@@sglsoudure My pleasure 💪
Subscribed! Would love to see you play more, you sounds like you know ur stuff. Love the technicality of the game
Aah thanks Zach 🥊🙏🏼 2 weeks later, the games still great BTW. I actually have a very cool "underdog" fight breakdown out later today, so if you're bored 👀😎
My issue with the game is countering a opponent doesn’t feel worth it. I counter all day only to get knocked out by a hook spammer
I feel your pain, one bit of advice only choose top class legacy fighters in this game e.g. Well known names.
The spam hook you can counter with a left body jab, if you're left foot forward.. And a right jab standing still, it's money. When they spam They exhaust themselves.. So when tired.. Left jab, right hook. I'm 25 - 2 so far, only lost to spammers.. give it a try!
Literally just happened to me. Countered dude about 35 times in 2 rounds, yet he’s doing more damage just spamming left hooks over and over somehow. Game is in a very bad spot rn
@@mmainvesting7013 they'll nerf the exploit eventually.. However it can be topped with straights to the body, since it speeds up their drop in stamina whilst they spam
@@ClaimerUncut yeah just not when you’re fighting Robinson 😂
@@mmainvesting7013 haha he was my second loss.. I wasn't ready for his Matrix like abilities
I'm hoping it gets to the point where you *need* to put some work in to get results. A lot of people dislike fighting games because you can't just go in, mash buttons and have success. But that's exactly why they're so engaging.
Boxing is called The Sweet Science for a reason.
I'd say it's that point now, button mashing Tryhards will always exist. I'm doing a series playing as the underdog against overpowered fighters. Look out for my Joe Frazier vs Muhammad Ali fight breakdown ✊🏽🙏🏼
At the same time, I want to have fun playing a boxing game. I dont want to pick up a second job spending 300 hours learning to be good enough to have fun in a video game.
@@josereyes1148 let's not conflate now 😅✊🏼 I don't think anyone's suggesting 300 hours, but the game offers players with high perks for players perhaps like yourself who want to jump in with the chance to out jab and out KO a skilled opponent. Sadly from my perspective that's 95% of players so far.
@@ClaimerUncut I see games like that all the time. I like basketball. Go play online and it's filled with people who play all day everyday. Like 5 to 6 hours a night for months. I have no chance vs them. They talk about having to "grind" so that your my player is even usable. Sorry, sometimes I just want to play a game. I don't want to have to be dedicated to it like a job. It's a video game.
@@josereyes1148 I hear ya man, I'm not saying you're wrong in that context. However.. 😄 the great thing about a simulated fighting game (without the exploits) The main learning curve is precision, timing and distance as opposed to complicated combinations or learning every punching technique.. these are all cognitive abilities an average person to adapt to. I hear ya though! 👍
Bro.. I didn't know you did reviews too, this is high quality
Don't get me wrong this is still a great game and it's still on early access, I think given time it will be worthy successor to fight night
I feel the same way, the game deserves its criticisms, especially regarding punch impact - it hasn't improved enough since last year's beta showcase ✊
Feel the same way just depends on the developers how badly they want it to succeed
@@bigfistdante3483 I think it depends on the shareholders and the budget they're willing to put in now the game is getting notoriety. I think an issue which would be low effort to fix.. Is zapping cardio when you spam punches
@Claimer Uncut facts though Some developers do want to put the work in sometimes they just don't have enough money. I hope this game gets the eyes it deserves
Nah, commentary is horrid. "IDK who's winning the fight", when you're winning 10 out of 12 rounds. Hit marker is soooo bad. Punches go through with no contact at all... 👎
You just got your 500th subscriber here. I love the review. It's smart and thought out. People reviewing this either want to unabashedly praise this game or "be tough on it" to set themselves apart from the crowd, but offer poor or no insight. This was balanced and just not clickbaity. Love it.
Aah thanks FB, the big 500 🎊 yeah I think that's a benefits of not being a monetized channel scraping for the latest trends, I'm a fighting game enthusiast so I've been keeping a close eye on this game since its beta trailer 2 years ago. Thanks for the sub man, I'll have some technical online play breakdowns on the way, as well as tips, comparisons to past boxing games.. Additionally if you're a fan of classic games being enhanced, check out my main channel @Claimer_YT welcome aboard ✊🙏🏼
Had to come back to this review for your Roy Jones breakdown at the end, still better than the big channels trying to showcase him now
Yeah thanks man, I'm not gonna lie.. I'm just not impressed with the matches larger channels are showcasing, that's the nature of youtube. I'm sure there are tons of smaller channels with technical players out there!
