    Good video! My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

    Is there a transcript for this awesome video, -. So many great phrases but I can’t remember them all

    For expressions I've found it's easiest to memorize the literal word for word translations in English. It also helps me "think" in that language.

    Thanks for putting these together. It'd help most people learning and use in the conversation if you can note whether most phrases are used in Spain or Latin America? BTW, "Tengo que retirarme" ?? None of native speakers I spoke with took it as "I have to go"??😐

      It does mean “I have to go” but it’s way way too formal, you would only say that if you’re in the company of The President or someone really important. Never in a social situation… Maybe only joking!

      Interesting point. It isn’t common for English speakers to say “I have to retire” when ending a conversation.

    Thanks for the video. But there seems to be some small mistakes. Like 'no puedo hacer esto' means I can't do this. But it says that it means 'I can't do that'.

    For “I go to sleep,”
    You say, “Me duermo.”
    Google translate says “Voy a dormir.”
    Which is correct?

      @Noisey_fox 2 роки тому +1

      voy a dormir is more like future tense so its like I am going to sleep. Me duermo is like I sleep. By the way I am not a native but I have an okay understanding of spanish so far.

      Word by word translation doesn't work in any language.

    Pero porque repiten 2 veces el español, es el inglés que tienen que repetir 2 veces para ayudarnos con las pronunciación ok

    Many of these phrases are translated figuratively and not literally. Some of these are actually translated by the meaning and not using words into english. I would suggest a different place to learn.
