I may be an outsider looking in, but why do some characters in this game seem completely useless compared to others? This Valk character seems unbeatable.

It's more of the Player rather than the characters tho. You won't get anywhere using these high tier characters without having knowledge and experience to play.

Horrible game. Guy gets 4 perfects near the beginning due to instant overheads that lead to knockdowns. Why do people still play this crap?

No, not every game has dumb shit. And even if it does, it's up to us players to point that shit out so they get removed. Lol, it's possible that, BB being so scrub friendly, instead of the players complaining about actually broken stuff, they're complaining based on their opinions and popularity, which would explain why ragna gets nerfed as much as sol does to the point he's getting perfected multiple times.
I don't remember plugging GG anywhere, or saying anything about it prior to this post right here. But yeah, it's a better game. At least it's tier lists don't end up all over the fucking place.