Wow! The clips of your fight were amazing, would love to see more content of you breaking down your fights and going into further detail on mechanics, strategies, etc.
I'm trying to get better at the game myself and have had no luck finding good quality Undisputed informational content until I stumbled across yours.
Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work ! 👏👏
Hey thanks Al, I'm 27 - 2 so far.. So that's the plan. I'm trying to play as the underdog against overpowered fighters going forward. Next release will be a full breakdown of Joe Frazier vs Ali, keep an eye out ✊
*informative
Thank you for this review Claimer Uncut. Good job :)
I've been watching this game far from afar and I appreciate the developers taking their time with this game because I assume they know how long we've been waiting for the next great boxers game since Fight Night Champions.
I would like to play it myself to form my own opinion about the game honestly but I appreciate you taking the time to breakdown Undisputed
All I'd like to know is which system is it available to purchase and play?
Hey C1M, thanks ✊🏽 you can purchase it for PC via Steam, but since this review they've had some issues with cheaters online. I personally.. Think its still worth buying since its cheaper for now, because. Most of the community offer the devs constructive criticism through the process.. But your call!
@@ClaimerUncut appreciate that fam thank you👍
Looks amazing. Pls do more content.
Great video.
Also, how would you compare this stage of the game to your favorite Fight Night game(s)?
Thanks Zota,
If comparing at this stage, I've had many technical fights so far (check out my latest showcase as the underdog vs Ali) and I genuinely feel in control of my gameplan and have the ability to adapt. This I believe compares well with FN4 and Champions.
The major problem with Undisputed, is it's ragdoll physics which don't quite gel right, punches lack impact and twork.. and this is where Fight Night shines.. However the devs are releasing patches daily, so i hope by March they can refine this.
Is it worth the purchase right now, 100% yes if you're willing to put in the work to fight in a simulated fashion, if you're going into it throwing haymakers whilst your feet are off the ground, you'll dislike the simulated nature of it.
What is the name of the song!? Holy moly I need that info! :) Great vid!
Great review. Looking forward to the games port to console. I personally would appreciate more videos on gameplay and strategy
Hey thanks Rob, if you haven't already check out my fight breakdowns where I play as the underdog and meticulously breakdown my strategy for the win ✊🏽
Great breakdown keep us updated on the game
Will do P ✊
2:45 u can also step forward and jab at the same time and of course directional punches with all other punches
Yeah that's true Mo, but the element isn't quite the same. It's early days.. Looks the the dev are fixing issues already
earned a sub mate great video
Hey thanks Editing Journey 🙏🏼 glad you enjoyed ✊🏼
Thank you so much, you listed all the issues i had with the game but intelligently and expressively i wasnt able to get these points over in my steam review but we share the same issues. One significant issue that i don't think you mentioned was the games blatant disregard for well landed shots i feel like sometimes ill land a perfectly clean power jab or 1-2 or land continuous clean power right hands but the game doesnt seem to care much at all its so heavily weighted to the counter playstyle that it doesnt reward well picked shots that aren't counters but just clear openings.
I really want this game to succeed but i think it has a long road ahead. Subbed btw excellent video!
Thanks Duppy 🙏🏼 agreed on lack of power jab impact. I had terrence Crawford walking me down with no head movement and I through 2 well placed power jabs in a row, it only stunned him once I through the third with a sidestep. It's almost like the dev made. Conscious decision that it would be too easy to defeat an opponent with power shots so only make them count when countering, however if your stamina is high and its well placed it should count!
No one gets knocked out by a jab in real life throw more combinations
@@crisisakagod First of all... that literally isnt true, secondly im not asking for jabs to knock people out im asking for clean landed power jabs to have some kind of impact like stopping people walking straight onto to, if you walked at me in real life and i stiff jab you right in your mouth you're not gonna walk right through it. No one said jabs should KO although any good shot can put someone down.
@@crisisakagod Nah bro, Kell Brook, Chris eubank Jr, Liam Williams, Golovkin.. To name a few who have tkos and ko's with the jab.
