I bought a Doona with my second baby. I loved it but he absolutely despised it. Screamed his head off for every single car ride for the first several months. I dreaded just going to the grocery store. It never even occurred to me that it could have been the Doona and I just assumed my LO hated car rides. Later I read thousands of reviews saying their baby screamed in the Doona but never cried for car rides again once they gave up on the Doona and switched seats. Is that thing uncomfortable? Now I feel horrible. My baby is now 13 months old and is grown out of it and prefers to be forward facing so I gifted my Doona to a friend who is expecting in September. I will ask her for her baby's review. My other complaint is that the car seat heats up like a heating pad if it's left in the car on a warm day. I would never leave it in the car. I'm not sure it's really designed for that but that means you need to make room for it in your house.

Am I able to start with the Genius Kit and then buy more parts to later to build the Legend Kit?

I love your practical math. I do this with most purchases and it's almost always worth it. $500 may seem pricey but...is it really 🤔 I don't think so😍

Please keep in mind you do have to put the side impact protection head support back in place!! That isn’t optional and is required for baby to be in the Doona car seat (you can find the info in the manual as well)! Only the infant insert can be removed and the shoulder strap cushions but the SIP Head Support must always remain on when baby is strapped in!

Can I put the stearing in the back so the infant will face forward????????

You'd need to be really careful that those magnets don't come off if baby is pulling at them 😬 Magnets are dangerous

I would never buy it i think it’s too expensive but i will rent it for the first couple of months when u often take rhe car seat out with the baby. Later we will Switch to a compact stroller once baby it 6mnth or older and can sit comfortably 😊 best plan 🤭

Not heavy to me at all and You never “THROW AWAY” a Doona CAR Seat strolling❗️It absolutely holds its value and very easy to resale. I TRAVEL a lot and ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY DOONA STROLLER!

Additional tip..if your baby is small like mine was at 4lbs and 15 ounces, you may want to purchase a neck cushion and switch it out with the one that comes with the stroller

Thank you for the tips. Very practical and straightforward. I especially liked the advice on collapsing the stroller easily. It always feels like I'm trying to tip my child out of the stroller. Great tip on changing the colour between children. Doona should pay you for promotion😂

Can you adjust the strap while its on the base in the car?

Very sturdy in comparison to other strollers that we had. I get a lot of compliments for it. I use the rain cover just to cover the car seat when it rains. If your front wheels don't turn well, make sure you lubricate.
