Seems like most UA-cam channels that are focused on precision shooting only show the matches that went well for them. It's a lot harder to show a match that didn't go as planned. Thanks for sharing what worked AND what didn't work.

Thanks for candidly sharing not just your wealth of knowledge, but also your experiments and what worked or didn't work! This helps me grow my understanding of the sport from all angles. As well, appreciate sticking to the Base builds, looking forward to your review of the choices made.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment! My aim is for people to learn the good, the bad, and the ugly haha.

Love your videos. I know you said you will talk about the build, but can you tell me which scope you ended up with? And are you generally ok with a half mil reticle hash marks?

Stuck with the Bushnell Match Pro (non-ED). I think 0.5 mil hash marks are more than adequate. It's pretty easy to bracket a target between two hash marks to get to 0.25/0.75/1.25 mil etc. holds. I try to dial whenever possible so holdovers are only used when necessary due to stage restrictions or if I feel there will be time pressure. While I do prefer my scopes with 0.2 mil hash marks, I don't think 0.5 hash marks hold me back, just a matter of training your eye/brain to know the correct holds.

Very cool. I didn't realise you were shooting that at the match. I have a CZ 457 LRP on the way to play with. I belive it is the same barrel and action just more of a match style stock. It won't qualify for Base but I wanted to play with it. Cya at the next match.

Still great and most of the misses looked sooooo close. Thanks for sharing I have that same set up less the arcs rail. Which bipod you using

Looks like a single pull ckye pod

Ckye Pod (way overkill for the sport, but it's a nice bipod)

Man, after watching the video i can see that trigger is really fighting you. Best of luck in the future and im sure after some dry fire youll be cleaning stages like the open gun.

Just poor fundamentals on my part. The factory trigger is about 1lb-1lb 3oz after the YoDave spring kit whereas my open rifle is a crisp and consistent 8oz (Timney). It's amazing how different they feel.

@@CopperStarPrecision Ladder stage when you are having to adjust your Bipod. To adjust it very hard to keep your arm away from front of muzzle.