No one's saying they want a KO with a jab, but if someone's running into an opponent hands down, there should be consequences.
ive been stopped by jabs before its in the game were they hit a power jab and my character is stunned for a second but not every jab is gunna have the same effect maybe up that animation chance a bit to make it more fair for the out boxer
Amazing review dude, nailed it!
Hey thanks Marcel, appreciated ✊🏽🥊
Great review. Will keep my eye on this game!
Thanks AJ, I've followed up on this vid quite a bit. Currently the devs are having fighter balancing issues and an influx of Cheaters online ruining the game 🤷🏽♂️, however an update should be out soon, stay tuned ✊
They need to fix the split second lag when you're trying to leave the pocket. I feel like blocking should count a bit more. Plus the jabs and uppercuts need to have much more range on them.
Agreed, I've been stung by phantom punches at times, and the uppercut.. Specifically when you're a taller fighter lack power. Hopefully dev are listening to feedback, since the game has a ton of potential
I'm quietly hopeful for this. Played one of the FIght Night's on a friend's XBox years and years ago (I have no idea. More than 15 years ago!) and really liked it. Have not seen a boxing game on PC which I felt matched it. Undisputed LOOKS like it will be the one for me, though from your review it still has a way to go - which I'm fine with.
What do you think of the control system? Does it give you enough control of your fighter, while still being intuitive enough, to allow you to "form a connection" with the onscreen presence? Hope you know what I mean!!
Hey Al, roughly 15 years ago sounds like you played fight night 2004 which was my fav. Undisputed is a technical game meaning it takes a little while to adapt to, so it's not for everyone, however I'd suggest taking a glimpse at some of my breakdown matches where I play as the underdog with commentary, one example:
ua-cam.com/video/xk4fpJwQv1Q/v-deo.html
Because you'll be able to determine if there's strategy involved or if it's rockem sockem robots!
I wasn't sold until your fight at the end.. that's crazy
Haha good job I showed the fight which allowed me to showboat
Excellent review!
Hey thanks Laughing man 😁✊🏽🙏🏼
4:21. Sheesh.. that's the same body shot that put Virgil Hill on a colostomy bag.
very well done on this video
Hey thanks Andre's ✊
Good breakdown. I'm enjoying the single player against Intermediate AI... not quite ready for online :)
Thanks Fuzzy, You'll find online easier!
I bet you're having to throw one shot at a time because A.I counter block or having to excessively block body shots?
Give online a whirl man, you'll be surprised.
The AI is a mixed bag.. It does adapt, I appreciate that. But the block counter basically stunts your play. You can't practice combos since they'll counter after the first shot, so you end up just throwing jabs and hooks stepping back. Online atleast is competitive because some people can't play at all!
@@ClaimerUncut Yeah the AI counter shot on intermediate is absolutely ridiculous but I noticed it's way better if you turn it up to pro.
great review man
Hey thanks Vingenzo
Excellent video. Can’t wait until the polished version makes it to consoles!
Thanks TIA, the good news is Dev team released a major update fixing many exploits, an indicator these guys care are fully capable ✊🏼
Love the video man. Looks like you had some pretty good fights. You were spot on with all the things that need to be fixed but I'm glad to see you enjoying the game and having such good fights. You totally understood what I feel like a ton of people don't understand about playing the game and that's playing it with a sort of realism. So many people just like to spam punches and it makes for such uninteresting fights. Hopefully the devs fix that.
Hey thanks Chronic ✊ let's see how the devs respond over the coming months to customer feedback, I'm invested either way, I'll test the waters on my chan over this month with online match breakdowns where I can also highlight bugs and exploits
If the devs are serious about making a simulation boxing game, they'll implement things that actively discourage spamming. Such as lower stamina making punches slower/weaker and increasing the damage you take.
Once people realize that spamming is detrimental without actually eating counters, they'll either quit or stop doing it.
@@View619 Well, here we are. Introduced 'Arm Fatigue'. Repeated punches from the same hand will begin to slow. This is further impacted if the punch type is also repeated. Players using repeated same-hand punches should see noticeable fatigue in the punch speed.
Great vid!
