I'm studying there now and loving the experience! Good luck and build on your portfolio while you have time! It's worth noting that it's post-graduate only so you likely need a degree first.
My girlfriend wants to study here. I asked her why this one and she replied; If you want to study in europe, you make sure to lay your back on the royals, they hold the strings XD ...
Hello I am from India. It is my dream to study in RCA. But I don't know anything about the application procedure. I have already visited the website but little confused. Also I want to know about funding for international students
@@chenjoseph735 Hey Chen, great to hear that! I hope it's been favorable. As far as I've heard, the RCD programme is focused on research-based conceptual thinking? In any case, do they have mid year internships with industry leaders like they do at Coventry Uni? Also in your opinion, what are the advantages of the programme at RCA over CovUni?
@@notadoctorshh6544 Since the programme is now 15 months, it's almost impossible to do any internship during the study or holiday. Everyone would suggest you to take a gap year if you can have a good internship opportunity. The programme emphasize on research but the outcome is almost the same as normal car design students (designing cars, not a system or service) but they suggest us do project with more prospective value such as city car instead supercar. Coventry to me, has been dead for years because they give everyone offer. Coventry uni TD master is the plan Z for all my car design friends although their bachelor degree is the best in UK (the only one school that teach car design properly in UK for bachelor degree.) I would say avoid doing TD master in Coventry because the program is dated and they don't really teach basic in master degree. If your goal is to design cars and get better at sketching, nether school is ideal for you. The connection of school and industry is not really important if your work is amazing. Instagram and behance will show your stuff to all the car designers. Maybe a few students (2 to 3 each year out of over 100 students) in Coventry uni get internship in Jaguar or Land Rover, but then that's not because of school, that because of their skills (they are from bachelor degree too). The main advantage of the programme in RCA is that you get to communicate with students from other programme and it will truly open your eyes to the future. What I can say is that RCA is the school that creates design executives not designers. But first you need to get good at sketching.
