Yeah, I'd like to get a bit more variety going. I'm thinking about doing some 'talking' style videos too at some point. Don't know what yet though lol. Like Top 10 Favourite Games, Top 10 Favourite Books, etc. Stuff like that 🤔
@ Just thinking stuff like that invites a bit of discussion, gets people talking in the comments about their own favourites, etc. I'll do one at some point and just see how it does 🤷♂
My goodness you are speedrunning this, I think a lot of the difficulty you encountered was because you rarely stopped running forward towards and past danger :D
@ReadyPlayerRyan funny enough, half life is more of a Run-Think-Shoot-Live kinda game (i think it's an official slogan?), anyway yeah its generally quite unforgiving unless you approach most situations with a plan
@@ReadyPlayerRyan My first time i also stumbled through the game, I's nothing rare or shameful. I do kinda wanna replay hl and its expansions with the whole RTSL mindset the video talks about, seems fun
Nope, this is not happening. The proper reaction to in-game audio "distracting" you while you are jabbering on is to stop said jabbering and listen instead. The developers did a great job establishing a game world, and that's a lot more important to an enjoyable gaming experience than your ramblings.
Sorry you didn't like it. But as it's a gaming stream I will talk (or as you put it, 'ramble' 😅) to myself or to chat while I'm playing. You're right though, the devs did do an amazing job with it. Revolutionary for the FPS genre and gaming in general. Thanks for watching anyways 🙏
@@ReadyPlayerRyan I guess it's my own fault for expecting, or at least hoping for, more from a stream session recording. A beloved game of mine meets one of the worst (as in worst for me) forms of content on the Internet. Not really a surprise to see the outcome; I should have stayed well clear. At least I bailed out before you even entered the Black Mesa test chamber, so not too much time was lost in the grand scheme of things. 😉
@At-Dawn-We-Ride Well yeah, I guess you've got to take some of the blame for daring to dream 😂 However, you like what you like, so no point in wasting your time watching something you don't. Hope you find that perfect Half-Life stream to satisfy your craving ✌
@ We all get only a single opportunity to experience a game for the first time. Mine (for Half-Life) was in 1998, and sometimes I get caught up in nostalgia and, lacking the means to turn back time, try to relive small aspects of this mindboggling game through the eyes of other people. I guess I felt disappointed that, from my point of view, you wasted your opportunity by making time for mindless chatter about Elon M. and similar nonsense (again, my POV) instead of focusing on the one thing which really mattered to me, i.e. the game itself. I hope that in the end you had fun anyway.
@@At-Dawn-We-Ride I completely understand where you're coming from. I enjoy watching people play some classic games that I love for the first time. I guess when I'm streaming a game, it puts a different experience on the playthrough for me, as opposed to me playing the game by myself. When I'm streaming, I'm lucky to have my guys that jump on, and we all just chat and have a laugh as they watch my awful gameplay - it's just how we do it here. (I don't claim to be a good gamer in the slightest lol; especially when it comes to FPS.) But don't think I don't appreciate the game. I always take a moment at the end of the stream to sum up what I've experienced, and note the facets of the game that I really enjoyed, etc. It's just that the stream for me is more about connecting with the people watching, I suppose. I do have a tendency to ramble (like now with this comment 😅), so I think it's a valid criticism, and I'll definitely take it on board! Again, sorry it was a buzz kill for you and left you feeling disappointed. Take care!
Hey, I just finished the video, and I can tell you improved towards the end, looking forward to the next part!
Ahh thank you! Appreciate you watching 🙏
Variety is really cool, very much love seeing you play random stuff alongside the horror

Thanks for the vid, I'll check it out!