Thanks Rawle
My #1 thing with all these combat sport games are the stamina system!!! No fighter who's hurt or has low stamina should be able to hit you with one punch and ko you if YOUR stamina bar is still high..if that system is on point I'm buying
Good detailed critique
That was VERY disappointing to see those wide looping hooks in the in-fightng sequence.. but great Review 👍🏾 and hopefully we'll get a polished version for console release 😀
Hey thanks BeaKon ✊🏽the game has it's flaws for sure.. but I'm not alone in saying, 2 weeks playing this game.. I'm actually preferring it to Fight Night now
@@ClaimerUncut that's reassuring
I'm so stoked ...I have it downloading now!
Haha glad you're excited.. However just a warning! I've created plenty of follow up videos since this one 😅 whilst the game still has great potential, the developers are currently coping with a rise in online cheaters ruining the game, and fighter exploits they need to fix, either way it's still a great fame with a ton of potential.. And they plan on releasing a big update hopefully within the next 2 weeks ✊😎
@Claimer Uncut playing it for an hour or so and I see what you are saying ...hope the update comes sooner than later but still a somewhat fun play single player, thanks for the response now I gotta check out the other videos.
@tolishaws is it worth buying?
I’m holding out until they have a good career mode on it fingers crossed they nail that aspect
They have every reason to be able to make the best campaign ever, since the game is made by Steel City, who are based in Steel City where a lot of British Champs were created from nothing, rags to riches..etc
The game has potential but its the little things that matter and you pointed some really good ones out in this video that i couldnt put my foot on. I want this game to succeed so hard, but I wont pay the price of admission until it feels less awkward and spammy.
Agreed, the devs are updating regularly so I have high hopes
Love the review.
Much appreciated, this was the vid which kicked off my channel 😊✊🏽
I hope as updates roll in . Issues will be fixed . At the moment it’s no fight night champion.
It certainly has a long way to go, however.. the more I play online (bugs aside) it's not that far off
That looks like the most Roy Jones like gameplay i've seen yet
Thanks
Hey thanks KJ, I try man😁 you might like my Frazier vs Ali Technical Breakdown, check it out sometime ✊🏽
There hasn't been a good boxing game since Fight night, that's like 30 years old! This needs a campaign bad tho
And the campaign is coming
Fight night didn't come out when I was 2... wtf haha the only computers out were like omiga.. way b4 pc, ps1 or n64.. I got a megadrive when I was like 5 and n64 when I was like 9
fight night 1 was out when I was like 14.. b4 fightnight I had knockout kings and ready to rumble.
Fight Night Champion was awesome tho?
Woah Knockout Kings.. the mechanics considering it was for PS1 were revolutionary back then
I'm guessing you mean since Fight night Champ Champ.. cuss that game, specifically it's story was legit great.
Do they have all the belts in the game WBC,ibo, IBF?
I'm honestly not sure you know.. At the moment there's little focus on belts, just the option to play one off matches
Hit detection needs work as well as the hit impact.
Agreed, luckily the Dev are making updates quickly! My latest vid goes through the changes available now
Is this PC only or can you play on M1 MacBook?
Pretty sure it's pc only for the time being ✊
id like to see more of this
I'm gonna do a series, playing the underdog and showcasing how to beat fighters with high perks like Roy Jones, Ali, and Fury - Episode 1 out tomorrow 🫡
I’ve only watched videos but I haven’t seen fights where a boxer was kept at the end of a jab. Seems like the walk through the jab.
Yeah, you have a power jab if you Hold LB, which can potentially rock an opponent if they enter. It's just easier to read and parry
The foundation for a good game is there but it needs alot of work, on the movement its kind of a gimmick, all that fancy footwork dont really work when you play it, still needs smoothing out and the hit box's on the charcters are not on point yet. But its got a chance to be really good if the keep improving it.
I dunno man, whilst the game has alot of issues.. Mainly lack of impact when you land and bad animations. I actually think the hitbox is mostly on point.. Because you have to line your feet with a moving opponent to land flush. The smooth movement footwork, is great for mental games too.. And planting your feet is vital for throwing well timed shots in that mode
@@ClaimerUncut Yeah you can see what they want to achieve and the core is there for sure, just needs a bit more work.
Are the controls comparable to Fight Night? The one on PS3 felt excellent.
Hey Vlad, yeah very much so - Plus you can customize to your preference
@@ClaimerUncut that's great. Thanks.
There are so many high quality indie games in early access. Some even by a single developer. There is still too much missing this far long in development and as excited as I was for 2yrs I have to pass for now.
