    Moc pěkně zpracované a technicky bez chyby. Najít bod a stejnou perspektivu v porovnání se starou fotografií dá práci. Umíte to a za to dík.

    This is so wonderfully done. To think those buildings from 1800s or before still stands to this day is amazing!

    Wow...nicely done! I've just got back from my first visit to Prague. I was particularly struck by the changes to the old town hall. It must have been severely damaged during WWII.

      yes the damage was extensive, the part on the pic burned down completly, the clock was badly damaged to... in fact the original figurines on top were completly destroyed and had to be replaced with modern ones

    Excellently executed! Lot of research, time and effort has gone into this video. This takes a lot of patience on the creator to make this type of effort. You sir/mam should have thousamds of subscribers. Unfortunately, these days most viewers do not appreciate this kind of thing. They care only about drama, how fancy they look in the video. I appreciate this very much. Hope, you continue to bring us more of history, then and now type of videos in the future

    Some of the places are prettier now, with the pastel colors etc. Even the socialist building of the Federal Assembly or Radio Free Europe has improved the place, I think. But some places became so lame. For example, that New York style bridge with the towers was so cool. I would return the towers even if it were just a decoration.

    • @amatuspragensis6106
      @amatuspragensis6106 4 роки тому +2

      Yes these bridges were cool, but unfortunatelly they could not bear modern traffic (including trams). This was the reason why they had to be replaced.

    • @lumajs

      @@amatuspragensis6106 I still think that some decorative towers could be returned even if they were useless for the stability of the bridge.

      @@lumajs Those Building were actually colorful and pastel even back then (with the excepction of modernist buildings from 1920s onwards. You can see it on paintings and postcards that were colored at the time.

      It is true that under socialism many buildings were gray because the plasters were not renewed so often. Even today's white modern buildings will soon be gray if they are not cared for regularly. In earlier times, this did not happen so often, as it would be a shame for the owners of the house to have an ugly front facade. Under socialism, they belonged to the state and the state failed to take sufficient care of them all. This can be clearly seen in the example of the National Museum building. The building was recently cleaned and looks the same as it did in the 1890s.

      To ale nebyl původní stav, ale pseudogotická stavba z poloviny 19 století. Tohle křídlo radnice zapálili na konci války Němci, když se tam opevnili povstalci. Od té doby se vedou spory o to, co na tom místě postavit, nebo zda vůbec něco postavit.
