- The scary story of our Dinghy Accident while Sailing in Turkey. A crazy gust of wind blew the dinghy upside down. We luckily quickly escaped from underneath, but our new outboard engine got completely submerged in seawater... Will we be able to rescue it? All in this episode of the Dutch Sailing Family. And of course we take you along the impressive scenery of Kekova and Kas in the South of Turkey.

@@DutchSailingFamily Oh~~ These days, travel is so comfortable and accustomed to the Mediterranean, so we are going to start a little difficult adventure by going to Egypt via Cyprus. I'm going to start another style trip to the Red Sea by preparing in Marmaris. I hope to see you again somewhere.

Hi. Just subscribed. As a small creator I love helping others in the community along. More than slightly jealous of your shengen privileges and the friendship between nations my country threw away. The good bit about April in Turkey us that it's bearable temp wise. Midsummer is crazy hot. Well done with the engine

Had het terugdraaien van dingy niet makkelijker gegaan over de lange kant...? Gebruikmakend van het gewicht van de motor....
Ik vroeg het mezelf af..... Een enerverende video zowizo 😅😅
En een bijzondere ervaring rijker,... Daar gaat het tog ook om,...

Dat zou kunnen, maar dan heb je wel een veel langere arm qua gewicht om omhoog te krijgen, dinghy is iets van 3,3 m lang..
We dachten nog een winch te gebruiken met 1 van de halyards maar dit lukte eigenlijk sneller..
Ja precies die ervaring vergeten we niet meer 😂
misschien ook een idee om, terwijl de dinghy ondersteboven lag, een touw ónder de dinghy (dus in het water) aan de verre drijver vast te maken.
Dan de 'dichtbij drijver' een beetje optillen en (iemand anders) aan het touw trekken. Dan trek je die 'verre drijver' die anders steeds een eigen leven wil gaan leiden, als het ware onder de andere drijver door en je hebt controle c.q. die drijver glibbert niet weg.
Het probleem bij de gebruikte werkwijze is dat de drijver die in het water blijft 'wegglijdt'. Het lukt pas om de dinghy te flippen als je het zwaartepunt over die glijdende drijver kan krijgen

It was one thing to vlog the build up to the adventure, and now we're actually living it, it's slightly harder still! But I love capturing all those moments and share to inspire. I hope you will go far!
Goed dat de motor het weer doet. Het valt niet mee om dat zoute water eruit te krijgen. Heb je een nieuw bougie erin gedaan of gewoon de oude weer erin? Ik heb t gelukkig niet bij de hand gehad. Leuk dat je ouders ook op bezoek komen. Hoop dat t olie lek meevalt. Ga jullie zien....Roy en Ellis
Ja erg blij mee, klopt inderdaad dat dat een aardig klusje was. En dan al die elektronica er op helemaal nat.. geluk gehad denk ik, en de juiste stappen genomen uiteindelijk! Zelfde bougies er weer in, na even schoon en droog maken. Olie probleem is inmiddels ook opgelost, volgende video komt er weer meer over! We zitten nu aardig dicht in de buurt van elkaar hè 😀
@@DutchSailingFamily Zeker dicht bij elkaar. Nu op Arki (Arkoi) Vrijdag naar Fourni. Moeten langs dierenarts op Samos, dan gaan we verder naar het noorden.
@@sailing-etanche Aha, ok! Wij pikken hopelijk over 2 weken ongeveer ons nieuwe anker op op Samos, en nog een pakje voor de kids uit NL. Wachten even wat windvlagen af vandaag in een baai in t noorden van Leros, en ik denk morgen ochtend richting Lipsi 🙂
