  • Akash Manoj had not heard of 'silent' heart attacks till his grandfather passed away. He vowed to invent a device that would help people at risk.
    After three years of research, while still being in high school, he unveiled a novel technique earlier this year, winning recognition from instituitions across the world.
    Akash Manoj is a young innovator who invented a low-cost device to detect silent heart attacks at the age of 16. He is exclusively working on low cost health-care diagnostics, is an Ashoka Youth Venturer and President's gold medallist. His research for the detection of asymptomatic heart attacks is internationally recognised and validated. He is now working on his start-up - Cardioptre, which aims to deliver his research for public use.
