Today on "Second Inning with Manjot Kalra," we're joined by Ramandeep Singh. He hails from Chandigarh and has played for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy as well. He won the Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2024.
In this episode, Ramandeep talks about what it was like to play for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL and his personal cricket journey. Ramandeep also shares how he felt while lifting the IPL trophy for KKR. He also discusses the rigorous training procedure they had to go through and the role of their team coach in their success. Plus, he'll tell us about the rivalry that exists between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and KKR.
Who is Manjot Kalra?
Manjot Kalra is a former cricketer turned podcaster. He scored a match-winning hundred in the final of the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was awarded man of the match for the same. He has played for DDCA as an opener and in the 2018 Indian Premier League auction, he was selected by the Delhi Daredevils and in subsequent seasons by Delhi Capitals.