We're on the same page man, I have past vids talking about how early access is taken advantage of. I can only assume this started out as a small dev team who showcased a demo using the Unreal Engine, and once they received backing they may have had to catch up skill wise with expectations.
The punching kinda looks like rockem sockem robot toy does it feel that way?
Haha at times, 100% yes. they're using rag doll physics and if a played stands still and throws.. It kinda replicates what that would look like with no wind up
It's good but has issues.u can't punch on the backfoot backing up . The animations are not there for going forward and going back only standing up straight. It's missing these animations. Also the way the head bops back everything there is a shot is unrealstic
First person I've seen using good footmovement and spacing. Most walk right up to the opponent, but you step to the side properly. Been wondering how much this game can mimic real boxing.
Thank you man, I appreciate this because I share your sentiments.. those promoting the game with low fight IQ will give people the impression the game is broken
What is the background music?
I love the game, but people are not just having issues because they are not spending enough time with the game. The major bug I have an issue with is the scoring and how damage doesn't seem to matter to the judges. I had this issue with Fight Night Round 3 I think, where you could win a match on the scorecards just by throwing 10 punches a round and landing 7 or 8 but if your opponent was boxing normally and landing at even a 1% last percentage you would win the round. I also remember this from an old SEGA game I think it was called Boxing's Greatest Heavyweight where I found this same cheesy mechanic and was able to beat all of my friends. This just shouldn't happen in a modern boxing game and needs to be addressed. I myself have only lost one match in Undisputed but do not enjoy having to cheese punch percentage to win matches. I grew up in combat sports. Power punches and damage have to be taken into account in scoring. Currently, you can land twice as many punches as your opponent but land at 2% less and lose every round. That is poor balancing.
I think the game looks and plays great. I don't even mind OP Fury and Jones but the balancing has to get better. We have to be honest with our reviews. I have seen poor matches online where guys are out landing guys by a lot and landing a higher percentage of their power punches, but a few percent less on overall punch count and losing the fight. That is not realistic. My only loss came in a match where I was using Wilder and landed 61% of my power shots, and landed twice as many total punches as my opponent but he landed a slightly higher percentage of his total punches. That's poor judging even for a boxing game.
Agreed, although interestingly the commentators mention mid fight, some judges subjectively score on power and damage, others on points, however.. I agree and sadly it falls In favour of the left hook spammers who keep you at bay, throw with mid power, and also rack up points. Anything I missed in this game was not intentional btw, I thought it was a scam! I actually created this review because I got called out in a comment section for not playing the game whilst spreading a bad narrative, so I purchased the game, was pleasantly surprised.. However I haven't played it long enough to find these issues I guess.
Looks like the dev are releasing patches almost daily, so hopefully we find a balance ✊ I'll do a follow up review either way in march
@@ClaimerUncut I get it. It is a technical choice they were going for to make the game more realistic and make players use strategy, but it's far too easy to cheese, and online players are great at finding things like that. I personally don't play online. I want this issue fixed for when the game gets career mode. They have even nerfed Canelo's speed so you have to use him this way to win if you play with him. It works great if you use some of the faster fighters like Roy or Ali, but that creates a bad meta for online where everyone will be picking, Fury, Ali, or Roy.
Great breakdown and yep every fighter fights different in the game
Thanks Rain, and I think that's the key to finding enjoyment in the game. Fight with Ali as Ali would fight in real life, and you'll get the most out of it
If we buy the early access
Will we have to buy the full game again?
Nah, once bought you own it fully for that price
Good video but I really wanna know who Carl "Frock" is 🤣
Haha dude I do this all the time, and when I upload the video I'm like... Aah f*ck it know one will notice 😁
My last video Joe Frazier vs Ali, I did the same thing "Frasier" 🤷🏼♂️
Good review
Hey thanks Mitch
I hope they add to the hugging system...the characters just completely stop what theyre doing...other than that it's really really good!
Yeah I purposely zoomed in on that part 😅 there really should be a back and forth where you can sneak in hooks and the referee steps in to pull you apart
@@ClaimerUncut I also hope we can change arenas in Quick Fight too...I'm sure that's coming soon thougj
I love this sim and it will only get better with time.
