- We are back with another Costume History video--this time of Belle's Costume from Disney's 1991 Beauty and the Beast film. We will be covering all of Belle's costumes from the films, to Disney on Ice, to the Cruise Line, and of course the Disney parks around the world!

Finally!! I came Across a video that talks about the History of my Favorite Disney Princess & her Famous Ballgown.
But, I would like to see a video of you guys talking about Belle's Blue Village Dress & how it has changed over the years,etc.

you put so much work into these videos, i love them so much!!! also im gonna document my favs throughout the video, lol! Also, never noticed Belle's animated dress does NOT have a hoop skirt!!! You opened my eyes! I apologize for the long comment but cannot help myself lol :)
-that 1st dress is beautiful, i love the bling! Prefer this gold bling over the holographic bling on the Belle dress in Paris.
-i like the one from Dreams on Parade and Remember the Dream Show!! It reminds me a lot of the animated movie dress & the color is on point to me. Cool to see the winter version too!
-getting distracted by Cinderella's dress from Jubilation, omg I am obsessed. Belle's is gorgeous too.
-LOVE the Disney on Ice costume! love how it was adapted, love the added sleeves.
-personally not a fan of the deep dress color on the Tokyo Happiness is Here parade. Too orangey for me.
-Paint the Night float is so mesmerizing. Wow, the rose in the back too!!!
Oh my goodness! Thank-you so much! I have to be honest…I’m going to sleep a long time after this one. Haha!
-And the first dress…I know! I love that version the most for the show.
- Cinderella’s dress in Jubilation. Well. Just keep your eyes peeled around here. There may be another costume video coming. 🤫
-For the Tokyo one, it had to grow on me. I actually like it now. But that was after about the 100th time seeing it. 😂

The skirt on the Disney dream dress is AMAZING. I don't care for the dress as a whole, but holy cow. That skirt is magical.

You might be the first person I’ve ever heard who unashamedly admitted they loved her live action dress. I respect that. It’s not my favorite, but I can respect the work that went into it. Also love the work you put into showcasing each of the designs over the years.

I love Belle in her yellow winter dress
I saw the Parade of Stars when I was in the US in August 2001.
The Broadway costumes are the best imo.
I'd love to see one on Rapunzel its fascinating to me how they play with her hair

I love this series so much! Even though I know every single one of these costumes (cause I am such a meet and greet/shows/parades nerd lol) I enjoyed all 30 minutes and could easily have sat through more. I think my favourites would have to be the Soundsational Parade and A Christmas Fantasy Parade, but the one in Shanghai Disney's Beauty and the Beast production has grabbed my interest.

LOVE THIS SERIES! A quick correction: Parade of Dreams was premiered at Disneyland in 2005 for the park's 50th Anniversary. I worked in Parades at the time, and thought it was stunning! They eventually used this dress for Christmas Fantasy, where a variation of it is used to this day.

Thank you for the video, was very informative. I've still never understood why the live action version didn't include gloves, which I feel are an essential part of Belle's look. Maybe you know the reason? Do you agree the dress is better accessorized with gloves?
I love that that the finale (non-skate) is "not a hoop!" Period! ~ Agreed! Done. Ugh. Elaboration:
I dislike hooped skirts. Yet I'm a man, and I'll politely move with the motion of what falls to my hand, and flow in utmost appreciation.
But if I have any opinion in costuming, what drapes naturally along the form, and lingers in subtle longing rather than stiff upon seconds -- it's far more elegant.
My opinion: Don't wear the hoop. :\ OK, and I've ascended myself: . . . Unless you really want to. And I'll say you're gorgeous.

Really nice work showcasing each dress. But I do have a side note since I noticed it in your video. The belle dress you mention for cinderellas coronation was actually for the show cinderellabration not to mark cinderellas movies 50th in fact this show was an adaptation of the tokyo show you later mention which they were the first to do that show as part of a disney princess event they did back in 2005 or 06 can't member when exactly. It was for disneylands 50th that they brought this tokyo show to Orlando as part of disneylands 50th. I really did enjoy seeing all these dresses specially the 90s one my fav has to be I think the first one.

Ariel is definitely on the list! We have had so many requests for her. I’ll be honest that there is a different Princess coming up next, but Ariel will be soon. And the Evil Queen is such a fascinating one. I’ve definitely been taking a look at those costumes. 👀
