Are you all seeing the Kingdom Come logo for the first time? Because I don’t think I’ve seen this much hate for it till the Snyder fan started bashing that first teaser image.

It is not just the costume, it is the image that they posted in general! Here we have Superman casually putting on his boots while the world is being attacked out the window! NOT a Superman I am remotely interested in seeing much less the sad excuse for a super suit he is putting on!
That is one interpretation, but another one is a super hero suiting up calmly to go kick butt.
I think you made up your mind about the movie before seeing that image. I can’t believe you actually think there’s gonna be a scene in the movie where he slowly puts on his boots while the world is being destroyed.
The movie will be as mid as the photo. Underwear on the outside? No thanks.

@@thecommercialarchive Sure I have, but why would that make any difference? The first version is always the best? That makes zero sense. They were bad back then and they're bad today.
Bro at this point, we should settle on it being GOOD. Everything else is just minor details that can be improved upon LATER.
Honestly, I like the suit, I think David Corenswet looks great in it. I know a lot of ye aren't happy with it, but I think the fact is that you give Gunn's production of this movie a chance to finish filming before they release the trailer sometime next year. Like I liked Henry Cavill's suit, and he was a great superman and I respect that, but I think it's time we all kinda move on instead of reflecting the past. I'm looking forward to Superman! next year
When they redesigned the suit for man of steel for a more modern aesthetics they succeeded. This new suit attempts to do their own modern interpretation of the suit using much more of the classic aesthetics cues but I think it fails. It's so bad that the superman returns suit I thought looked better.
ya but they forgot one basic thing, superman suit was designed on Krypton where they had a uniform based on their families... it looks more like tactical and handmade... look at the tactical linings on the suit... it reaps from batman suit where batman suit has to be tactical, superman suit has to be theatrical, that's how they both function...

James Gun’s Superman is the equivalent to Disney’s Star Wars abomination (I know 😉), in the way he spat in the face of fans by taking Superman away from the great actor that truly fits everything that makes the man “SUPER”. Henry is Superman.
Bro Henry is gone, we all have to move on. And also he's too old now, they needed a much younger superman. David Corenswet is a wayyy better actor than Henry Cavill, he is a Julliard trained actor. He has the chops to play BOTH Clark Kent and Superman, if you watch his previous work, you will see he has the dorky mannerisms to pull it off. Henry Cavill felt a bit too depressing and his Clark Kent was very stale, you couldnt separate the two personas and think they're not the same person. There's a reason why Reeves is still the best superman because he had BOTH. He could act dorky and clumsy but change stance in a few seconds to a tall, strong and hopeful person.

Gunn messed up by firing Henry, then messed things up with a new cast, now this costume looks like "THE BATMAN" costume... tactical and handmade... Superman suit was made on Krypton, Batman's suit was made by human... there is a difference
No in comics Superman's first suit was made by his mother using kryptonian clothes wrapped around him when they found him inside his space ship. Other iterations Superman made his suit using kryptonian technology. Only in MOS movie they completely changed the lore and Superman suit already designed in Krypton.
@@vishnuharidas4855 yes, there was this story along with some other story parallel story (multiverse) where it was shown that it was indeed kept inside the krypton city in artic where he was given by his father... and then again its not the point... it looks tactical... tactical in batman's suit is understandable because he has to carry his weapons, but superman with a tactical stitching irks me... and he doesn't even feel right for superman's role
@@arun_kumar0 Where is it look tactical , suit only have some lines on it. I don't like the reveal photo , it should have been some other pose of Superman. I think this suit is the most comic accurate suit of Superman in the modern age . It has a new 52 like collar , kingdom come inspired logo , Fleischer suit yellow line around logo , classic trunks , curl in hair. The pose makes it look bad and it is also battle damaged. I think James Gunn gave haters something more to hate. It should have been another pose .

I don't know why you hate Gunn , I'm not a hardcore fan of him but I like his projects The only problem in his projects is in some scenes his humour doesn't work but other scenes it is memorable for either humour or any other emotions depicted in it. This suit is really comic accurate because I already stated it is a mixture of multiple generations of Superman suits. But I didn't like this photo it should have been something better than this. The suit is good but the photo is bad. Why are you hating James Gunn? I didn't understand that?
There will always be back and forth between an old incarnation of a beloved character and a new version. How about we watch the film before we poke holes in it?

The fact people have such strong opinions over a picture of a man in a Superman costume is worrying.
While there are things I do like in the new costume like belt and boots, it also have that turtleneck that is awful and is just too similar to the previous one to justify changing actors and resetting the character.
