While the first gen launched the 4runner it was with the second gen that it became the iconic vehicle it is today. Thats gotta be one of the nicest ones left on the planet!
Never have had a second generation runner all have been third but have had many of the pick ups in that year range and they are a beast wish weren't all rotted in my area my have to take a trip south to get a decent one
1st and 2nd gen 4Runners are my absolute favorite.
Is it missing the transfer case skid plate?
Also, is that suspension stock? Maybe the torsion bars were tightened to raise the front a bit.
Not sure on skid plate or suspension but I feel like a lot of these 2nd gens sag a bit in the rear. I think at some point we'll figure out a way to level it.
@@DrivenCompanion I just bought one of these. 1994. Mine sits the same way and a quick Google search shows a 1.5" taller rear spring for these. I'm going that route
More interesting build subject than a FJ.
I recently bought the same white with blue strip 95' 4runner with the 5speed for $500. It sat for 5 years on a gravel driveway because of a clutch. Now it needs tires and some TLC. Thanks for sharing this
Love my second generation. Just went in to change the Nock Senser and N. S. Wire!!!! So redid in from the block up she looks so good. The motor looks cool good paint after or during the RR stuff bunch of it.😁👍
What did your teacher’s 4runner look like? I just bought a 1995 sr5 limited owned by a school teacher at one point
Almost 50k subs🎉
love it!
I just bought a 1995 4runner and the transmission switches into reverse sometimes and sometimes it doesnt we think its a shift soilenoid but dont knoe which one to change one its only like a 30min job very easy
How many miles on the 4Runner??
Question for anyone! I found a 1995 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6 TRD … I’m guessing it’s rare to see one of those or the person must’ve just added on the emblem? If it’s built like that (TRD) what’s the difference on it? Thanks!
They added the emblem
how much would a truck like this run for??
Runs like a top. Good torque wrench, get your timing right!!!! No vacum leaks ether. Then your good to go. Yes if you buy a 2 for the price of 1 nock senser and DON'T replace your know wire. Don't complain your the cheap skate!!!!!
Did you find out why it was shifting wrong
Not sure... its hit or miss. Sometimes shifts fine and othertimes it still has issues.
@@DrivenCompanion I got a 95 4runner 2wd and it does that too , I haven't taken it to the shop yet, was thinking maybe solenoids
What is Chris's channel id like to follow
He hasn't posted anything yet but if you want to be there for his first upload you can check him out at ua-cam.com/channels/-v_eHKZyUdqkO0DIC2_TEg.html
Its white and brown instead of the blue looks like that one.
These trucks will always be such a throwback. Built with such a sturdy frame and with a reliable engine for the dirt. Cheap to own and maintain, and the financial loss isn't huge in the event of an accident in these. You scored, man.
95 4runner 2wd 3.0 worth it?
How much
Sweet ride! It's a beaut!
Had a sweet 1995 Green Limited 4x4 that was our family vehicle for 7 years before it was my first vehicle and had many firsts with that truck and crazy adventures. Sadly some asshole totaled it while trying to run over his gf(ya it's a crazy story) and I almost cried as the insurance company towed it away as it was destroyed and not worth the trouble of restoring it. :'(.. anyways had great times in this baby and it never met me down not even once.
Now thats what im talking about!
Am I watching Mike C the man with the most Toyotas or TFL?
Well this one isn't mine...
@@DrivenCompanion He’s talking about the intro music, it’s the same music that the TFL Truck channel uses for their Ike Gauntlet series of videos
I have 96, V6 3.4L. The beast! 140k miles, just after ?Big Horn Toyota maintenance check up ($2500), steering bar gasket valve and just maintenance… True AWD, differential and off-road if needed!
Hi everyone, I have a 4Runner 1995, due to its age is difficult to find spare parts, and in Bolivia we don´t have many specialist. Do you think it is a good idea to sell it? Any suggestion?
I own a 95 4runner too! You should’ve gone with a 3rd gen lol!
