Here is the recipe for Trivandrum Style Boli Making video for you..! with the famous side dish paal payasam.. Just try and enjoy the taste..!!
Ingredients for Boli
Chana dal - 500gm
water to cook - 1 ltr
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp + 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 500gm
Nutmeg powder - 1 tsp
cardamom powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Maida - 500gm
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Gingelly Oil - 50 to 100 ml
Ghee
Ingredients for Paal Payasam (use 5 Ltr Cooker to cook)
Milk - 1 Ltr
Sugar - 1 Cup
Raw rice - 1/2 cup

Too yummy. Ll try ur version of this combo. U explain very well. If we boil sugar, milk and rice together. Won't it curdle? I used to add sugar last. Please tell.
It will not curdle.. just try.. don't use cooker which is used to make curry

We call this as puran poli in Maharashtra. It is very famous .Now a days it is sold in packets in the malls. I make it on holidays. Here the eat it with a sour and sweet dall gravy.or srikhand.. Supurb

if we use jagerry the the filling will be more watery.. you can use jaggery , but very careful about the paruppu consistency before ginding

Chechi the stuffing went little loose. How to rectify it.
add some roasted basen flour.. add little by little.. or keep in an open vessel.. for some time, once its completely cooldown this will become hard..
