Avril is one of the 30 greatest singers of all time,such a legend man,super amazing (And I don't know why people don't like so much her newer stuff from 2008 till now. I think every single song of hers is crazy good...just without the bad words 😂 I hate bad words in songs)

i feel like Hot is one of the best songs avril did for us fans...t was so naughty and cheeky. what i like about Avril the most (speaking as a fan who has followed her from the begining pretty much) is how the second you think she can't do something...like a new style of music or a new secondary career beside her music...she does it. she is not someone to call out and challenge.

Ah yes, 3rd album "The best damn thing". She was about 23yo back then, still seeing this sends me back to 2002, 11yo me digging Complicated on the radio during the summer before my 1st high school year (probably 8th grade in the US).

Because a few seconds ago, I got the information that one album later ("Goodbye Lullaby") Avril took the lead of the production. Any by the way: When this Song (Hot) was released, also her clothing ehm...design...wearing...stuff...company thing has already started.

So take this with a grain of salt, because I am not quiet sure - but the first thought I had was.. I remember that Avril was quiet a great guitarist, piano player and also a great drummer yet at the age of 17 - 18. While singing one song, she could also play the piano and in the middle of the song she stood up and and a few seconds later she was playing the drums without any problems while she kept singing all along. So...like I said - take this one with a grain of salt.. BUT: This track was released in 2007.. So we are talking about a time range when Avril was 7 years already in business.. And I would'nt be surprised if Avril also did her part on the producing to a degree...and I also would not be sursprised, if it was not only a "small" degree.. This woman is such a beast of a talent..... There's nothing what could sursprise me anymore.
