Just showed this video to my father he's 93yrs old and you seen his face almost tears in his eyes so now I have to find some old movies for him to watch he will love it.
The harmony that is produced by musically gifted siblings is very special, indeed. The Andrews Sisters were at the top of the heap. To wit: The Lennon Sisters, The Osmonds, The Simon Sisters, et.al
My dad, a WWII Air Corp vet, used to tell me this when I started to act dumb as a kid. Funny thing is that I now use this expression to remind myself to tighten up and fly right.
My mother was a 16 year old singer in those days and this was one of her favorite songs when we got in trouble at home. Still love it! She did make changes and added 'Straighten up and do right. Cool down Mama, don't you blow your stack! "
I cut my teeth listening to my Mama sing all these old favorites, that became my favorites. Even in my DJ days I still had to play some of these when I could find them. I remember doing an entire show doing segways in and out of the songs with orchestrations. Got lots of requests and my boss finally had to ask me to do the sign off repeating the format. It was really fun doing it but could never repeat the same sequence, so it was new every time.
If I hadn't played the video game of mafia 2, probably I would never have known like this musics. Thanks to mafia 2, I had learnt new musics that I have never heard before.
The way Patty gets into the songs, with her mannerisms and expressions is top tier. Is there even anyone in the music scene these days or since who has that type of talent? Anyone know of anyone so I can take a look?
The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. They were Broadway and tv/film actors first, then became Irish folk singers. Very animated on stage and got into their songs like no one else. Particularly Liam and Tom Clancy.
Lately the thing I've been noticing more and more is how lovely it is that they liked each other and enjoyed playing around. It just makes it all the more warm. Ah sisters. My own sisters have always had a good understanding of each other and jokes nobody else gets.
@@Maplelust An outstanding, wonderful videogame. It introduced lots of people to old hollywood, it's music, it's movies, it's fashion. I used to hate cinema and couldn't find out which type of music I liked before Mafia II introduced me to the 30's-50's.

I had an employee who had served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, like my Dad, and he was about the age as my Dad and he supervised a bunch of young guys. Most were younger than me. He, like my Dad, just loved to work. He was in his 70’s and still at it. He used to say things like, “This jitterbug is getting on my last nerve” and “he’d better straighten up and fly right”. He was awesome! He passed away a few years ago, after he lost his wife, unfortunately. They don’t make people like him anymore.
I discovered them about ten years ago when I was 13. Now I’m 23 and back here again 😀 Lovely video 😀 If only I could have the talent of these women. It seems so fun what they were doing 💃🏻
Memories of my Mom brought me here. No Mafia II or anything other than a snippet of this song on the movie RAY prompted me to remember her dancing around the kitchen while holding me, & singing this song to the radio. I was about 3 yrs old :) I'm happy for the unusually cold/snow here that caused a snow day, and old movies to watch! Great talent not to be forgotten!
I haven't played Mafia II or any Fallout games, but interestingly enough Dragon Quest III brought me here. Specifically Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, but this one was the first recommended

I love the music from this era and also appreciate music from the current era heck even music hundreds of years before this also catches my, and probably a ton of other people's, attention. Why can't we appreciate both the past and the present and look forward to the future? heck good music is being produced everyday and you don't even have to look that far!
Being born in the 80s is getting screwed over when it comes to music. The Andrews Sisters were and still are the greatest singers who ever lived. No other group can I find literally 100s of songs by and love every song. These girls were greatest generation through and through.

These women had perfect harmony, and their choreography was killer.
By killer, you mean goofily bad. I mean it's charming, and the Andrew sisters are known for their silly choreography.
