It looks like a 360 camera lens. It’s probably a fish eye lens that will do a follow me function just like the action 5 pro does. The action 5 pro uses this technology so I think that’s what it will be.
My guess is a form factor like the Osmo Pocket but instead of a gimbal it has a 360 camera at the top but renders out a framed stabilized view like the Pocket allowing you to control the viewpoint like it was a gimbal. Cutting down needing to do the framing in post but also giving you data and ability to if you wanted in post. Actually a pretty cool idea.
When they say mobile content creator, you know itbis going to be another boring mobile gimbal. It’s the Flow 2 Pro. The packaging has been leaked quite some time ago.

I dont think they would create such hype just to release a flow 2. It could be a great device but I noted the trailer generated so much hype. Another product despite of a new cam will cause so much disapointment imo

I have been thinking. I don’t think Dji feel the need to update the op3 just yet. It still sells like crazy one year in. I hope they take the next step and introduce a pro model to complement it. Three lenses and a slight larger screen. Perhaps a larger camera all in all. To truly make it a creators dream. Then see what Insta does with this and make the op4 to compete with it. If it is a similar product. I feel something is missing in the camera space and a pro pocket with different focal length would definitely be something I would buy. I still prefer using my iPhone because of the three lenses but if Dji make it. I’ll switch immediately.

There’s a void that needs to be filled in the pocket department. Dji has dominated that because they are the only ones. I think Insta wants to change that.
Small point and shoot cameras are making a comeback because creators want a dedicated camera instead of only using their phones. A not so pocket Pro would be the answer to me and many others. I love the op3 but it’s a vlogging camera mostly. Imagine it with some basic optical zoom capabilities so it truly becomes a creators best friend. My money is still on a hand held gimbal camera from Insta. Logical next step for them rather than another gimbal. I hope. But you are right. Let’s wait and see.
