Not heavy to me at all and You never “THROW AWAY” a Doona CAR Seat strolling❗️It absolutely holds its value and very easy to resale. I TRAVEL a lot and ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY DOONA STROLLER!
Love my doona! My baby is 13 months and still is in it for travel purposes. If we aren’t traveling she’s in a toddler car seat and regular stroller. But the average baby fits until they’re almost 2.
I looove our doona +. We had a premie and I bought the rain cover since it rains a lot where we live and it has kept her in a literal bubble. Plus it’s great for warmth since she was born close to winter. I also love that it has a pretty high resale value!
I have a new addition coming in December and would like to know how is the doona in the winter ? I'm excited to try it this time . When I had my son 4 years ago it had just came out and it had mixed reviews
Tamara Thomas my daughter was born in October but didn’t leave the hospital until a few days before Dec. the Doona is nice and cozy and the bottom seat that is meant for infants kept her really warm. We actually had to make sure she didn’t over heat. Even now she’s 6 almost 7 months old and it’s still her favorite stroller to be in and I’ve bought many just so she can sit and stare out
I purchased the Doona, I love it! If I could complain about one thing, the lack of a storage basket. Buy I bought Doona bag accessories and it's fantastic but it did cost $90.
My son is 18 months old and only recently stopped using Doona. I have very similar experience to yours! I love Doona and wouldn't trade it for anything else! My son wasn't wiggling his legs like yours did, so we had no ankle redness issue. From extra accessories I would also recommend the rain cover in more rainy climates. And the sun shade for hot summer days!
I heard you mentioned about discounts. I don’t know about coupons, but if anyone is planning on having a baby or pregnant the best discount I found was on black Friday week it it was knocked off $100. So I guess if you are planning on having a baby in the future that’s the best time to grab a Doona.
I’m so glad you posted a 10 month review! I feel the same about the visor and the handle. (🤣 your son dramatically trying to touch the baby 🤣) I don’t like how the wheels drop quickly and roughly, my husband doesn’t seem to mind but your first video helped me to keep in mind to just put the car seat on the ground then drop down the wheels, gently. Thank you for posting your first video & posting that on FB! This really helped me find what I was looking before our son was born. Great investment ever for our last baby. I feel a bit happy when I see other parents hauling around their heavy car seats and I’m just rolling in with my baby without that struggle. A few people have stopped us in the store to ask questions about it and I’ve referred them to yalls first video as well, I really hope they do and did check it out 👍 Jesus bless y’all!!
I’m so happy you love your doona! The dramatic sneeze and touching baby is my favorite part of the video! 😂 Thanks for sharing our video with others, it helps us out a lot! God bless you and your little family 😊
hvaldez 505 Agree completely! We’ve been using ours for 5 months now and absolutely love it. Its really worth the investment. My husband says, that it was the best baby purchase I’ve made :) made our lives so much easier
Meerim Silfwerin yeah it has been the best purchase ever! I wish they had this when we had our other 2, since baby is our last baby I know for sure we were tired and not looking forward to hauling a heavy car seat and a heavy baby 😅 well worth investing for sure 👍
This stroller and the Willow breast pump are two items I wish I could afford . Having a baby is so expensive. My baby now is a toddler but I believe everything would have been much easier with these gears.
I have been eyeing this stroller/car seat but it is expensive but looks so convenient. My baby is three months and is super cubby. Being on disability is hard and buying this stroller at the moment is out of the question. Hopefully one day I get to own one for my baby girl who is three months right now. Thanks for the review.
Oh congrats on your little baby! 😃 this stroller has been a blessing and definitely made life easier. We’re hoping to do a give away soon so please subscribe and stay tuned 😊
Such a great review, really comprehensive and thorough. I was dreading the whole carseat and bulky pram rigmarole that takes up half the backseat and half the boot lol i am so getting one of these
Julia thanks for the kind words! That’s exactly how we were. Definitely hesitant to spend the money but haven’t looked back once! Best baby investment ever!
Hi! Love and appreciate these videos so much!! Last time it really took a while to get the seat out to wash it. Any more comments and updates on this? It really did not look easy!
Thanks for your kind words! It was actually pretty hard to get out but surprisingly easier to put back on. We’re planning on making a full video on replacing the cover after washing.
Yes I love the doona, I have it in the house all day also and use it as a rocker or sway baby in the stroller, to help with sleeping sometimes and because it’s snug it helps put baby to sleep real fast and then I put baby in her cot after that and love that u can change the colour of the fabric
It’s not safe for the babies neck to be in the position because it can cause asphyxiation. Babies should be flat on their back with no crib bumper, blanket, or accessories to prevent suffocation
I have the Doona! I LOVE it. So worth the money. I use my knee to help stop the wheel pop out so fast. Especially when baby is sleeping. I used my 20% off coupon with Buy Buy Baby Registry
I’m 5ft10” and so undecided if il be to tall for it for everyday use. There’s no stores that carry it so I can’t go and try before I buy (online) Seems ideal for the school run rather than pulling a pram out of the boot of the car just wish we could try it in store.
I’m 5’8” and feel like the potential level of annoyance the handle height may cause for someone a couple inches taller would be minimal.. especially after they experienced how convenient it is compared to any other product. If it was a little short for me, it’d still be worth it when considering all the ways it’s made life easier
My sister in law used it for a year with her daughter then she handed it down to me two years later for my baby it’s great the only thing is that I did have to buy new wheels the old ones were worn down cause she did use it everyday and I used it for like two months before replacing the wheels and now it’s like brand new
We bought ours from buy buy baby and we got 15% off because it was on our registry, and then racked up over $100 in bonus bucks to use at the store from buying it! So no real discounts from the actual Doona brand but you can get money back by being crafty!
We absolutely LOVE our Doona! My daughter fit in it until about 13 months when she got 31" long and we moved her to a convertible carseat. Would absolutely buy a Doona for everyone I know that gets pregnant lol
Nino Manuel thanks for the comment! :) the handle only telescopes in the full forward position. It cannot telescope in the middle or back so unfortunately it still catches the shade.
I guess I’m the only one who’s not a fan of the stroller . From day 1 felt like it was just way too compact for my baby to be comfortable, i removed the padding as he grew but it still just didn’t seem right . It’s super heavy !!!!! But has a nice roll to it .
I agree and my baby was small even at 12 lbs my baby looks squished and uncomfortable. I didn’t like the short shade because whenever I would drive the sun would get in my baby’s face. It’s zero storage so using it in the mall is pointless when you have bags but no where to put it. And also as you mentioned it is really heavy. Not so much of a a fan. I have a maxi cosi travel system as well and like that one so much better
Can you push it forward with the handle on the back and can you adjust the position of the seat? Honestly I think I’ll get it anyway because I dreaded getting the baby out and hooking it to the travel system then having to do all that to get it back down. So this will save me headaches for pick up and drop off too!!
Very dumb question but I just bought one and is there anyway to adjust the bottom button strap ? My son is only a month and half about 7lbs and I feel like it’s so tight even adjusting the the shoulder straps 🤦🏻♀️
Thanks for you’re comment. I believe only the straps are adjustable. You can loosen it, put baby in and buckle, then tighten the straps for a snug secure fit.
Resale value matters. A new $550 Doona can be sold used for $450 in a year. That makes it a $100 stroller. It’s a much better value than a $150 stroller which can be sold for $75 in a year.
@@thebongers I dont have a doona (although wish I did, my little one is a lump and a half) we have a cybex cloud and a mamas and papa pram. They work for us but they are both quiet heavy. On a separate note i have been known to walk around a supermarket or mall with the rain cover on.

