The ps1 only has 2MB ram to work with while the saturn has the 4MB cart to bring the ram up to 6MB. having all that ram allowed all animations from the arcade to stay in and allow the true character switching.
Only one real downside to CPS2 ports to the Saturn - it doesn't support the 384x224 resolution and as such needs to default to a slightly lower 352x224. As such, in this aspect, the PlayStation version is more accurate. As for the sound effects quality... the PlayStation version is applying a softening filter and is a little quieter, otherwise they're the same effects and the same quality. Just listen to Sakura.
3D ps wins 2D saturn wins ps had hardware issues till ps4. ps1 had low ram so it couldn't handle 2d games. ps2 had no default anti-aliasing so games looked jagged, ps3 had hardware issue so it was hard to develop games for ps3.. despite all those weakness, i love playstation. :D ps5 is awesome now. it may be weaker than xbox series x when it comes to pure hardware power but unlike old days, ps5 is still powerful enough to make any games that runs good at 1080p/60fps or 4k/30fps. :p

Well of course the Sega Saturn is going to win In a 2-D game because that’s what the system is built for the three elements were Tacked on at the end of its development cycle after they Seen some of the technology that was floating around with the competition.
This has been disproved by a number of sources. 3D wasn't "tacked on" at the last minute, but the reason the Saturn seemed ill-suited for it, was the over-engineered design of the hardware. it's simple. you can't double the system memory like you can with a saturn RAM expension cart.
The ps1 only has 2MB ram to work with while the saturn has the 4MB cart to bring the ram up to 6MB. having all that ram allowed all animations from the arcade to stay in and allow the true character switching.
@@HellTantrumbull yeah with more money
NOW LOADING!
What happend if you did'n't had the 4 ram pack in the saturn version? You could still play the game?
Nicolas Reversat *The game won’t run at all*
Kk
Dang PSX, those load times...
I have no doubt that you're right
Only one real downside to CPS2 ports to the Saturn - it doesn't support the 384x224 resolution and as such needs to default to a slightly lower 352x224. As such, in this aspect, the PlayStation version is more accurate.
As for the sound effects quality... the PlayStation version is applying a softening filter and is a little quieter, otherwise they're the same effects and the same quality. Just listen to Sakura.
saturn version wins hand down
Playstation tomando pau since 1994
Shhhhh, no one comment too loud. The Saturn version is sleeping right now. It's so quiet and compressed compared to the PS version.
3D ps wins
2D saturn wins
ps had hardware issues till ps4. ps1 had low ram so it couldn't handle 2d games. ps2 had no default anti-aliasing so games looked jagged, ps3 had hardware issue so it was hard to develop games for ps3.. despite all those weakness, i love playstation. :D ps5 is awesome now. it may be weaker than xbox series x when it comes to pure hardware power but unlike old days, ps5 is still powerful enough to make any games that runs good at 1080p/60fps or 4k/30fps. :p
Saturn has little to no loading times?? and clearer voices and samples?? the Saturn is clearly superior to the PS1 version in every way. the voices and samples of games in Saturn are usually worse than the PS1 but there are exceptions such as this one! the Saturn is capable of sample decompression via one of the CPUs or the Sound CPU.
The Playstation was a brave system, but that game was too much for it.
Why can I switch players on the PlayStation version?
Sega Saturn hands down in any 2D game against PlayStation
Save for SOTN, which is sort of not a 2D game.
But not 3D
Damn the saturn makes the PS1 port look like an unplayable piece of garbage 😅
Where's the link? I can't find it anywhere.
Is this with the 2MB ram cart on the Saturn?
4MB.
Sega were the masters of arcade ports.
Saturn = arcade em casa..... só isso
Renato Oliveira exactamundo
Sega Saturn wins high resolution and frame rate
Saturn rules!!!! Psx cant mover 2d decent! !
nem preciso assistir saturn the best
SEGA 4EVER ♥️
The choice is quite obvious... Sega Saturn wins in all sections! 😅
Apart from the slower loading times on the PSX, I don't see any noticeable difference in the graphics or audio department between the 2 systems?! Can anyone make it clear?!
in 2d graphics like these what counts are the number of frames each character has, because the other assets are exactly identical.
That said, the difference is huge. nobody in their right mind would play this on PS1 if they had the option to play it on Saturn.
Plus the sound is terrible on ps and sound effects and bgm aren’t balanced.
@@kamarrawlings6285Well that's a first for the PS1. It was usually the opposite and all PS1 ports being the better games. Most notably CastleVania SOTN!
@@bizarroeddie1 You exaggerate, the animation frames are no chaotically different in the 2 ports enough to distract you. You'd have to put them running side by side to even notice.
@@alxxz i don't think you ever played these games to say this.
Of course, if you only played the PS1 one and not the others you would not notice.
But if you did you would notice straight away how jerky the idle animations are. And obviously, no tag, which is enough to make this port an instant pass for a lot of people.
PS is just inferior to the Saturn in 2D games no 4mb ram for ps is going to help that plain and simple.
*Best version system CPS2 !!*
I have these games on my saturn and would love to see these come out to today's consoles.
Capcom need to release a cross generation collection. Now that would be worth money. Plus making them online compatible
Saturn ????the best version
Sus comentarios en ESPAÑOL porfavor
Es que no entiendo ni MAIZ
:v igual solo dicen sega gano :v
Well of course the Sega Saturn is going to win In a 2-D game because that’s what the system is built for the three elements were Tacked on at the end of its development cycle after they Seen some of the technology that was floating around with the competition.
This has been disproved by a number of sources. 3D wasn't "tacked on" at the last minute, but the reason the Saturn seemed ill-suited for it, was the over-engineered design of the hardware. It could do impressive 3D visuals, but Sega's lack of a comprehensive Dev-kit meant that Sega and Sega alone knew how to get the most out of the system. Very few third party developers cracked it. Lobotomy and...yeah I think that's it.
Simply Sherbert Travellers Tales too. Sonic R is arguably the system’s most impressive 3D title.
Incorrect.
@@SomeOrangeCat Correct.
Is there any good about the ps1 version
It has better Sound Effect quality, But the Saturn has bad sound effect quality.
No, the Saturn beats it in every way on this game!!!!
Saturn sem comparação...
Sega Saturn wins!
Reason I had a Saturn back then
My Saturn talked back to me !!!!!!!
VC VÊ CLARAMENTE NO VÍDEO QUE GRAFICAMENTE ERA A MESMA COISA SÓ QUE NO PLAYSTATION NÃO TINHA QUADROS POR SEGUNDOS SUFICIENTE IGUAL DO ARCADE !! KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Sega wins 👌😈
I prefer Sega version
Saturn wins again. Next.
