I don't know how many times I have watched this video, but the A2 vs 88 hand is still crazy. It is even crazier when you discover that the A2 river check-shove against 2.5x overbet is actually gto play.
Okay I watched this all for the second time and there are some absolutely phenomenal plays toward the end. Two plays of the match for me were 38:10 Linus calls a 2x overbet into a 20K pot with AQ no pair, just amazing. 45:00 Berri calls a 9K pot with J high and no pair in his hand on a double paired board... Also 38:34 amazing calling a 2/3 pot bet into a 22K pot with third pair and a completed flush draw on the board. I did notice a kind of sizing tell on ace high and some high card boards not needing protection where especially Linus opt for 30% sizing more on turns with made hands and and go 80% or pot in similar spots trying to bluff Berri off. The biggest mistake I saw both players make, and not sure if these are just the hands selected, but noticed at least 6 hands where one player tried to bluff the river with absolutely nothing and no pair and selected sizing usually less than 25% up to 30%.... all six of those bluff attempts failed and I think 4-5 of the 6 would have worked if they had just bet half pot. Anyway, very fun to see and cool channel. It would be interesting to see a match too where one or both players hands are hidden or a match where half was hidden or something.
very arrogant to think you can say what is and isn't a mistake when watching the literal best players in the world. Especially when you have no idea whats going on
You don't see the bluffs working because it's filter out, this whole video is with both hole cards out so has to go to showdown. None of the bluffs are gonna work in this videos cause the ones that did, aren't in the video.
this is highlights where you get to see cards at showdown so how would a bluff work lol then it wouldnt be shown in the vid duh so how do you know their success rate with bluff sizes
basically if the board is double paired never bluff Berri lol. he will call you with Q high and even J high haha. interesting highlights. seemed like Berri ran better (at least from what i seen in these) but also attempted some pretty insane bluffs- the A2o river x jam was my personal favourite @16:47
Yo bro love your vids, not complaining but we didn’t have a GGpoker Omaha highlights recently and there have been some huge days the last few weeks,I really enjoy the face up ring game highlights with music in your past videos
Im obviously not on the level of these boys but i'm assuming that given Berri is just representing a flush here flush blockers are just the best calls. Llinus probably doesn't want to have the 9, T or A of diamonds given these are going to be Berri's best bluffs so it comes down to 8d, Qd, Jd. Given he's called that he probably thinks he's overfolding if he doesn't call here.
Berrisweet is losing value while bluffing and getting spots in which he gets called wider for that matter, cuz linus know he’s not value betting enough hands when polarizing while he still has all his bluffs
If you would sometimes swap the names with random and the limits with 2NL and the other way around, nobody would be able to guess which is which. Seems poker heads-up has become a game of chicken...
@alan james wood You probably don't understand his genius thought process. He's one of the best players in the world, you are personified dunning kruger. Go and play him and he will play you into bankrupcy.
There's a site which follows how much high stakes players are winning on pokerstars. Berri is winning 9bb/100 this year (2022) on pokerstars and one of the top winners on the site, Linus is nowhere to be found on the top winners list. Given almost all Berri's volume has been vs Linus heads up, that should give you a good picture.
Despite whatever logic and evidence to the contrary, I honestly feel I'd win over half the time against both these players. I guess that's what makes poker great. But seriously I don't know if their is tilting going on, yet I've played 7 dollar heads up games where the opponents seem a lot better for some reason.
@@iranawayfromiran yeah probably, i've watched a number of hands a second time and they make more sense the second. I'd like to see the whole unedited games. I definitely wouldn't be surprised to beat them or put heavy odds against myself in this structure.
@@iranawayfromiran well yeah I' play hyper HU pretty exclusively, played 500 dollar buy in games as early as 20 years ago, but yeah that would be the consensus opinion. Still not really that impressed too much, there's not always a wide margin if your decent at poker.
@@iranawayfromiran I'm only about half through but have rewatched all the hands about 3 times now, 14:47 the all in call with a5 against trip tens was horrendous, just kind of an ego play .... then Linus decides to make a 30% pot bet with 5 high after his open-ender misses 15:52 ... examples of nonsense plays all over the place, that bet is not even going to fold out pocket deuces or even ace high... 16:50 another punt all in with a2, that play would work deeper stack, but shows no awareness against Linus when he has to call 7K into 9.5K and it seemed pretty clear he had a pocket pair or quads, what on earth was he trying to get to fold out, a pocket pair, fives really?
I'm a beginner, but I think he understood that his hand was without sh.d value on the river. at the same time he has a lot of value hands in his range: 54 95сlubs ,Kx flush, fullhouses Q8o ,Q7o, T9 with club, so bluffs may be present. 87 is great candidate for this Linus can fold, A8-98 or pair without clubs qx should think too minimum
berry donks his 78 because he thinks linus has a high enough flush to raise him, on which he would jam, because he blocks most full houses. the reason why he thinks this might be the case is i suppose linus’ turn bet.
@@4Sight1010 @Mrperson662 Linus ain't folding a 'high flush' at that point, at best Berri was going to check-raise and rep a better flush, but doubt that also. He did the 1/4 pot as a "blocker" or maybe you can call it merge bet also. There's a 60% plus chance linus does not have a club and by purely checking he could get pushed off his hand easily by a near pot size bet even when he thinks he has showdown value....by initiating the modest bet, similar to something he could do for value with a nuttish hand, he thinks it is less likely he will be forced to fold to a pure bluff at a more polarized (much greater) amount. "Blockers" may seem suspect in theory, but they seem to work a lot in practice.
LLinus obviously better than Berri…Berri sweet punts every single hand and LIinus get coolered…I think overall LLinys is up against Berri atNLHE and losing in PLO

The bluff is not a mistake, is a trap on long run.
38:10 is not a 2x overbet since linus has less than a pot size bet behind him

Your videos are the best! Lost count on how many times I watched the last video of BERRI vs Makeboifin.
Music pretty good btw!
Seems like Berri has a read on Linus, as Linus tends not to fold with thin to medium value and is hyper-aggressive with such holdings.
compared to a solver they both are out of line sometimes, but that's heads up low rake environment. loose aggressive plays are a must
For the soundtrack alone I give it a thumbs-up.
Is this song (the first one) horrible at 1x speed or you slow it down so it can make sense on 2x speed?