Did you use it from the moment you got out of the hospital, I am a little concerned on how safe it for a newborn like when going out for walks, or did you have a different stroller when you where taking it for longer walks more than 30 minutes. I have asked a doctor about it and it did not recommend it for a new born due to the posture that may not breath properly as the chinay be to cloae to the chest since the baby cannot lay on Horizontal position. So what is your opinion since you used it? Than you!
My baby is 6 weeks old and I’m debating on whether or not I should but this because I can’t carry him around in the car seat to run quick errands. He’s already heavy for me lol and I have rheumatoid arthritis.

Nikki Bentley Is My Angel : I didn’t waste money on it, Miss. We love it. It makes makes traveling by train, plane, and automobile, including Ubers, easy. And we definitely aren’t idiots.
My niece is 10 months old she’s walking she’s running. She started walking A week before she turned nine months old she grew out of that car seat when she was eight months right now she’s in 12 to 18 month clothes. 😭❤️
We’ve been looking into Doona but from pictures I have seen the chest clip looks so much wider/longer than other brands and the buckle strap across the legs seems to sit in a weird place compared to other seats. Also the shoulder strap seems to sit at more of a gap across the body. Have you noticed these things to be an issue? I haven’t had a chance to see one in person yet! ☺️
AELovesPhotography thanks for the questions. We haven’t noticed any of those things to be an issue. With the newborn insert and seat belt adjustments baby has been quite comfortable and secure in this seat. Hope this helps!😊
Probably depends on your front seating position. I know in our Tiguan my husband can’t sit as far back as he normally would while the car seat is there
I’m 5’11 and well over 6ft with heels on. The low height was a concern for me. Seeing as I’m the primary care holder I really don’t want to be uncomfortable. Has anyone had one of these in my situation and not found and problems or discomfort in that area??
Has anyone got this for their first baby and re-used it for subsequent children? Curious as to how it holds up for multiple children over the years. The price may be more worth it if I re-use it for multiple babies as we plan to have several.
At 6.5’ I think you might struggle with it. My hush and is 6’ and he can do it for only a short time. If you have long arms that might make a difference.
@@thebongers also , as you seem to know about these these, do you know of any car seats that swival but can also be slicked into stroller base. ??? Thanks

