Thank you very much
Woooh, just open a door of opportunity! Thank you!
0:36 - Towel
0:40 - Resonating: foam on nodal points
0:58 - Half Dampened foam with half towel on top
As a composer, this is fascinating to hear about. I love the sound of them!
They are quite beautiful!
@@thirdcoastpercussion They absolutely are. I love the variety of nuances by intentionally choosing various levels of muting vs. resonance.
Are there more samples of playing these metal pipes?
Dude that's cool. Well I think it is. Finding the note in a length of pipe🎉 where's my extractors at😂👀
Hi Sean. Thank you for posting these DIY videos. I followed your tips for making the wood slats and they turned out great. Question: does using a 1” or larger diameter somehow effect the sound of the galvanized steel pipe, or is the diameter simply an aesthetic preference? All the best to you guys.
Hi Pablo-sorry for the delayed response! The different diameters do have slightly different sound qualities. And the chart we have of different lengths/pitches are all set to one particular size. Hope this helps, feel free to email us for more info! Contact info on our website.
Hi Pablo, also just want to add that if you use a different diameter conduit, it will change the resultant pitch of the pipe, just like cutting it to a different length would change the pitch. Our lengths chart should only be followed if you're using the same diameter pipe. Hope that helps!
@@seanpercussion Thanks Sean. Yes, of course. In fact, one reason for the larger diameter is to have shorter pipes. I was more concerned about the resonance and pitch focus.
Where is B5 at 😂? Guess we’ll have to experiment
Isn't this a Metallophone ??
THIS ISN'T A METAL PIPE FALLING