Agreed ✊🏽The potential's there
I've had the game 10 days and can't even get a fight to connect, got pc in same room as router, ethernet cable going from back of harddrive into WAN ethernet port on back of router, got 4k monitor, altered the In game settings from high to low just to try secure a better connection but still nothing, just disconnects after 25 mins of trying 🤷♂️
That's odd man, have you tried using mobile data, create a mobile hot-spot to see if it has to do with your ip
Power shots to the body need to do more damage I landed 156 power body shots to his 10 power shots in total and still had a full tank
Hmm.. I dunno man, who are you playing as? If you want.. look out for my video tomorrow, I play as a weaker character but I'm able to KO opponents with 1 timed punch, jabs, and tko with bodyshots all due to my playstyle.
It looks like 90% of the match is spent at close range. Neither Froch or Jones Jr were inside fighters.
My brief time with the beta was frustrating cause the movement was terrible and the controls sluggish, and it looks like (as was the issue with Fight Night) maintaining distance and outboxing an opponents is hard to do.
Look out for a Nigel Benn showcase on thursday, I demonstrate how to stick and move in a few of the match ups ✊🏽 I'd say it's leaps and bounds ahead of fight night at this stage
You play very well
Thanks Rtx
I had my doubts. Usually when a game looks this beautiful graphic wise, it sacrifices gameplay. I don’t know why. It’s like it’s rare that a game has both.
I have seen boxers just walk into punches, such as jab not all punches stop boxers In their path
Yeah it's an issue.. If there's no deterrent then people will continue to spam
Will this be available for xbox?
Hey Arran, yeah once they iron out the bugs
Does it have career mode yet?
Nah not yet JC, they're having issues with online cheaters at the moment, so I think that's their priority
There are still a number of issues, i have lost a lot of fights since the update to phantom knockdowns, where i have been the other side of the ring and not even hit and been knocked down
Funny you mentioned that, did you get hit to the body by any chance and 3 seconds later take a knee? That's the only similar knockdown I've given to an opponent, but I assumed it was delayed reaction
@@ClaimerUncut No I wasn't hit at all, my guy just fell over knocked out for no reason at all, I also got punched out of the ring in another fight . None of this was happening before the update
@@Dillinja2017 that's crazy lol.. Man I hope these devs spend the next 3 months ironing out all issues
I've had a few instances where I get rocked when I'm the one landing a punch. Happened twice in the same match.
@@ClaimerUncut There Servers Are Baddd
is it out on console yet?? if not when is it coming out on xbox??
Hey Bruno, no not yet.. Likely to come out on console I reckon end of 2023
If you buy the beta on pc can you get it for free on ps3 when the full game come out
You mean PS5 right?
@@ClaimerUncut yea my fault
Rocky Marciano, jack Johnson etc
I'll wait for the next iteration, because those body shots by Deontay Wilder are ridiculously slow. Great review tho.. professional quality
When does it come out on ps5
Hey Anwar, I think they're trying to iron out the bugs first on PC, but they've mentioned mid 2023
I just really think this could be the best boxing game with undisputed 3d graphic models and fight night champion gameplay
You know what's funny JB, if you play Fight Night Champion on an emulator on PC, at times it looks better than Undisputed.
I think all the issues is the main reason why they bring it out on PC first before the main consoles so they can update and tweak it and have it ready!
Exactly! better to iterate on one platform then deal with a host of other bugs with only a small team 🫡✊🏽
🥊 Here are the *TOP 5* Fighters we need to include to the Game ua-cam.com/video/cB-lHRvCB1I/v-deo.html
Fight Night remains supreme, but this could compete when they fix the rag doll physics
@@itisyepigeon7420 Yeah there's alot to fix to even compare at the mo... but for what it is.. I'm enjoying it
The only area where they can compete with Fight Night is graphics. Everything else is sadly 10 years behind.
@@ClaimerUncut the game was called ESBC since 2019 so 4 years ago Not 2 then changed last year in 2022
@@sauroncro xD
I have it on steam and have played about 10 matches. Still a lot of work to do before it is even close to contending with Fight Night Champion. Graphics are ok but as far as physics go it just isn't there yet. Flash knockouts appear to just happen randomly and doesn't seem to be any strategy to it. Frame skipping is there and punches do not register do to this. Stamina decreases a little to fast and allows for some crazy comebacks as all you do is let them throw a few punches and then just attack when stamina is low and you will knock someone down fairly easily. It shows promise but still has a ways to go. But at this point I felt I needed to support any developer willing to make a new boxing simulator. Here is hoping they continue to develop the game more before it is ready to be fully released.
