- How to make long nice fur from yarn. Keep in mind that It's mostly for small things like tails and hair on heads, not a whole suit.
If you don't have a straightener, you can use your iron on the lowest setting. Just go over it once or twice lightly on the lowest setting.

Hi
😍😍👍👍👍👍
@@racoon1467 hi
Or even, heat up a knife soem how and press it down while it's on a hard surface,it does the job,but I would recommend other methods
Or you could strangle the yarn with your hands too. Always works 👌👍
Ah perfect for ear tuffs! The inside of the ear or lynx ears would be good places for these little pieces of floof!
I was wondering about eeextra long fur for cheeck tufts, i mean superlong. Im working on australian shepherd and they have long cheektufts
I know there’s super thick, fluffy yarn (like super thick!) at my local craft store. I’d check there- then it can be any length you’d like!
@@disrepcloven4258 does the craft store have any website for buying the fur at there or something? I'd be interested to take a look (Sry about bad english ooff)
Okay but? I literally only started thinking about this having this tutorial yesterday? Are you a mind reader?
xXScribble DragonXx yes, she is
IT IS A REPOF
Now the only thing you have to make now is a tutorial on how to add the fur piece by piece on the suit!
Yes! I have no idea how I'd do that ;-;
O yesssss
I dare you to fur a hole head this way
Lol I'm gonna do this
I'm making a bunch of yarn fur to put on a plush I'll be making
I’m gonna do it! I’m poor as crap and can’t afford fur but I have a TON of yarn! Who knows, maybe it will turn out good!!!
This isn't hard beaucuse if 3 ppls doing it this isnt hard
@@calliepadilla3967 lmao same I've been working on a suit for a long time and I can't afford fur qwq I still wanna finish him tho so I'm up for a few months of this! XD
Now how do you make hair for a fursuit while using that technique? Also, FOOOOOURTH
That's what I want to find out x3
Mugiwara Cosplay
Alright! I was thinking maybe prepare the wefts and have a small knot at the end, then running one of those curvy needles (with thread) through the knot and hook it into the (already-furred) head. I say to use a curved needle so that you can get the thread back to tie it off. I haven't tried it myself yet, but no-one's done anything like this. Do you think you could please test out what I described?
Could definitely use this for smaller hair poofs and things like short zebra-ish manes but the standard longish hair poof would be hard cause it's limited by the length of the yarn fibers. Sure there's probably a way to make it work, just gotta find it :)
I actually did this with one of my heads! I had the knot in the center and used a curved needle to sew it to the fur. I didn't have the fur glued down, though, so it was easier to get it secure. I also went through it a couple times to make sure it stayed there!
@@MugiwaraCosplay .
1. acquire hex-mesh fabric.
2. stitch said fabric into appropriate pattern/shape.
3. tie appx. 6 strings per knot to the mesh at an 'X' insection. (you can do more depending on how dense you want the fur.)
4. follow this video tutorial after Each knotted string. (it is very difficult to get a nice look if your brushing out too many strands at once)
6. enjoy your gloriously breathable furry suit.
Omg I love this now I can finally get cheep fur for my fur suit only the ears
*the thing that i have waited for years*
*it came*
There’s tons of yarn weft tutorials out there! It’s mostly used in doll making but it’s also very fragile and will lose fibres p fast if they’re touched a lot
This is really helpful, now I can make correct coloured fur with my yarn!
The only thing that was going through my mind was...
HACKS!!!
TO BE CONTINUED...
Why do all your comments end with "TO BE CONTINUED"?

Hey. Long time no see. How have you been?
This is good for the little bit of voilet hair on top of Disco’s ears!! Thank you this was really helpful!!
You cannot stop me from doing anything! I’m gonna fur the entire full digitgrade fursuit this way! I’ve seen a friend do it and if you do it right it looks so amazing!
