08-16-2024 Marietta, OK - Tornado damaged warehouse burns during demolition

The dollar tree warehouse that was so severally damaged during the tornado outbreak in southern Oklahoma that it was deemed unrepairable is burning today. During demolition of the large warehouse a fire broke out inside the structure quickly spreading through the debris and products still inside the building. An all call went out for all available fire units in love county to respond. A portion of the Northern wall collapsed during the fire and caused a grass fire that moved towards a gas station and a marijuana dispensary. It is unknown what caused the fire at this time. Local emergency management is monitoring the air in the area. During the fire you can hear almost continues small explosions echo in the building as the fire spreads. Heavy equipment can be seen being used to try and remove items from inside the building into a pike outside of what's left of the building in hopes to stop the spread.