Hey Dot, to be fair.. and I'm not challenging you on bias, I'd say give the game a few more tries. Some of the things you mentioned, as a keen player myself, there is reasoning behind the execution. Good man for supporting the Devs though, I just hope they can fix enough of the bugs before the game gets a bad rep!
@@ClaimerUncut I gotcha man. I haven't given up on the game yet. Just wanted to say what I felt needed to be addressed and I'm sure a lot of things will be improved before the final release. I've been a boxing fan my entire life and fan of boxing games since punchout on NES and contender and fight night on ps1 days. Undisputed shows a ton of potential. Here's hoping the devs unlock that potential.
The last boxing game I played was fight night 2004 for the xbox and one of the funniest things in that game was the late shots. If you timed it properly you could hit your opponent with multiple bombs as they are going down and if they got caught on the ropes during that barrage god help them.🤣🤣 It doesn't seem as though you can do this in this game lol
Believe it or not, you catch someone in the right spot you can knock them out the ring 😂 check out my Eddie Hall vs Wilder fight
I remember this! That was one of my favorite parts of that game, now devs don’t care about these little things that makes the game great…. Fight Night Champion was good but boring compared to old ones, just because of the rag doll physics….
@@user-Chikotillo I had a David Tua character I made and had all his stats maxed out. I would try to get them against the ropes and time a perfect one punch drop in the very first rounds while my energy and stamina were high and then brutally beat the crap out of them. I would then replay the highlights and laugh my ass off.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t forget the elbows to the face as the bell was ringing at the end of the round …. Or the haymakers to downed opponent.
Fnr3 best boxing game ever with some very talented players. You knew you were good when you played this game and beat the best regularly
What happened to Esports boxing club game?
This is the same game, they just changed the name a few months back ✊🏽
good vid
Thanks man ✊
PC only for now?
Yeah until they iron out some bugs
How does a boxing game that’s been in development this long not allow you to throw a step in jab?
It "kinda" does have a step-in jab holding forward.. but yeah, it's not quite the fencing style step in which has been implemented better by the competition.
I only have 1 question, can all punches be thrown with the sticks only, im still only a fan of fight night 1 n 2. Even back then i fought in the stick lobby, button mashers not needed, period.
You'll need the rb shoulder button for increased power shots, but other than that sticks are more or less the same as fight night, however.. You can use the buttons too.. Which weirdly, I ended up using despite being a long term fight night player, but sadly that is where the left hook spamming is coming from for sure.
@@ClaimerUncut they will need stick only lobbies. Never fought in the button masher lobbies
@@calvinp36ify Good news Yarashalem, game updates ua-cam.com/video/kCOxHNCskp0/v-deo.html
@@ClaimerUncut thx checking it out now
Ok so I've watched a few reviews, and although the gameplay at the end almost convinced me to get it, I'm gonna wait until they release another update. Because some of the other fighters outside of Roy Jones honestly look terrible, and I don't think you deny that. But I wouldn't spend 24.99 to play as 3 or 4 people and fight 3 or 4 characters online. With that being said.. I still think the game is a scam, but great review my dude.
Yeah the longer i play it, the more faults i find tbh.. I can pick my shots against an opponent spamming.. thinking they're getting tired, and they're able to still knock me down.. very frustrating. Follow up vid after their next updates to see if it's improved for sure
Not sure about the online roster now because they did take out a few because of people having matchaking issues, but in the offline play there's like 50 fighters. But I can't disagree with the way you feel I wouldn't spend the money unless you're absolutely dying to play a new boxing game, that's the only reason I did lol. But I'm having quite a bit of fun with it so far just playing offline. They definitely do have a ton of work to do so hopefully they come through within the next year. They already released two updates since the time of release and they're always open and honest about things so I wouldn't so much go with the word "scam". It may be a bit overpriced for some, but I think it's far from a scam.
How does it compare to fight night champion? That game is probably the best boxing game ever made.
Just play fight night champion on Xbox 1 using the gamepass it's so worth it
I'm sure people do that, although it runs better on ps3 to be fair.. But don't You don't think this game has potential?
@@ClaimerUncut of course, I can't wait until it gets good.