Wow I never knew you could do this I’ll definitely do this for my next fursuit project
This ir really good to make some fluffy hair, because I'm unable to find long fur
Thank you so much! I'm working on a Gnarpy mask and only have black fur so this rlly helps! 🎀
I've seen people do this for plushies and custom dolls, it would take FOREVER to do an entire suit like this.
It's mostly for small things like tails and hair on heads, not a whole suit
Would I be able to use it for a whole mane?
@@MugiwaraCosplay I kinda figured, but there's going to be this people who try a full thing anyway. I'll probably do this for my suit's heart mark on her chest and the hair tuft on her head and cheeks.
@@MugiwaraCosplayI'll make a partial well I'll need lots of yarn so It will be expensive
I may use this trick to make some lil bits of hair for my Dino mask!
So cute! I love them best without ironing ❤ so fluffy and fuzzy
Did this and I’m now working on adding fluff to a tail I made from some cheap cotton fabric
You could also use a hair dryer as a backup for heat treating the fur. It took me a month to make a 18" tail but that's probably because I had multi colored yard, I should have went with buying the separate colors instead of getting one yarn all the colors I wanted.
Ty I'm working on a moth fursuit head and needed to find a way to make the antenna fluff this helps a lot
I got a yarn ad on this lmao
Thanks very much for the tutorial!
this video helped! I’m making a fursuit of my channel character soon and I can’t afford fur but I love the video!
Omg that's terrific
I could do long fair adults this way now
Thank you now I can make fur for my Dino mask ❤️
HOOWWW DOO I PUTT ITT ONNNNN I WANNA DOO ITTT SOO BADDDDDdd
Thank you! I want to make a mask really bad but I can’t really think of a good excuse to my parents why I would buy like that fur sheet thing sooo ye :3
So Glad I found this to make my Xmas Gnome beard at the last minute for a gift. Thanks!
This could solve so many of my problems with finding the right color of fur!
Lmao I needed to know how to make fur for poms for crocheting hats and have discovered the DIY furry side of UA-cam! Hello, friends!
oh neat its the same method thats used for yarn hair in doll customizing!
Thanks for video, this is good for repairing the damage fur on my suit
GOD BLESS I CAN FINALLY DO MY LYNEL HEAD
I’m following this tutorial and have found that it’s easier to tie the yarn first rather than tie-brush-tie-brush. Then again it’s my opinion
I recommend that if you have a pet and you have a brush that you use for them do use that because its easier and if you dont want to iron it you dont need too
Thank you for this help
Im currently trying to make a fursuit with just materials from home
I sit in my room making accessories and costumes
I cant buy fur so i made fur
Its as soft as a cloud
you are so cool!!! I love ur fursuits and videos
Subbed :3
thank you!!.... this is so really helpful! hehehehe
Not using this for a fur suit but for cheaping out on hair extensions for Halloween, my characters hair is like 6 inches longer than mine so I'm trying to have fun on a budget 😂
The character im making a suit of has braids and this helps alot!
Good, now I can make a whole fursuit with these.
No, It's mostly for small things like tails and hair on heads, not a whole suit, that would be too expensive and very time consuming since you would need a looooot of yarn
It could be ear tufts or if you brush enough it could be a whole mane.
Thanks, now I can make my Overhaul jacket
Genius .. 🔥
Short&Easy. Awesome!
Thank you! Looks wonderful. You helped me!
Thanks! Uwu
Great for dino mask hair
Thank you for this! Brilliant!
*ok i have siccors, a straightener. And everything, do i ha-*
*i dont have yarn fu-*
huh, i can use this when i'm making plushies :3
Helloo!!! I know you are probably really busy, but are you going to make a kemono fursuit? I need help with my, but there are no tutorials on youtube... if you can't, its ok!
THANK YOU SO MUCH NOW I DONT GOTTA BUY THAT $125 FUR-
What can you use instead of a pet brush?
