Sounds like the jet engine roaring, the famous jet-flanger sound. By using a classic BBD simulation circuit, , this flanger can deliver a deep and rich tone. Just ordered one. I messed up on buying a used DOD flanger that did not work. It cost more than this thing. I have learned a great lesson. Never buy used pedals unless you buy them from someone you know who owned the pedal and you would know if they abused it. Never make that mistake again. Cheers from Pennsylvania.
I too had a DOD flanger back in the early 90s. It sounded very tinny. This actually sounds good. I like how it doesn't keep looping when you switch it off. DOD flanger had this problem.

The Jet Convolution is more like the Electric Mistress flanger by EHX. That will get you more your classic flange sound by David Gilmour and Andy Summers. This flanger will be able to get you more your classic Van Halen flanger.
