    I'm approaching 3 months post op from L4-L5-S1fusion and I didn't fit for "minimally invasive." My recovery has been pretty trouble free. Lots of walking, but I get very tired easily. Pre op I spent my life traveling - living mostly in Europe, relocating every 3-6 months. My surgeon says his goal is to get me back to the South of France (where I may settle down), but the problem is managing loaded suitcases. When you travel like I do (alone), you take a lot of stuff. I'm glad to hear you were able to do it. I meet again with my surgeon in a few weeks to further discuss.

    I had a revision with stand alone alif of a failed fusion on l5-s1 during Christmas 2020. I had to struggle with leg discomfort for 6 months after the surgery, did a lot of rehabilitation but in june 2021 i was trekking with my wife with no pain at all. Now after 3 years I have to fuse L4-L5. It was already degenerated before the surgery. My life is again in stand by, I really would not like to have major surgery again but I’m pretty much calm than the last time because I know that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. I only suggest to choose wisely your surgeon even if you have to travel to find the right you one, it made the difference for me

    Hey man thanks for your service, I had l5-s1 Plif and I am at the 1 year mark. I recently had a set back. From the 9 month mark I have been back in the gym and Spin training. About two weeks ago I started feeling stiffness and tightness. Thier is click in my back when my heel hits the ground. Alot of popping and clicking. Have you felt anything like that. I also have had tingling in my toes and siatica. I have been taking a muscle relaxer and antiinflammatory. Thier was nothing specifically like "man that movement was bad." This was like a slow onset. I see my surgeon in a week. I felt like I was over the hurdles but maybe not. Any inputs would be appreciated. My fear is that thier is a secondary issue that my surgeon. One last question what was the projected total recovery time your surgeon gave you? My surgeon told me 18 months.

      Hey sir, I would get tons of adjustments. That’s usually when I’m stretching after waking up. I can tell you if something isn’t feeling right, cut back a little bit and do some troubleshooting to see exactly what may be causing the issues. I hope it’s nothing.

    Hey cool you're LEO. I am not, but I'm probably the only male in my extended family that wasn't lol (I chose stone working) 🤪🤷
    Over seas flights are brutal no matter what, unless you have a personal gulf stream or something lol
    Glad to see you're active and physical man. Very cool.
    I'm gonna guess we might be extra grumpy in our 60s and 70s though 😩
    I just look at guys like hulk Hogan, with 11 back surgeries, or Ronny Coleman 😞 then I really feel like a beech 🤪
    Rough climate for cops right now man.. I don't envy you guys. Be safe brother 🙏 My Dad used to say that he enforced the spirit of the law, not the letter.. be fair & just. Show grace when possible, and set good examples for these messed up kids these days .. 👀 I'm so glad I grew up when I did!

      @@TheFuzedLife haha! Well I specialize in dimensional stone (countertops/crafts) and custom tile. If you need those types of things I can certainly answer lots of questions, give advice, etc. I'd totally travel when I'm back in shape! But, it's probably gonna be a minute before I'm slaying mountains again lol 😆
      I am connected in the tile and dimensional stone trades though. I have traveled the country doing various cool related works. I may be able to help facilitate quality craftspeople in your area in these trades. If it's masonry, you're on your own though 😬

      Hey man, I’m here contemplating a fusion or seeking disc replacement. Freaked out about either one. Your videos bring some hope. Was curious to know more. How does someone reach out to you?

  • @Ironstarfish
    @Ironstarfish 9 місяців тому +1

    Arnt you worried about duty belt and other stuff adding strain to the adjacent discs as time goes on. My wife thinks I'm panicking by asking for working at back desk or just straight up take a non sworn position even. I'm grade 2 spondylolisthesis and a almost obliterated disc l5s1 and narrowing of canal and foramen. I was on an inversion table and came up with the most massive flare up I'm doing pt, shots and on the road to fusion but of course the dr wont say when or even if I need it, he will only tell me my options.

      Patrick, email me and we can talk more.
      Was I worried right after surgery? A little. But we’re not fragile packages, we’re resilient humans. So right now, not worried at all.