Nice vid the games looks awesome but I will have to wait for console release
Hopefully by then, it's been refined.. See you online in cross play bro ✊
Wow you make this game look better compared to these streamers. Still looking forward for the final outcome of this game before getting one. Thanks for this review bruh
Hey thanks 1Gian, I think streamers just jump from game to game.. fighting games are almost in my DNA. If you wanna see a technical fight, check out my latest vid as the Underdog vs Ali
@@ClaimerUncut thanks for redeeming roy jones on this game. This video is dope! These streamers playing roy jones hurts my eyes. Thought the game just sucked. Earned yourself a subscriber here mah man ✌️
@@1gian7 Haha thanks man, It seems my Undisputed coverage is getting alot of appreciation, so I guess I'm gonna have to get to work!
When is this game coming out??
It's out now in early access on pc for now, consoles no confirmed date
Not often you find an honest review on this game.
Game has its charm, and there's definitely a market for it rn. But it's not close enough to where it needs to be for me to recommend it to anyone else. Especially if they already have fight night.
I would say 2 weeks later, the mechanics are better than Fight Night, and if Online Play is your thing especially as a PC gamer - we now have an option, however.. as of recent the game has an issue with Cheaters, and if they don't fix it sadly I don't think they'll maintain their audience
@@ClaimerUncut it's too arcade spammy for my liking. I can see what they were aiming for, just missed the target. The dev inexperience and limited budget really shows.
@@cyttorak_nz true, they may have shareholders on their back forcing them to cater to Casuals sadly.. Time will tell, its in early access
Will it come to console? Thanks 👍🏻
Hey Chilli, it will be available on ps4, ps5, xbox one and xbox series X, however a date hasn't been confirmed yet!
@@ClaimerUncut ok thank you. It looks awesome, defo will get it when on console
About damn time..
10 years later
am i the only one dealing with mad input lag and ghost inputs sometimes ill throw a combination and one shot comes out
Sup Kangz, so when you throw punches make sure your feet are planted. I find in heat of battle I'm throwing and nothing happens, but it's due to me not planting my feet
This game is 🔥, it’ll get way better before it hits console though. It’s got bugs thoooo
Agreed ✊ but if the devs don't fix key issues, I can't see it getting a great reception on consoles
Needs a career mode and character customization 1000pct, Especially for the people that's playing the game that has country Wi-Fi
Yeah for sure, if I didn't have access to Wifi I'd give the game a miss entirely since the A.I will block counter and hit to the body throughout, even if it's not that fighters playing style
@@ClaimerUncut I mean some people don't even like to play online anyways even if they have good Wi-Fi
@@mysunsburneraccount2076 it needs a solid career mode, even though I play online.. Fight night champion, def jam vendetta are my favourite career modes.. If they could do something similar in the British scene, I'd be blown away
Undisputed is basically Fight Night Round 4 with enhanced graphics, it can't hold a match to Fight Night Champion which is 12 years and 2 consoles older.
Come on Bro, be positive 😄 I'm a fight night fanatic, and the more I play this game.. i prefer it already. Have you played Undisputed yet honestly??
@@ClaimerUncut
I did, but its so slow compared to Fight Night champion, which to me is an all time boxing game.
Hopefully the final version of Undisputed is something levels above the beta
@@RhodesianSAS-gn4qp Aah ok, well they did release an update 3 days ago increasing speed of some punches.
It's worth acclimating to the game for at least 10 matches because the "slow pace" might be because punching relative to movement is more realistic, meaning you may throw a punch with one foot on the ground, and it waits for both feet to settle to release the punch.
@@ClaimerUncut
Thanks for the info I will look into it, it's interesting because in Fight Night Champion you used to get knocked down or atleast stunned immediately if you tried to punch while not standing firm or you strained your fighter stamina
Awesome, been way too long since that last fight night game and lets face it EA games sucks. I am wondering if I should do the early access or just wait for the full game; I love character creation and career modes so maybe I will wait for those. Now all I need is a NHL Steam game and my life will be complete. lol
Haha, well 2 weeks later I'm still having alot of fun with the game. I'm hesitant to recommend quite yet.. However maybe check out one of my actual fight breakdowns (Ali vs Frazier or Brook vs Canelo) since it will showcase the nuances, and should help you decide on a purchase or not! ✊🏽
Early Access, at $29.99 . if you want a boxing game the game is a steal. Make sure you have an SSD, or you will have roughly 5 minute loads.
