How to line a lightweight knit bodice. Clean finish inside. Margot peplum (Love Notions).

- Lightweight knits are great, but not so great for a pretty fitted bodice with princess seams. Lining the bodice is the trick, and it’s very easy to do. This achieves a great feel on the skin, more structure, no bra lines show through the fabric and you can enclose the skirt seam ALL IN ONE. Today, I am showing you how to line a knit princess seam bodice.
Also, a scoop neckline can become a V neckline with a V neckband. I am featuring the Margot Peplum from Love Notions for all of these demonstrations. It’s a lovely pattern with many options!

That's great information on adding length to the bodice. I am 5'8" and I am long waisted so I always have to add length to the bodice pieces.

Hi Karina. I'm trying to think of a way of lining a knit bodice in this way but with sleeves and without using a neck binding. I know how to do it when there are no sleeves using a neat 'facing' type neckline and armholes, but is it possible to do such a lining when there are sleeves. Unfortunately both the front and back bodices of this garment are cut as one piece on the fold. I could put a seam in the back but would prefer not to. Is this possible and have you done a video on it?
If you want the neckline and waistline to be enclosed, it could get real messy. I choose to enclose one of the other. If you choose the neckline, you need to stabilize it inside so it does not gape. Baste the edges of the armholes together and set in your sleeve like
Normal (not on the flat). Your waist seam would be normal attached to the skirt and not enclosed.
