Gade needs to look like he is trying his best, otherwise his opponent would look bad. C’mon people - Gade is a legend. He has professionalism, sportsmanship and tonnes of experience. His choice of shots compared to those of his opponent’s says everything. 🙂
Peter is 43 himself. I dont think there is anything particularly impressive about someone in their 30s playing badminton well. Your fitness does not drop like a landslide between your 20s and 30s if you keep your self exercised and focused.
@@andrewcannon587 I'm not surprised at all, in my local club some of the best players are in their 60s and 70s. In fact, the best singles player I've ever played against was 70 and he could outrun most of the younger ones. It's all about experience and knowing when and where to run on the court.
He's 44 years old !! Haha. Come on.. 30's gade will beat this guy sweatless 😄😄.. but still respect gade and the other guy for the passion for the sport.
Young opponents could win a bit more if they did that too. No shame in that, doesn't deserve to be called old man's badminton, when it's really just smart.
The guy in white is playing with his throttle to the floor and taking more risk than he usually take. He plays like it's his only chance to play world ranker, which it probably is. Peter Gade is playing his usual tempo and speed taking into account his age.

It's very obvious gade is playing softly
u can see how the opponent did good at the start but peter knew how to play him reducing his attack hence in the end the opponent was struggling
A last point the Legend showed his trademark shot!! Legend never die!
When a Legend give a lesson
David Snider is over 30 in this exhibition match. He's moving lightning quick for that age. Looks like he's in his early 20s to me.
Chenlong is 35
@@danielengelo8419 Not relevant to my comment. This video is about David Snider.
@@TheRealCoryKent it related to lightning quick moves
Not exactly lightning, but still fast

Happy to see canadians getting some love! Wish we could've seen Jason Ho-shue play Gade
It was like Gade's reputation was on the line 😜
The Canadian is David Snider, retired in 2011 at #124 with 38 wins and 23 losses.
very surprise both of these retirees still able to move around so quick on court.

Vasilis Tzikas you must go to a weird ass club
4:18 is repeated scene

This is very well captured but why always repeat a large section of the video? I really don't think it's necessary!

the opponent has some skills too. Hes not amateur.
A young kid with speed & agile vs a legend with skills & experienced...just don't mess with legend
The 'young kid' was 30 in this video
@@izzatizzuddin9558 Gade was 43..13years gap bruh
aswad salleh fair point, not really a young kid tho yeah?
aswad salleh and for the sake of factual accuracy, this was in 2015 and that makes him 39 in this vid. A great legend still, one of the all time best
Gade playing old man's badminton, no jumping and tire young opponents.
Bob J he is 40 something
yeah. The young kid probably in 20... PeterG still got it...
At 50 that the way I play too. Though not nearly as well.

vanness lee the Canadian guy is actually 30+ years old
_badminton ham what year did this match occur?
Gade not at his best and he seemed slower. This clip is 2015 Winnipeg when he was 38 (old for a top player who retired in 2012.)
Legendary finish!
Outstanding game of this youngster
i saw him smile in the first few seconds of the vid...
That last one was really awesome!

Wow, way to close out the game.
nice vid bro
What's his name ?
Peter was thinking for sure..."if I were 20 yrs younger, i could have put you under 10 pts.."
2:09
Nice video
King of trickshot
Don’ t hide the point!!!!!
Terrible choice of color for the walls
Opponent awake the Dragon within...
the other guy's form is bit sloppy and his footwork and timing for smash feels off
LOL. Peter Gade is no match. Hahaha
Hahaha yes gade sucks
Slippery shoes. Will be even better if the shoes not too slippery
Owkey
I,am from Indonesia
So
Bukan gade nya yg bagus tapi lawan nya yg gak berkelas
PG sucks, beaten badly by a nobody. Very overrated
Peter is so overrated.
Haha yes. Pg sucks
Guy in white is so much joy to watch, so fluid. Thanks for sharing this beautiful match. 😁👍
Haha Gade is good value.
Yes he is smoother than gade in footwork. Gade footwork is so stiff to watch
