I must have missed part one but I'll definitely be watching these later, I am a huge fan. I made a nice desert scene with two cacti using alcohol ink a while back. It might be my favorite medium
Unbelievable how the shading on left side of the trees and branches already give out an unmistakable 3D effect! This is a gorgeous project, Myriam . How many times will I say how impressed I am with your talent... plus your unsurpassed attention to all aspects of your teaching. Thank you for what you are giving us. Have a safe and lovely Thanksgiving.
Amazing 💙💙💙💙💙
What a fun double tutorial! That is just what I needed today. Thank you so much. You are really a wonderful teacher.❤️❤️❤️
Oh thank you very much Anne! I wish you lots of fun with this. 😊😘💕
Great videos (1 & 2). Thank you for sharing. It was a real learning experience from the masking (which I've been curious about for awhile but didn't know how to do) to the tree shading. Love your detailed info on this. Have ordered the shading stumps. Before your video, I hadn't a clue they were so useful !!! And creating a carbon bit on a separate piece of paper and using this to shade the trees is awesome information. I learned A LOT and really appreciate your expertise and sharing. THANK YOU.
I love your videos Myriam! Definitely going to try this when I get masking fluid.
You always inspire me. THANKS
That’s so awesome to hear... thank you Kimlee! 😊💕
I logged on today and was so excited to see a new presentation from you! This was a wonderful demonstration that I wish more students could see. Just sharing the idea of how to use the "stump" and apply it properly into a drawing. I used to see SO many students draw on their paper and use the stump directly on their drawing, not realizing they were smudging away the very lines that defined their drawing! This was very relaxing and easy to watch and makes me want to pull out all my drawing pencil supplies! lol! I hope you are well and staying healthy. Always a treat to hear your perspectives and see you work! Thank you for sharing yourself! Best wishes! ~ Mark
Hi Mark! Oh my gosh I was so happy to see a message from you. I can’t tell you how much your channel has influenced how I share on mine. I have undoubtedly watched many of your videos at least twice or possibly three times. Getting praise from you absolutely makes my day. I don’t consider myself an artist as much as someone who understands how things work so that’s what I share, to hopefully help those with less time or inclination to figure things out. To be honest, I’ve used the stump the “less good way” too, but find the way I used in this video much easier and more effective. I am happy to hear from someone with your experience that it’s worth demonstrating.
Life remains nutty and challenging but I have to believe there is normality in our futures. As always, I look forward to your next video and words of wisdom to help keep me feeling positive. Happy creating, and happy, happy holidays to you and yours my friend. Hugs! Myriam 😊💕
@@MyriamsNature thank you for such kind words! Big hugs and lots of love right back to you, my friend. Stay well and healthy! :)
Wake up... do a great video... make someone happy ... make someone smile.. wake up ... do a great video... make someone happy... make someone smile... wake up... make a.... You are soooo predictable.... ,,,,,,!!!!! Thanks again. !!! Love and peace to you this day and these holidays
😃 I loved this comment Catherine! Thank you! I will try to live up to that. May you and yours be blessed this holiday season. 😊💕
OMGosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You Are my Hero God has blessed you!!!! I am knocked completely out of my "SOCKS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean it I am bare foot!~lolhahahahaha I love you you are so much fun. I am 59 and you SO SO remind me of my Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Jerganson! She was fun like you!
This is awesome Myriam, between the shading and the small branches, they Pop off the page. Great tutorial. Happy Thanksgiving!
Hey Bonn 👋
Happy new year 🎆🎉
Can I ask you a question..?
This is so fabulous ! Reminds me of work I used to do in my old job as a scientific illustrator. Used carbon dust - true name! Make a small pile of dust by using the sanding block and apply with a small brush. Soft and delicate looking.
I love your videos!
I’d not heard of carbon dust before... it sounds like it would give a lovely soft effect. Thank you for the kind words and for teaching me something! Happy, happy holidays!! 😊😘💕
Great video as usual . I think I preferred it before you added tbe small branches. Great shading ...you always make things on so easy , which we know they're not .
Thank you Anne! This really is as simple as it looked... honest. I appreciate your kindness and feedback. 😊💕
This was my first visit to your channel and I am impressed! I've subscribed and will be watching alot more of your methods, especially the ones with alcohol inks, as they are a bit intimidating to me. Thank you !!
Hi Rita! Welcome to the channel. I understand being a bit intimidated by the inks but I hope that will not last long. It doesn’t take much of them to make something and they are wonderfully forgiving. Allow yourself to play and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Thank you for your kind words. Happy, happy inking! 😊💕
Myriam, I love your videos. They brighten my day. These trees are amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Melba 👋
Happy new year 💐❤️
Can I ask you a question..?

