I agree, this was my favorite part of the stoeyline when i had the game. 100 respect for ragna when i saw this, and loved the way how he and celica were bonding....enjoyed seeing this again and remembering the chills from this. Great work! :D
@@verkbut No he's still alive, it's just his entire existence disappeared from the world with nobody even Rachel remembers the guy. He is currently with Amaterasu after he disappeared leaving no trace of his existence in the world he used to live however he left his sword for some apparent reason.
My favorite moment of all time was when Ragna was facing off against Hazama in Central Fiction. Ragna: ...Hazama, not even your ashes will remain. Hazama: Wow, very impressive! Such powerful "murderous intent!" With this... Even I could "use" it now. Ragna: Restriction 666 released... Hazama: Dimensional Interference Field... Deployed. Ragna/Hazama: BlazBlue, Activate!!
This and highlander were my top two for CP. My favorite parts were in CF. 1: When Ragna activated the Blazblue to fight Susano'o and unleashed everything and when Ragna backed Terumi into a corner and said his full tittle "The Grim Reaper. Ragna the Bloodedge." Both there AND in the arcade. When he said it in the arcade he won me over as best protagonist. 2: When Ragna sealed Izanami. 3: When they saved Tsubaki (dumb bitch, god I hate her) from Nu.
So low key I'm confused about something. Ragna originally got the azure grimore so that he wouldn't die as a child but why didn't he ever get rid of it later when his life wasn't at risk? That way he wouldn't have to deal with a monster limb that could go out of control and turn him into a monster.
Pretty much he got the arm/Grimmoire, then was nearly immediately put in Jubei's care. Jubei trained him to fight and to control the Grimmoire throughout the years, because Ragna wanted power out of absolute fear due to what happened to him. That was what he aimed to have, and he got it, he just needed to learn how to control it. Then he started going around to destroy cauldrons when he was adult, just like Jubei used to do once in a while.
The Grimoire is irrevocably a part of Ragna. It's not something he can just get rid of because of how deep his connection with it is. It's not simply a physical item, but something that bonded with his entire being. That's why his one eye is red for example, a result of the Grimoire's presence and as a result he can't see out of that eye when Celica is around.

Might be weird that he can't use his drive, since you see both his eyes open and using both his arms, but after the cutscene ends, his right eye goes blind and his right arm goes limp again.

I have CP EX. I'll play the story eventually. Getting a bit of a taste of the story from Arcade ending's so far though. Can't wait to get to the story.