Making racoon tail hair extensions rn with this
Imagine how long it would take to get enough for paws
Im the first person to comment in the live chat.
can we use a combing brush instead of that brush
Thx
hey what’s the exact temp of low heat?? my straightener only goes down to 140 and i’m unsure how low that will be
Plz! Make a video learning how we can fur a moving jaw head base
How do we attach this to the head? Or the other parts :)
I haven't tried that yet
Okay so how do you avoid losing half the length while brushing. Cuz I've tried this and I lose about half the length or more when brushing it. No matter what I do I tried brushing from the bottom and working up I've tried brushing lighter I tried brushing harder I try to brushing from the top down I've tried brushing both sides I've tried separating out the unbrushed strands. And no matter what I do about half of the length or more comes off in the fluff.
Been having the same issue here. I'm afraid were using a different kind of yarn than the one shown in the video, mine simply disassembles itself as I brush
Tysm
This really helped! Thanks!
I recommend you have enough yarn before starting on a yarn tail because it sucks when your halfway through and run out XD (that’s happened to me before)
I've also started to collect a lot now x3
Your telling me all I need is yarn? I've been using felt! 😢
Instead of hair straightener we may use iron Box...... Shall we use This fur for miniature animals......
AH TYSM! Because I can't get fur stuff here ;-; or i could get it for a ridiculous price because of the shipping
*when furries finially figure out how to do gradients in suits...*
BUDGET SAVING!!!
Do you have to use acrylic yarn? And how do you apply this your project?
Cool now I know how to make these ear brushes from a lynx :D Should I just glue the fur on the ears or fur it and then glue or sew it on?
First of all, how the hell are we gonna sew it on?
Hi!! Im currently struggling with something and I wanted to see if you could possibly make a tutorial on it 😅 (if not that’s completely fine) but I wanted to make my suit two long braids but idk how to make them :,>
Do you have wool? You could fingerknit some kind of long ropes and plait (braid) them. (There are many tutorials on youtube of how to fingerknit) uwu
What if you have white yarn and want to color it? I don’t have dyes of a light, light green
I Missed it
How would you attach this (attach? Would that be the right word?) Onto a cloth?
How do I attach the yarn fur pieces to the object, in my case a boar head (Inosuke)?
Could you make a t rex base? Because i want to make one...but i need a tutorial without a moving jaw
When I make the head, do I have to put some fabric over the head and then glue/sew these yarn furs on it or can I straight up glue/sew on the foam?
can you make a video on how to put th fur on the mask
Which mask? I have no costume planned where I add it
You should show use to to fuse them
Fuse them to make longer strands? You know how? Tell me!
*not me just brushing it vigorously*
Can you use other brushes or does it need to bee fur brush
What if you don't have a pet brush and no money what could I use instead
This is very helpful, I could make something with this method. What kind of brush can you get it from?
A wire cat brush is what I'd recommend
In my fur suit I can't really breath that well so every time I wear it every ten muinites I need to take it off is there a way to fix this
The head or the whole suit?
Ok so what do i do if i dont hsve one of the pet things
I was looking for this EVERYWHERE. I can only find non hair-like yarn doll hair :/ . I want fluffy ear insides not lalaloospy!
can you make a kemono head?
Hey one question how can you put the fur together to make big fur to glue it on a foam base??
Sorry I haven't tried that yet
does anybody know how to make like a sheet of these little tuffs of fur? sorry to say, but I'm not rich like every body else so I can't afford faux fur and a hair straightener. but I do have a bunch of yarn left over from some plushies I made for a few friends
Ok but do we make it into those fur semi blankets that are cut into certain shape for the mask or suit.
should i ask my older brother for therian mask i am one
How would you make it a fabric fur?
Mine keeps breaking off Abit, does the wool type a problem?
OMG this is what I'm doing
how would you attach this to the head for hair? like an over the eye tuft
I still need to figure that out
Okay, so ks this for some fursuit hairs?
Im MADE AT YOU