Honestly I think I’ll get it anyway because I dreaded getting the baby out and hooking it to the travel system then having to do all that to get it back down. So this will save me headaches for pick up and drop off too!!
The handle will not extend if it is in the rear position. So you can’t really push it with your child facing forward, only towards yourself.
It’s a much better value than a $150 stroller which can be sold for $75 in a year.
facebook marketplace sells it for less than $300

Hello, thanks for the video… how is this stroller when shopping since it’s no basket? Is it too much sometimes to carry everything?
It can be a hassle while shopping. However is can fit in most shopping carts but of course will limit grocery space
It is a hassle to take shopping because it is no space to put the bags, purse, or diaper bag.
The one handed question I bet she meant can you steer it with one hand haha!
Steering definitely can be one handed . :)

It does wiggle a little because of the expansion.
Yes
My husband is 6’0” and he wishes they handle was longer. He sometimes kicks the wheels!
Yeah same with my husband. A lot of the time he pushes it one handed so he is slightly offset so his feet don’t kick it. But it does happen.
Nikki Bentley Is My Angel lol someone is a hater! If they can afford it then why not? 😀 We love ours!
Nikki Bentley Is My Angel : I didn’t waste money on it, Miss. We love it. It makes makes traveling by train, plane, and automobile, including Ubers, easy. And we definitely aren’t idiots.
J B : We love ours, too!

Hi! Do I have to buy the isofix also? Is it necessary?
ΑΣΠΑ ΤΣΑΚΑΛΟΥ I believe it comes with one seat base included. You can buy additional ones for more vehicles.
What weight was your baby at when you stopped using this?
My niece is 10 months old she’s walking she’s running. She started walking A week before she turned nine months old she grew out of that car seat when she was eight months right now she’s in 12 to 18 month clothes. 😭❤️
Wow that’s amazing!
Can I push this from behind so baby can face out if the handle bar is in the back position and extended all the way?
The handle will not extend if it is facing that direction.
Dang I wish I didn’t have 10 stairs to get inside my house or otherwise I’d be very interested in this
Oh wow I bet you get your workout! 😊
You don't have to use it as a stroller though. You can carry it like a car seat
Do you have a link for your bug screen?
Couldn’t find it on amazon anymore but the doona website has it. www.shopdoona.com/collections/doona-accessories/products/doona-insect-net
Best price is on Amazon me and my wife just bought 2
Congrats!
Would this fit (rear facing) in a golf GTI???? Any help would be appreciated!
Probably depends on your front seating position. I know in our Tiguan my husband can’t sit as far back as he normally would while the car seat is there
@@thebongers dang!!
I’m 5’11 and well over 6ft with heels on. The low height was a concern for me. Seeing as I’m the primary care holder I really don’t want to be uncomfortable. Has anyone had one of these in my situation and not found and problems or discomfort in that area??
It may be a bit small for you. My husband is 6’ and he wouldn’t wanna wheel it around for “too” long before it would become uncomfortable most likely.
Its not too low though i think you would still be comfortable. Its not horrible as far as height. My Biggest issue was not having storage underneath
Has anyone got this for their first baby and re-used it for subsequent children? Curious as to how it holds up for multiple children over the years. The price may be more worth it if I re-use it for multiple babies as we plan to have several.
Hi I’m 6.5 we waiting for our first baby and my wife want to get this so bad, my question is if I’m going to have issues moving it
At 6.5’ I think you might struggle with it. My hush and is 6’ and he can do it for only a short time. If you have long arms that might make a difference.
Is it possible to use the doona with a double stroller?
I’m sorry I don’t actually know the answer to that but I don’t think so 🤔
I seen a comment here about using this on planes trains ubers etc. Can this be secured is other cars etc without the isobase. ??
Yes it can be done without the base. Check out our other video which discusses this. ua-cam.com/video/xWWm1YptHm4/v-deo.html
@@thebongers also , as you seem to know about these these, do you know of any car seats that swival but can also be slicked into stroller base. ??? Thanks
Hello, I was just wondering if this car seat was 500 because the Amazon link you put says 900? I'm so scared to by a fake one. If you could help it would be appreciated.
Unfortunately prices have spiked

Does this come with a base for the car? Or do I have to buy that seperatev
It sure does! I’m not sure if they sell a lot without but the normal $500 kit includes a base.
The Bongers thank you so much!!! 💕
