Is The TC Electronic Clarity M Stereo and 5.1 A Worthwhile Purchase What I Like and What I Don't?

In this video I share what I like and dislike about the TC Electronic Clarity M Stereo and 5.1. I share honest insights into what I believe is a piece of equipment that is vitally necessary to anyone who has to deliver audio to multiple forms of media. Although you can successfully get by with a metering plugin you are severely limited if you want to reference other sources in your studio. Years ago high end consoles had this metering built into the meter bridge. Today the fact that this type of metering is available at this price point makes it almost necessary. DAW 1: (Scoring Station) Pro Tools 12, Logic Pro X and Sibelius using a Focusrite 2i4
DAW 2: (Recording Station) Pro Tools HD8 WHY? It’s fully paid for. 44.1K and 48K are the same on any HD system.
No one I know records at 96K and clients haven’t requested 96K sessions

I couldn’t agree more, it was a pain hooking it up because there is no clear instructions on how to hook it up for a hybrid setup, no clear videos or examples in the manual. I had to resort to trail and error. I finally got everything working by going straight to the AES connection 🤦🏾‍♂️
How ever other than that I love this box, a great addition to my setup 👌🏾

Warren you are missing the bus on the connections. What is the point of analog as it gives you no reference. If your analog signal is hot or low it will give false results. The whole concept of the digital connection is there is no gain its the digital signal and it represents if its clipping, etc. I have the Clarity and AES is the simple way to connect.

Logic Pro 10.7.3 quit unexpectedly when using ClarityM plugi n on INTEL MAC, macos Big Sur. The Clarity M Stereo device is now unusable with Logic Pro!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a workaround if you could duplicate the master fader and you have an interface with multiple outputs you can use it.
