remarkable" to say the least. While she's rooted in jazz, one quick look at her list of covers shows seriously wide-ranging musical tastes. Her cover choices might seem idiosyncratic to us, but it's clear that she couldn't give a fig about how iconic a song is when deciding whether to put her spin on it. Supremely confident? Fearless? Call it what you will, but I'm not at all surprised by it. She's always been secure enough to put herself out there, even when the songs were unpolished (all of those early rehearsals, practice sessions, etc., were obviously imperfect works in progress). Yes, Angelina is one of the very, very few people who from an early age has had the maturity and total confidence in being "comfortable in her own skin". So much so that I doubt any other artist would allow many of the videos on Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz channel to be uploaded for public viewing.
@@alberttenfoot Agreed, Albert, although I honestly haven't investigated to see if anyone has released a similar treasure trove. When I first looked into AJFM I had similar thoughts, as I totally enjoyed one informal and/or partial performance after another, some even more viscerally than later more polished efforts. On one hand, I understand why it might be unique or at least very rare - artists want to be seen/heard at what they think is their best. On the other hand, though, no thinking music fan expects a singer/musician to perform at their absolute best on the first try, and it's fun and educational to see how artists perfect their craft, improving with time and practice. (Of course, we know Angelina can be stunningly compelling right out of the gate with a song, so, yeah, she's a part of a rare breed.).
So are we having fun yet? I have a hard time understanding the HOW with every new video she puts out. Even the short little tic toc’s are great. Just her playing her guitar or piano or just walking down a sidewalk or in a parking garage. She could sell tickets to all of them.

We've got footage of her working on certain songs she never uploaded, e.g. by Abba. Hence I'm reasonably sure, her quality control filter is quite rigorous. If a song doesnt work out, you'll probably never see it.

I've been listening to AJ for almost 3 years and about 3 months in I listened to this and couldn't believe what I was hearing! Love this video with no mic and giving a real performance. You're right, it rarely gets air time.
@@frankphillips5660 Yes, and not even just the lack of reactors, but the general lack of views/likes seems crazy for such a gut-wrenchingly compelling cover of a classic. It's really a hidden gem. If you haven't seen the original that I provided the link for above, you should check it out if only for the adorable little "eye thing" Angelina does before she starts (it's not in Rusty's "animated painting" version). The juxtaposition of the child-like "eye thing" with what comes next reminds you of just how precocious a talent she is.

I like AJ and think she has a wonderful voice and does sing with emotion. However, genius is only an exaggeration her obsessed fans would use. It's like she is the only singer they have ever "heard". As for the adjectives describing her taking on this iconic song, those are not the words I would use to describe someone who's a tad full of themselves. There are some songs that really need to be left alone. And how much influence does her uncle and grandmother have in helping her arrange these songs??? If at all, just curious.

You’ve obviously never seen any of the rehearsal videos of her correcting the musicians or conductors. You can go to Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz, her grandma Mery’s channel and learn all kinds of cool shit about this kid if you want to. Her grandma Mery was a child prodigy in poetry and art, Angelina just happens to be one in music, much to your dismay, apparently! By the way, she wasn’t born with a perfect voice, she is self taught and has been practicing many hours a day since she was very young. She learned to play the piano and guitar in after school music programs but has never had a vocal lesson. Every thing she is, she has worked very hard for and don’t ever forget that!

@@challloyd215 A lot of people seem to think that these talents she has just fell out of the sky and she was born with perfect pitch and blah blah blah. All I was trying to point out to you was that she was born with an incredibly high aptitude for music but everything she has attained vocally has been due to a very high work ethic and a desire to become the best vocalist she could possibly be,practicing 4-5 hrs a day. Let’s remember, this girl is still a child at 16 years of age, and shouldn’t have anyone questioning her integrity.