Oh thank you so much Dianna! 😊😘💕
As always, fabulous instructions! Learned about shading!! You are the best!!!
Amazing! You took a picture I already loved and made it real. The shading on the trees brought dimension and the branches perfected it. You are truly an amazing artist. I love watching you work! Happy Thanksgiving!
Oh my gosh... thank you so much Linda!! Happy, happy thanksgiving to you and yours! 😊💕
Hey Linda 👋

Happy holidays Miriam. Beautiful tree-scape. Stay positive and test negative.
Definitely the full shading rounds and makes the trees stand out. Thanks. This is really helpful.
Wow Wow wowwwza how amazingly talented you are M with a Y 😆 that is just another level of alcohol inks. Wait up, I'm still looking for the blender ♡♡♡
How fascinating thank you for this wonderful lesson.
Fantastic! Thank you for your inspiration and wisdom Myriam, I love all your lessons and have learnt so much ❤
VERY BEAUTIFUL....THE LEFT TREE OF COURSE LOOKS MORE UMPPPPFFFED UP. THANK YOU FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL VIDEOS :) CAN YOU DO A VIDEO WITH NORTHERN LIGHTS, PLEASE ?
That’s awesome! I liked it better without the little branches. I’m ok with the imperfections. Beautiful! You made that process feel more possible for me to achieve. Thank you!🙌🤩🌳
Ms. Myriam. I am so glad to have found your channel. I am learning so much from you on how to use my alcohol inks, what papers work best, etc. I haven't tried anything yet. I'm not home much due to my job. But I'm saving the videos that interest me. So thank you for sharing your knowledge. 🥰😊
Oh my gosh,,,, my mind is filled with so many different techniques I want to try,,, you’re so inspiring! And your giggles and laughs are the best part of your tutorials! Every time I do an oopsie,,,I hear your chuckle and it quickly calms me out of my panic,,,,I breathe, smile,,, and continue to keep trying,,,thanks to your wonderful videos,. I have one I am waiting for - with drawing gum to dry- but used on the flower pedals, and want to re work the background,,l have no idea where it’ll end up,,,, but I approach it with your “hope for the best” when experimenting the new stuff,,,,Art shouldn’t be frustrating all the time,, am I right ? I just wish there were a cheaper way to experiment,,,other than using yupo paper,,. I tried tiles,, and I don’t find they teach the same technique as you have with inks on the synth appears? So,, I wonder,,,do you have any other suggestions that’s good to test on,,, but closer to how yupo paper reacts with ink?
Looks great Myriam the shading made such a huge difference in making them look rounded. I didn’t realise you could use graphite pencil over AI to shade ! Thanks Myriam have a great thanksgiving ❤️❤️
You are a wonderful teacher, thank you. I am inspired! Have not yet used masking fluid, nor have I used craft plastic but am now going to try both!
I’d love to see more tutorials on how you paint landscapes. That’s what I’d like to see! I see it’s been over a year since you’ve made a video. Did you quit? I hope you will still are more I’ve finally decided to try it and there is a large learning. Are you doing anymore alcohol paintings? I hope so!!!❤
Love this idea! Thanks for showing us the easy things you do. Or maybe I should say you MAKE them look easy.
💗👍👀 2/8/22 I am amazed by your talent! Like your sense of humor too!
What a great tutorial! Your happy voice clearly explained each step. You made me feel like this was something I could successfully do.
I watched again...this is one of my favorites! 👍🏻😍
Beautiful I love your tutorials... does this process work as well on tile as on Yupo?
Thank you for this two videos. As always you are a great inspiration. Made me want to try inks again, do I ordered some masking solution, maybe it will help avoiding boo-boos. Have a great Thanksgiving, stay safe and be blessed.
Myriam thank you for this beautiful tutorial. I wonder if you can help, how far from yup must I hold my dover aft heat gun when trying to move my ink. I've even bought one of those rocket air blow thingys but my old hands can't make enough omph to move the ink, even with loads of 99% alcohol. Much love n blessings
So cool, the shadowing really makes such a huge difference
Wonderful ideas and art work, love your happy laugh.
You are an AWESOME artist and teacher !!!!
Thanks for the positive vibes and the inspiration. I made a nice piece of a seguaro cactus using alcohol inks. My projects are usually not that great but every once in a while I can make something nice. I bought some masking fluid and an applier for it to try out, thanks again for the ideas
Wow does that make the trees stand out! I love watching you and keep buying all the stuff you suggest, but I haven't gotten up the nerve to try anything!
It’s amazing❤ thanks for sharing, Mariam 🥰

If I could I’d give you 2👍🏻, 🌟 very artsy🤩
This is so pretty, can you do this same kind of shadowing effect with colored pencil?
Myriam, you just nailed it on this one! I loved how you did the shading,I really learned a lot. Shading is so important and something I struggle with so thank you so much. This was a really fun and informative session.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours💖💖👍🏻👍🏻

Same back atcha my friend💖👍🏻👍🏻
This was so inspiring!!! Have a great Thanksgiving!
Hi. Love your work. Can you share with me the proportion of ink and alcohol you use to thin out the paint? And also can you paint a beta fish in a tutorial?
It really was kind of jaw dropping to see how much a bit of shading added so much dimension to the trees. This is one of my favorites of your work. Thanks for sharing your tools and process. You are amazing.
Love both videos, you have such beautiful creative ideas.
Wow. Love how these flat lifeless trees came to life . Thanks for sharing.

💗👍👀 2/11/22
♥️
Love this painting! The shading is amazing in giving the trees more dimension. I didn’t see any boo-boos to fix, but I do love the thin branches you added last. Are you going to point out the boo-boos? It would help me a lot... 😉❤️
